Hichilema refuses to retract statement

United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema
United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema

UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema has vowed not to retract his statement of allegations suggesting that the Patriotic Front was sending its cadres to Sudan for militia training.

Mr. Hichilema said that he is aware that the Director for Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito is trying to create evidence to use against him once he admits and retracts the statement.

The opposition leader has told QFM news that he will not allow Mr. Nchito to hold him to ransom as well as blackmail him.

He said that Mr Nchito is faced with the conflict of interest in the DBZ case and is trying to silence the opposition as they seem to speak on the matter in the interest of the nation.

Mr. Hichilema has further stated that Mr. Nchito does not deserve to be the Director of Public Prosecutions on the basis that he is compromised.

The UPND leader has charged that Mr. Nchito is behaving like a cadre for the PF and has questioned why the DPP seems to be talking on behalf of the ruling party.

And Mr. Hichilema said that he will not appear before the Police who have summoned him to appear before them today.

Mr. Hichilema said that following the alleged Police brutality that took place yesterday, he will not allow the police to continue violating his human rights.

The opposition leader has also challenged the Lusaka Province Commissioner of Police Solomon Jere to stop issuing misleading statements indicating that he is on the run.

Mr. Hichilema has since advised the Police investigations team to concentrate on bringing to book the police officers who allegedly brutalized people yesterday leaving two in a critical condition.

  1. What a joke of a country
Ignore him, when ignore people they go away, atleast that is what my mum uses to say to me He is exhibiting prime traits of how not to behave if you want to win public support/sympathy but then again some muppets will still vote for him

    What a joke
    Thanks

    • HH must open his eyes, especially that UPND is the only challenge to PF in future elections. As such Sata does not sleep,he will try everything to conspire and weaken UPND inorder to strengthen his hold on power. HH summarise campaign message as: “2016 VOTE UPND FOR A TRANSFORMATION IN EDUCATION&LEGAL SYSTEM, INDUSTRIES, AGRICULTURE &SOCIAL-ECONOMIC EMANCIPATION” UPND for development and true democracy!!!

  2. That is why I was advocating saying and I mean this by the way

If someone offered me a million dollars to spend the rest of my life in Zambia, I would decline the offer. Why ? Well that is not much anyway, and why should I be subjected to place without good restaurants, abysmal healthcare. No proper roads, no decent designer shops, too HOT compared to Glasgow, No ‘real men’ to look at, nothing to spend money on, bad roads, not good schools, I can go on and own. I am sure I am not alone who would decline this non tempting offer. You all would, after all most of you are immigrants

    Thanks

  3. Hey people. There’s some interesting news on other sites. NASA is sending videos in HD of Mars, that’s more interesting don’t you think? Atleast we will be learning more about science and other planets.

  4. Stand your ground my man.Good stance you have taken. pf is trying to blind citizens on the 14bn saga by talking nonsense. Go on HH the nation is watching.

  5. The aim of the opposition in Zambia is to destroy the country nothing else! They are blinded by their greed for power.

  6. Arrest and charge this arrogant, egocentric, belligerent, political whimper, political non-descript and let the law take its full course…. period

    • Arrest for what? Being arrogant, egocentric, belligerent, political whimping and a non-political discript? Since when were these traits a crime?

    • I am sorry if you live in an outer space cocoon and oblivious to the crimes that your HH has committed against the state.
Ask HH if you can read, hope he helps you.
You are a worry indeed….sorry I cant help you

    • I didn’t think there was substance in your posting and it clearly shows. The whole point of blogging is to enlighten those that are in “outer space cocoon” and not just empty and pointless guffing. If there are any crimes against the state committed by HH, he would be incarsarated by now and it would not take me to ask HH or you to establish the crimes. There is enough PF vuvuzela’s in the Country including the Post newspaper and Sata himself.
Final word, I dont do cheap politics and do not support any political party but rather a Zambian with the full interest of the direction our nation is going. I supported PF on dual citizenship and I will support HH and any one who is fighting the dictatorship of Sata and the now police state.

