Veteran Politician Sikota Wina has refused to issue any statement over his meeting with Induna Batuke Imenda and some Lozi royalists held yesterday at his farm.

Mr Wina also declined to comment on the cancelled press briefing which was supposed to be held.

Journalists were yesterday turned away from a meeting held by Mr Wina and Induna Batuke Imenda along with about fifty Lozi royalists.

The closed meeting which was to be followed by a media briefing was held at Mr Wina’s Mimosa Farm in Chilanga.

Mr Wina was scheduled to brief the media but later a Mr Boni Mubukwanu who was supposed to be the master of ceremony informed journalists that the briefing had been postponed.

  1. Wise man. He needs to “chew the cad” before opening his mouth. He understands that he must speak responsibly and not later recant what he will have uttered.

  2. Mr Wina wise move, you still remember what the current govt did for your family during the time of your bereavement. Dont blindly follow those indunas

  3. he pump sense in their heads, but they are still wondering,so they need first ask their “king” LITUNGA the statement to be issued, wise move as we keep our fingers crossed

  4. Bo Sikota, please advise those Indunas to stop their sessesion call becouse the majority of us(Lozis) are not for the idea!!!!!! Let them call for a refrundum over the barotse issue in western province and see how many are supporting them!!!! Let the peace that we have enjoyed since independence prevail in Zambia! One Zambia One nation!!!!!

  5. It is very interesting to see how civil wars begin in Africa. Again and again, the attitude of winner takes it all adopted by African govts spark infernos and people suffer. And yet it is the poeople who end up suffering who seem always so earger to fuel the infernos. Mark my word, this BA64 matter is a ticking time bomb! These Loziz are earger to seccede and whether we like it or not, they will tear off from Zambia.

  6. In the strict sense of the word patriotic, there are very few Zambians proud of their country. Only those benefiting from the retention of the status quo are glad the nation persists in its current form. Half a century after attaining our independence, our income per capita is lower than at independence implying that we are practically moving backwards, in long strides. Only those responsible for this failure, and its creators like Wina and KK, would want it to persist. I mean, we are too dofferent as a people to belong flock together. Can anyone tell me common traits between Tongas and Bembas besides the colour of their skin? Zambia is a failed experiment, the sooner we abandon it the better, better late than never!

  7. Mr Wina,
leave it be. stay away from trouble. relieve how your life has been. no need causing havoc for yourself. you dont need no insults and upsets. Enjoy your days at the farm. You are a Winner. God bless you in all you are passing through.

    Take it easy.

  8. Barotseland issue is non starter, Zambia will always remain one. You confused Lozis you will regret.

  9. Please, let sanity prevail, there will be no sessession. Why can’t people see that, these people agitating for sessession are the ones who eat with both hands. The so called prime minister has eaten from the kaunda regime to Mwanawasa without care for the people of barotse and now that they brown envelopes have evaporated, they want to champion the cause which they never did in 46yrs ago. I know alot of young lozis are not for the cessession because some have not even been there since they were born. Say NO, NO to these selfish so called Indunas and elders who have come to see the suffering of people after falling out of favour with the GOVT. Let Barotse enjoy the peace it has always enjoyed and never think we will let go of our lozi brothers, aunties, uncles, cousins etc.

  10. U *****s whether in our life time or not Baroste will pull out of Zambiya sooner or later. And why waste time a smaller Zambiya will be easy to manage! PF leave the pipo! Let them go! Look at sudan, palestine, ussr, hong kong and taiwan, its happening brothers.

  11. I think the best to solve this Balozi’s issue is KK and Guy Scott. Guy being a son of a white freedom fighter, he can easily convince those coward lozis to forget about crying over an ex-wife Zambia. Anyway my point is that Lozis should stop asking fellow blacks, they need to consult umusungu who is running Zambia now. Its payback time.