    • Of course I didn’t expect you to see the significance of my posting. I suggest you re-read the article, my post and then look at your reply. You are way offline.
You blatantly mischaracterized my description of behavior and personality of your HH as “crimes” over which he should be arrested and charged. That’s not what my posting says….. chizungu chavuta?

    • As I said, I didn’t think there was any substance in your blog, irrespective of which way you want to turn. I have read the article and your blogs and I still can’t understand your call for HH to be arrested? It’s not a matter of understanding the language on my part. The article is very clear in suggesting that HH has refused to retract his statement for reasons stated. You then call for his arrest and I ask you on what grounds? Instead of stating the grounds for arrest, you state I am in some cocoon land and ignorant of HH’s crimes against the state…well, I still ask the same question, what are those offences against the state for which HH should be arrested?
If I’am still failing to understand the language, then kindly educate me but please state the offences.

  7. I KNOW HOW THIS ONE ENDS .NOW FOR YOU MUSHOTA YOU LIKE TROLLING TOO MUCH ANYWAYS .YOU ARE LUCKY I KNOW YOU.

  8. Hakainde Economic Terrorist, we are not talking about DBZ here, go and answer why are u scared? You u still have to tell us about how u siphoned money for privatization.

    • I agree this chap HH reaped off Luanshya mine.He should be arrested so that he can account for the money he plundered

    • Hamiyanze! Take hh to court instead of rantling in the media. Media is nt a court. By the way its nt hh bt u to explain to the people how you stole or conned someone leading to ur arent and being jailed. Ur just a hungry stomach looking for food frm pf and faz. We knw u!

  9. Was the aim of PF to distroy when they raised all sorts of issues in order to rule this country? I do not think so. PF promised more cash and jobs in 90days a promise which was believed by many who failed to think beyond simple reasoning that this was not achievable. What makes opposition parties have a ground to shine or talk or take the seating in govt to task is when such a govt (i.e. PF led govt) starts failing to leave up to its promise/s. PF all they need to do is concetrate on finding solutions to the youths problems, who have already registered unhappyness with the govt during the Agri-show here in Lusaka. HH can not make them fail to deliver but only themselves can determine the direction of the nation.

  10. this is chess…. HH needs to be arrested, if he is not arrested then the PF government has no teeth. irrespective of what happened yesterday, he can not refuse to go to the police for summons…. but he is very intelligent. If PF arrests HH, he wins, if they dont arrest him, he wins again. Chimbwi no Plan is going to need a medical check up soon because of HH… im loving this, viva HH

  11. I am fed up of this underfive. He’s too childish to be a leader of a party which was so vibrant but given this leadership on a silver plate to a childish man. Shame.

  12. Arrest the fool and teach him civilised manners, not the tonga crap his cows fart in his face

  13. So HH will not retract his unfounded statement because Nchito is compromised? What a poor way of arguing. All along, HH has tried to show Zambians that he is the most clever politician but this defense fails the test of logic. I think HH knows what he said was untrue but he is just trying to win popularity and build his image. It is politicians like him we Zambians should reject. They have nothing to offer to the country.

    • You are correct!!! He is the real Chibwi no plan indeed! Why politicise a false story which he is failing to substantiate!! Lock up the under five if he fails to report to the Police as summoned, period!!!!

  14. I can’t see the connection between Mutembo Nchito and claims HH made that PF was sending youths to train as militias in The Sudan. The question is: Is HH able to substantiate that story? Can he prove his claims? I think he hasn’t addressed this question. I am also not for the idea of Jack Mwiimbu representing HH in this matter because he may see things differently. He’s emotionally connected because it concerns the president of his political party. What am seeing is like HH expects the PF to go to court, which will ultimately be a civil matter. However, this is a criminal case, hence the involvement of Mutembo. The Police may have sought the opinion of the DPP, who in turn has seen a prima faci case. The best he can do is advise HH to retract the story. We will indeed wait and see

    • You seem to exhibit some sense in your posting but somehow missing the point or blatantly misleading the gullible. The DPP like the Police are PF cadres and doing this on the directive of the Govt. That makes them a compromised unit. The statement HH made can be traced to Wynter Kabimba who was proud to announce a PF initiative to send PF cadres (only) to Sudan for training. Colleague in Sudan includes military training so it will not take a scientist to figure out what and why Sudan. And even if HH made a false statement what is the criminality committed? If the PF (whom HH refered to) are aggrieved they should sue him in a civil court. Involving the Police in political rethoric is sowing seeds for anarchy.

    • The Police and the DPP are part of the GVT machinery and not PF cadres, except if you are telling us they will become UPND cadres in the unlikely event that this once vibrant Party now led by an egosentric underr five take over government. God forbid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  15. ah! Mr. HH! You have run out of money to pay poor hungry Zambia to be imbeciles today.
    Ulimbe.
    This is just the beginning

  16. Wanted UPND President HH.we have launched aman hunt for the suspect and proceed with caution as he is persumed armed and dangerous a reward of a position of district commision will be given anyone with information on the wereabouts of the suspect.

  17. Hey you PF muppets(including the empty tin Mushota), let me explain the situation in simple english for you to understand what HH is saying: Mutembo Nchinto, a compromised PF cadre who has a case to answer over the DBZ 14 billion kwacha saga has no moral authority to give impartial legal advise to the govt. Whatever advise he gives will be seen as biased since his prime motive is to please his master Sata so that he does him some favours over the DBZ saga. I expected some i.diots like Mushota who live in civilized democracies like the UK to understand such simple issues but instead they chose to leave their brains behind and go for tribal loyalty.

    • uli cha mano boi. did you do any social science course coz your analysis is beyond the ordinary. mushota is a shame to this country. let her return to help develop this nation instead of living off the hardwork of other people’s forefathers. shame on you mushota. you even have the guts to brag about being an economic refugee. this is not MTV mama and jersey shore. you’ll always be a second class citizen in glasgow. I’ve course mates whose points of view are now more enlightened because of their foreign exposure. you on the otherhand leave much to be desired

    • You are right brother! Mutembo has may have no moral right but definitely has legal authority in the issue at hand. In civilised communities, legal authority MUST be respected as illegality has nasty consequencies. Take heed my friend and always be on the side of legality or else………….!!!!!!!!!!!

  18. So Pa Fyamba cadres have hijacked this site!! No amount of hijacking of sites will dissuade us from pointing out your failures. We want change . . we want change . . .we want change!!!!

    • muleishupa fye. count how many pipo r for pf and those for HH. PF is gettin more n more popular imwe ba fikala. mukafwa na heart attack. boi mushota atishani apo………………..kekekekekekehehehehehehehohohohohohuhuhuhuhuh

  19. The story was fabbrictd by mmembe en he is pushing chito to be emberasd in court.HH supportd the judges en they will hit back at chito en mmembe by aquiting hin en this will make him more populor .just igno the under five

  20. Zed Patriot dont even bother to respond to those pf muppets who are obviously on the govt pay roll to try and show that pf still enjoys popular support on the ground.

  21. Zambians please listen and listen GOOD. Unless you stop these evil Politics of hate/revenge and careless talk, you are driving this country into turmoil and only ENEMIES of peace, the thieves who stole from the poor in RB’s Govt will win in the end. Mind you, we only have Zambia as our home, the others have somewhere else to go. Please read the warnings on the wall; others are running serious battles everyday (SYRIA), no matter how much cash you may have/posses, running away from your own home due to a civil war will have serious consequences on your own children and wont take us anywhere. Don’t say i never warned you…

  22. Ka HH was wrong to take his young cadres into police premises with him, it was sheer yellow bellied utter downright cowardice at the very lowest extreme after what happened to the young men last time around and the Police need more updated crowd control training, how does one fire a tear-gas canister in a confined area like a corridor even Stellar and other top coppers were choking upstairs..
My humble question to this chap HH is what do you really want in Zambian politics, what do you dream of at night about my beautiful country when you are sleeping please share your dreams and visions not your bitterness?
This is an unbiased opinion from an observer.