  12. Well, Zambians are renouned for other things but not the ability to think logically when they are faced with stack choices. I mean, they had a pool of presidential candidates to choose from but they opted for an erratic former Victoria Station platform sweeper who was once discharged from the Rhodesia Royal Rifles for mental instability. Even in this Barotse case, you can see the matter fast drifting towards a fully blown civil war but Zambians are still wholly oblivious of what is about to hit them. If they think what their Lozi friends tell them in the Tarvens of Lusaka is what is obtaining on the ground in Barotseland, then they do not deserve to be called fellow citizens.

  13. We should not go into oblivion KK,CHILUBA,MWANAWASA(their souls rest in piece) and RB did not allow it to go ahead why then MCS????????????? please we need piece.Do not pretend and be cheated we are ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION,otherwise we will regret.Thank you Mr Sikota.

  14. Should we wait for KK and Sikota to die before addressing this barotse issue? This issue must be attended to NOW whilst KK and Sikota are around. If they die, there will be distortion of events and what actually happened will be distorted. Zambia this is the time to wake up!!!!

  15. The fact is lozis will never rule zambia and we will continue to press them down like kaunda did to mundia, like chiluba did to aurthur wina, like sata has also done to lubinda-reason is simple they will restore the BA64 agreement – so zambians let us continue pressure until they are silenced. Those jets we recently bought must not be removed from Western until they work like lupiya banda did.Let us put a new constitution in place and make sure treason rules pass through and subject people attending such meetings or allowing their places to be used for such meetings are charged for treason by so doing we will unite the country and get rid of the small number troubling us.time will tell mukaponokafye bwino mwe malozis fikalafyenu m******mwe.Non starter.

  16. This beautiful country is headed for a division, and these chaps are not being tactical in the way they are handling this issue. I am Lozi and to be honest, I am not in support of this succeeding stuff but if it all turns bloodily you need not ask which side I will take. These bembas are not being sincere in their words and actions and the few Lozis who will remain shall face the wrath, mark my words!:((:((

  17. #14, what does western province have which makes u think they can compare with south sudan for example. What, sand? fish? rice? u r a joke mate, compare that to oil??? u r having a laugh

  18. I dont see any reason why the lozis think they can seperate frm Zambia and survive. Those who think barotseland can survive on sand and fish are stupid fools who cant see beyond their noses.Comparing barotseland to south sudan is unreasonable and shows that some poeple dont think or refuse to think.South Sudan has oil and is economilly much more stable. What does barotseland have?South Sudan has an army, what does barotseland have?Does any one think a few criminals in the name of linyungandambo can defend barotseland if Zambia invades barotseland?Wina has done well to keep quiet about this issue.I hope he advised the indunas the dangers of seceding from Zambia. We will deport all lozis from Zambia and impose visas for any lozi to visit Zambia.

  19. Lozi’s are afraid to confront KK over this issue, because he KK will tell them that you stupid *****s sitdown, like his old days of young vibrant father of the nation used to be sacasitic somes.

  20. @What a life, you are a fool… you definitely don’t think, very common for all kolwestans. hallucinating all day like CNP is representing you morons. f..k off our backs we seriously don’t need you. Our relatives have lived through the years, when did Zambia come into being for you to say we can’t live without it. Rubbish…change you fools common sense not this stupidity you show here daily.

    • I do not see logic in your blogging, there is no need to use derogative language just air your view nicely and we will see if its worth reading. Why are you bitter??????????????????

  21. Onlt time will tell but it seems it’s only Bembas and Nyanjas opposed to the seccession of Barotseland. I can understand with both groups because they both left their Bantustans and are refugees in Chief Nkana and Nkhomesha’s kingdoms. Their homes are dead poor! If Barotseland has nothing as they believe, let them wait until we dam the Zambezi river and the falls and Kariba dry out. Then they will know their lives actually depend on our benevolence.

    • Terminal,

I think the Zambezi can drown a whole province, and spill over, if you tried to stop it from going into Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and the ocean by your superior technology (Are you really a heart patient?)
Another thing, many Zambians are proud of Zambia. We do not have provinces to run back to because we have only seen the world moving forward and never backwards.

  22. I happen to be commenting to make you know what a exceptional encounter our princess encountered visiting your site.