  23. @zed ptriot uli cha mano boi. did you do any social science course coz your analysis is beyond the ordinary. mushota is a shame to this country. let her return to help develop this nation instead of living off the hardwork of other people’s forefathers. shame on you mushota. you even have the guts to brag about being an economic refugee. this is not MTV mama and jersey shore. you’ll always be a second class citizen in glasgow. I’ve course mates whose points of view are now more enlightened because of their foreign exposure. you on the otherhand leave much to be desired

  24. @chipuba chenu…..I know yu ar nt in zambia that’s why u can issue such ufounded statements, we ar enjoying the respect of zambian dignity by the new govt only those still with mmd rule hangover like zfe, en those filled with envy, and trying to be copywrites ar dissilusioned en think otherwise………

    • Agree with you Totally. I was home last month and speaking to ordinary people, they are loving it and they can see hope.

  25. stupid coments from stupid people who are like water in the river no that those who take others to slevely they will also be taken they do what ever they can coz their are in ruling time will come when they will run to and from hh be a man let god protect u tel the truth none is right even the noise makers lets be honest people who is bad betwen the two

  26. Whats happening in Zambia! We are tired of drama.I’m sure in the history of Zambia there has never been so many warn and caution statements issued over nonsense.Police are now a political party or rather behaving like the armed wing of PF Kaponyas. The DPP is another joke! CNP is evident on a daily basis…..hmm there hasn’t been a district created this week am sure our President who has been rather silent is working on it.

  27. I have remebered sata dared Mwanawasa that it was him who incted the miners to strike in Luanshya and Mwanawasa locked him up and the miners voted for sata.My question is who is HH speaking for?My advice is that he should change his strategy because what worked for sata may not work for him.

  28. PF shud know, if Sata in opposition was treated in the same way, he wud have died in jail due tto his vulgar language and confrontational politics that time.  HH must open his eyes, especially that UPND is the only challenge to PF in future elections.

  29. Mushota you just behave like you are the only one who is abroad and has seen the good side of the world. There are many zambians in Diaspora some doing very well and are quietly living their life happily without ukonta, Its like you are in a fantasy island ! Remember, you will end as DUST cause that is what the law of creation demands. Every living creature will end up as dust in the soil. Just thank God and live the best of your life time while you are still alive. Unless you tell me that in that country people do not die and you have an everlasting life, that is fantasy. !!!!

  30. @ Zed Patriot. Are you sure if Miliband of the Labour aprty in the UK alleged that the Tory’s were sending their cadre’s abroad for militia training abroad he would not be asked to substantiate his claim? It’s very irresponsible for HH to make such comments when he has no evidence and arrogance won’t save him either.

    • He would but not by the police! And if his statement can be attributed to a Snr Tory member then no one would even bother asking him but the questions would be upon the Tories to distance themselves or clarify the matter. Never would political wrangles be resolved by the Police threatening arrests…

  31. “statement of allegations suggesting that the Patriotic Front was sending its cadres to Sudan for militia training”. I thought this statement is an issue between PF and UPND leader. How does DPP and Police come in this issue and ask him to retract? It was inter party politics. It should be PF calling for the retraction of statement. We are just watching and laughing other people’s comments and actions being taken by the DPP and Police.

    • This boarders on national security. Even I who is not a PF cadre but is a Zambian national is alarmed at such sentiments. the question you should be seriously asking yourself is ‘what was HH insinuating?’

    • And Cisi cesu wants to be a leader of the nation when you cant comprehend very basic issues. Nimwe mutoba na example mu class.
      Shame on you

    • Cisi Cesu,
You are 100% right in you analysis but the two respondents are “drunken” PF sympathisers and only “copy” verbetum what their masters say. What national security issues can a sane man deduce from such a political statement from the second opposition leader of a country? It’s like saying a priest talking about poverty in Zambia is “inciting” people to rise against Govt? Or indeed Fr Frank Bwalya parading with his red card campaign is inciting the people to rise against the Govt. you two respondents grow up and think about the harm you are bringing upon the nation.

  32. HH, just ignore those stupid call-outs! Every day its call-outs, in your own country!? Don’t PF muppets have work to do? You go to address students at Hone they give u call out, you go to visit your mbuya in Solwezi its call out! They only stop calling-out you when you are busy attending your cattle in southern province, uzapulumuka bwanji mu politics kansi?? :)

  33. Cisi Cesu, the statement by a political leader which is alarming and can create a rift between 2 nations is not inter party politics. The police should arrest HH, charge him and send him to court. Maybe only then, will this arrogant liar realise that being acrimonous never won anyone popularity. After all the judiciary has proved that it is independent by blocking a tribunal against its own officers and they were supported by the same HH. DPP, send him to court and let him deal with his wild and mindless accusations under the judiciary arm of government! It is preposterous for UPND cadres to expect all of us to swallow HHs’ nonsense just because they are upset with the PF victory! # 24 Ndola Alderman, scream, scream more, maybe government will automatically change! Shameless nincompoop!

    • MundiaM,
Please Dont try and create a mountain out of a hill. What state takes serious utterances of an opposition political leader. One who is infact second in significance? China and Zambian relations never went sour after Sata declared that he would chase them if elected? Do you not wonder why and why should HH’ statement cause so much rift between nations whose Govts have cordial relationships? Please stop finding excuses for the persecution of innocent people in Zambia. Priests talking about poverty has now become a crime in our “democratic” state.

  34. I thought HH was somoned for his apearance at Hone. Now they have changed the game and reverted back to an old story. Bemba’s are dictators. They can’t just operate in a democracy where free speach abounds. Let people express themselves freely. It does not endanger the nation in any way shape or form. PF hooligans need to be fought tooth and nail. HH is my hero today. Lets take these fools to the international court of justice for there can be no justice in Zambia.

  35. This matter needs proper and well trained people or else zambia will be on fire. This is the start of war in zambia.HH has a right just like any zambian to assemble.so you Hamiyanze you want to cheat pf to help you after a mesirable life in prison.l don’t even understand how you find wisdom to comment for you are a certified criminal for bouncing a simple cheaque you should learn to shut your dirty mounth if you continue i will give the police more info about how you wanted to assasinate somebody be careful opper or else you ll be a loughing stock.

  36. HH is is just childish and now losing suport of well meaning Zambians. Come to Zambia and ask people if HH is any popular…the answer will be a categorical no. People say HH has become so childish and visionless that he is every day wasting time of Zambians. All people are getting on well with each other regardless of tribe…only you people in the diaspora are seeing that division. I think you should stop washing the asses of the whites there only may be you will be civilized.

  37. # 46…which war are you talking about. A bitter person like HH bringing war?? I am just laughing. Wait for the day he enters Chimbokaila is when you know that HH is just a mere person. Know that on that day all the Chibolya people he is hiring will refuse to accompany him. He will be roting in jail alone. Know that HH has no support in any part of Zambia than Southern province, Now what war are you talking about…..

  38. What PF is doing is bad for their party, they just need to ignore this under five, rather than the coverage they are giving him. Politicians dont learn, MMD used to do the same to Sata and those same mistakes PF is repeating them. What is wrong with these people , kanshi? Please, ignore him whatever crime he has committed, just ignore him.

  39. Interesting, an individual versus the Republican police! I would like to see where we go and for how long. Someone must be making wrong turns. I think in politics when you go in with bitterness you will be met with like force opposite to yours. One thing is clear, when one feel has lots of money, feels must have own way in everything. well, there are pros and cons. Having known African politics for a while now, things can be rough, really rough especially if one deliberately invites trouble for oneself. I advice everyone to be level headed, its a long way to 2016. I like the Retreat by the MMD. That a considered position. When running Marathon you don’t run like competing in 100 metres run. Watch your speed.

  40. If the statement you HH made is false why not simply retract it? Don’t even link it to other issues. It is just the statement you made, simple. This is how leaders confuse masses. Why live the issue of the statement you made on your own and start talking about Mutembo Nchito and other cases!!!??? What connection? When thinking goes low, scapegoats are bound. Its like Mushota of glasgow in UK who keeps talking down a country for no apparent reason, just because is living well in adopted country, though never left as a refugee or asylum seeker. Thinking can go wrong. HH please just retract the statement. What is wrong is wrong, don’t stick by it. Take the right move man. If you are upright just say the truth and move on.

    • Floyd,
Why don’t you read the blog by Silent Spectator @55 (if it remains). You may well see that the statement from HH is not without basis. It is now clear that the Police and the DPP’s office is compromised as they they are being used as instruments of persecution. That’s the link.

  41. It’s blasphemy of the worst order, and ordour, for Sata’s Bemba cadres to keep on parroting the diseased functional illiterate’s stinking verbature of ‘bitterness and not recovered from the shock’ all the time. HH has the right to stay away from the police, the onus is on Sata and Kavimba to prove they’re not training Zambian Janjaweedos. Sata should also show us the guns KK hid in Sindamisale or the Nalikwanda he claimed would be paddling all over Shimwalule if Inonge won! These are just chickens coming back home to roost. Winangu’s heart will kaput this year from high blood pressure fimo fimo!

  42. The Post published a story under the following heading: PF secures Sudanese scholarships for cadres
    By Moses Kuwema
Sun 06 May 2012, 15:00. The story was quorting Winter Kabimba who stated that these scholarships were only for PF cadres and not any other Zambian. Is is it not open to speculation as to what type of training these youths will receive as Sudan has never been known for its training prowess but indeed for its militia? Are people too lazy to read between the lines?

  43. Ignore HH at your own peril, come summer, winter or sunshine,i will vote for him.Atleast he is a sensible Leader in comparison with CNP leadership.Viva HH

  44. It is disappointing that Guy Scott, a person with a rich heritage of the rule of law in Great Britain as well as the current Vice President does not know that the DPP is supposed to be independent when carrying out his job. This means that the PF Government or the state police can neither make the DPP prosecute a particular case nor stop him from doing so. The DPP decides whether to prosecute people for committing crimes and what the charges should be. Once the prosecution starts, the Office of the DPP is in charge of the prosecution case. It is strange that in this case a corrupt DPP in colluding with the Zambian police to force HH to apologise? What kind of rubbish is this? If HH cooperates with the police and retracts his story based on instructions from the DPP then he is equally dull.

  45. too many blind followers in zambia, open your eyes maxwell is like that mmd support from last year .trolling too much iwe maxwell.coz he is get something from pf.time we tell

  46. The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) is the independent prosecuting authority, responsible for the prosecution of all serious offences committed against Zambia’s criminal law. Guy Scott and the his boss Michael Sata in the PF Government seem to conveniently forget that the DPP does not investigate crime – that the role of the investigating crime lies with the police. A question for HH is: do you not have friends or associates in the United Nations where this matter can be taken for fair adjudication? Have you considered opening a radio station (Outside PF’s jurisdiction) where matters of this importance can be highlighted?

  47. What Zambians don’t realize is that today its a catholic priest, tomoro HH, then z-watch dog, etc lastly it will be you and then it Wil be too late Sata would be the only voice of reason around

  48. MUSHOTA…what is Glasgow to London? l am in London and do feel proud to go home. We had hope in Ukwa’s boma but we r getting disappointed. HH is gona show them as he is stubborn too!

  49. Countrymen, this culture of ‘Police call-outs’ it seems to be like a Zambian thing? Nowhere lve been in the world do l ever hear opposition leaders and NGO people called to explain statements made

  50. @ Njekwa #41: First of all the UK govt system wouldn’t allow a crime suspect like Nchito to be appointed DPP. Secondly David Cameron/Queen Elizabeth wouldn’t instruct the police to summon an opposition leader for questioning over such trivial issues. The best they would do is take the case to court. Thirdly, don’t you think this is just a political ploy by Mmembe and Nchito to deviate people’s attention from the valid points HH made about Evelyn Hone College? How many Zambians care about what HH said abou Sudan? Even the Sudanese govt is not complaining so why the interest from PF. Wake up baba, Mmembe and Chito are playing good boys to Sata so that he can save them from paying the 14 billion kwacha. That money can go a long way in improving the conditions at Hone.

  51. ok make sure i would also avoid jail no matter what it would take,no one can breave it except jesus…so HH being under 5,you want him to rot there…@ mushota you are not special than others in diaspora, but wait for God to show you that pride can be brought down

  52. Politics in Zambia are getting interesting. Except they are based on something not so refined. Just based on crude thinking. For three months now I haven’t read of any developmental issues being articilated from the opposition front! If British, German, USA, Austrialian, etc opposition parties behaved like out own, they would not have developed that much. They have now reachedplanet Mars when we are at witch hunting level! Come on opposition take the ball game to greater heights. Think of a time when Zambians’ well-being will be high up. Mushota likes it in UK because those people worked in harmony, both ruling and opposition. If they did it we can do it too. Just wanting others to fail every day is not good enough.

    • Floyd
The responsibility to articulate and present development programmes lies with the the ruling party and not the opposition. If you have not heard anything to do with development in 3months, you should either be asking what the hell is Govt doing? Or try and read between the lines. In as far as the PF Govt is concerned, their priority is to silence the opposition and any divergent views irrespective of where that comes from. The church is not sacred either. The role of the opposition is to offer alternatives but this Govt does not have anything progressive in order to offer alternatives. That’s why all meaningful opposition leaders are now bogged down in defending democracy as opposite to the dictatorship Govt of Sata.

  53. muleishupa fye. count how many pipo r for pf and those for HH. PF is gettin more n more popular imwe ba fikala. mukafwa na heart attack. boi mushota atishani apo………………..kekekekekekehehehehehehehohohohohohuhuhuhuhuh… pabwatoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sata nafuti nafuti

  54. I am sure all wrong people in politics will be dead in next one and half years for the sake of Zambia’s peace, and so it shall be

  55. # 55 Silent Spectator you have said it all and wish all bloggers can recall this article in the post where PF govt said will train PF only youth militias in Sudan. Kabimba confirmed it. How has it become an offence for the opposition to qhestion the motive behind it. Frightened govt always react violently when taken to task by its citizens.

  56. I hope your life more wonderful’s a good, You have brought up a very excellent details post.

  57. I do not usually answer posts but I am going to in this case, great information?- I will certainly bookmark your site. Keep up the good operate!’s a Also, I have shared your website in my social networks! post.

  58. I hope your life more wonderful’s a I??m very glad to see such magnificent information being shared freely out there. post.

  59. Let’s be honest under 5 can’t take us anywhere, he is too self centred the chap can’t take a bullet for the team, get another leader chaps!!

  60. #23 DON’T TELL LIES TO PEOPLE. THERE’S NO WAY MILIBAND WOULD UTTER SUCH IRRESPONSIBLE STATEMENT. IN FACT BRITISH PEOPLE ARE VERY PATRIOTIC. HIS EXPULSION CAN EVEN START WITHIN HIS LABOUR PARTY FOR BEING SO CARELESS BEFORE IT EVEN GO TO THE RULING PARTY. BRITISH PEOPLE ARE VERY PROTECTIVE OF THEIR SOVEREIGNTY- AND RIGHTLY, SO. I AGREE WITH #41 MILIBAND CAN NEVER BE THAT CARELESS.

  61. #46, YOU ARE A SERIOUS JOKER. WHICH WAR? IN FACT THE GOVT IS EVEN BEING LENIENT ON THIS. OTHERWISE, IF YOU DON’T SEE THE SERIOSNESS OF WHAT HH SAID YOU MUST BE….I DON’T WHETHER I CAN SAY DULL OR F00LISH. BUT THIS IS BEYOND BEING DULL OR FOOLISH. HH MUST TELL THE NATION BECAUSE WE ARE CONCERNED VERY MUCH ABOUT THE YOUTH PF GOVT ALLEGEDLY SENT TO SUDAN. IF ITS TRUE THE THE WHOLE NATION IS NOT SAFE.

    • If was you I’d question my own level of integrity before calling others dull or foolish. What do you think is more serious in international relations. What the president said to Goerge Bush in a press briefing at state house or what HH said after analysing a story artributed to Winter Kabimba as published in the Post Newspaper of Sunday the 6th May 2012 and written by Moses Kuwema.

  62. what a great blog and educative posts’s a I Purchase of high quality wedding, your content, I really like post.

  63. Guys, HH was wrong to make that statement. Understand that it is not different from the statement that was made by Nevers Mumba as Veep then, about Congo. What did Mwanawasa do? He rebuked him and asked to apologise. Mumba refused to apologise and he was FIRED! You don’t make statements like that about another country so carelessly. Kabimba may have said something about youth scholarships to Sudan, but was it about militia training?

  64. HH made a categorical statement that can alarm the international community. It was not in form of a question as to what kind of training the youths would receive in Sudan, no. It was a clear statement of “fact” that the PF had sent youths to train as militias in Sudan. So, it appeared the man had facts/proof. Why not step forward and divulge this info to security wings then? Secondly, why take your politics to a learning institution?

  65. You don’t walk into a school and start politicking against government unappointed, unprotected. Was he sure of the political opinions of that community? Is that HH’s version of a student invitee presentation? That if he can’t be invited by Oxford to present then he takes himself to Evelyn College? We don’t hold rallies in colleges ba HH yaba. What political science lesson did
you go to teach except disuading innocent students from stu

  66. @ Muna, You and Hakainde Chintombwa Economic Terrorist, go to police and prove your allegations. Hakainde is a thief who stole money from privatization wait a minute, I have a dossier of facts about Hakainde’s thefts but for now let him answer to his treasonable charges.
I’m told Hakainde Economic Terrorist is so much under pressure that he may commit suicide, please tell not to, you just say the truth and he will be free. But knowing him for telling lies, Hakainde tells lies from January to December 3/7 he is not worth any trust.

  67. With all the crap from PF, UPND will now look like angels!!!

Deporting priests who are simply speaking on behalf of their flock; A govt which looks lost with its minimal wage policy!! A DPP with a personal agenda!! And a head of state that “RUNS AWAY FROM HIS ELECTORATE WHEN CONFRONTED!!” KK’s words have come to roost – this president is good at rabble-rousing, BUT NOTHING IN HIM ABOUT RUNNING A COUNTRY!!! The only thing he seemed to have picked up from KK, is “Calling press conferences” to appoint & maybe fire a few!!

  68. Pf(police force) shud prove to the nation that what HH said is not true. Its not just HH to substantiate his claims. No smoke without fire! The Sudan issue is not a joke. I can even allege that others are being taken to Zimbabwe. Some of u are so loyal to pf than Zambia. Lets b realistic. Pf wil go but Zambia wil remain. Lets protect the nation from the government that is allergic to criticisms

  69. Zambian has all the characteristics of a failed State.
In a failed State, the police and the judiciary serve the interests of the President and the Party in power, and not the inteerest of the nation. That is what the situation is in Zambia. Very unfortunate!

  71. Its the first time in the history of zambia that a crime against the state can be substituted by mere retraction of words. There is an undisputed acrimony between mutembo and HH. The offer of an olive branch can only be accepted at owners risk. My take is the state cannot win this case in a court of law hence looking for a way of HH implicating himself.

  72. I think HH is the only one who can change Zambia at the moment, ba PF ubufi bwachilamo, too many promises and no result.

  73. Hahaha..where will HH win elections..Not in Zambia but yes in Southern province. Which province in Zambia can Vote for this only a Tonga can be President Party? UPND will continue getting the 16% of Southern province. Mark my worlds, I am in Zambia and I always asking people about the political situation…they say HH can not be voted for in any province besides Southern. Continue dreaming as you always do..may be in 2061 HH can make it .

  74. Police Officers,

Just how can you fire that gas in an enclosed area. Why did you allow so many hired thugs to enter the police station? Mr. President retire Jere!

Young officers must be used to arrest HH. No one is above the law! Just show him that he is like any body
