Former Patriotic Front Lusaka province Chairman Davies Chama has charged those who had an agenda with former Patriotic Front Secretary General Wynter Kabimba are still mourning and talking about his dismissal.

Mr Chama says the ruling party has moved on and has no time to talk about Mr Kabimba anymore.

Mr. Chama has told Qfm News in an interview says PF members are already done with celebrating the dismissal of Mr. Kabimba and everyone is now working towards unity in the party.

He adds that the ruling party is no longer divided.

Mr Chama says Patriotic Front members have the responsibility to defend the name of the party especially if negative comments by some media houses continue.

And Political activist Dante Saunders says he does not believe that the dismissal of Wynter Kabimba as Justice Minister means that the enactment of a new constitution is now in sight.

Mr. Saunders says this is because Mr. Kabimba was not the only obstacle to giving the people of Zambia a new constitution, but that it is a collective responsibility of the entire Cabinet to fulfill the promise of giving the Zambian people a new constitution.

Mr Saunders has told Qfm news that it is for this reason that he thinks the meeting which Justice Minister Edgar Lungu is expected to hold with the Grand Coalition this week is only another smokescreen of wanting to delay the constitution making process further.

He says the only way the PF government will make the people of Zambia believe that they will stick to their promise of delivering a new constitution is by allowing people to start debating the Mung’omba Constitution Review Commission recommendations.

Mr Saunder says this is especially that government has not up to now unveiled the final draft constitution to the public which the Technical Committee was working on.

Mr. Saunders has further suggested the need to give more powers to institutions such as the Police, Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC), Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) and the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) even before the new constitution is enacted.

He says these institutions and other public institutions such as the Office of Auditor General and the Judiciary are supposed to be constitutionalized in such way that the republican President is not the appointing authority of the presiding office bearers.

And Mr. Saunders has reminded President Michael Sata to be mindful that he is President for all Zambians and not only members of the ruling PF as he governs the country.

He says now that the President has shown to the nation that he is well and working by taking part in the ruling party’s campaigns for the forthcoming by-elections, what people expect from him is to deliver on the promises he made to the people of Zambia as well as bring an end to corruption in the country.

  1. at least mourning for the poor fellow is better than listening to a hypocrite like nevers mumba and the rest of the MMD corrupt squad

    • leave Wynter alone,,hes now an national asset, a farmer who is adding to the PF bumper havest,,,,

But am still waiting for him to thank his former boss for having given him a chance to be injustice minister

    • I dont under understand why UPND , I am talking about the whole authority there are now praising the man they claimed, even if he were the last lawyer they wouldn’t use him

My reliable sources tells me there are plans to now allow WK to take over from HH, because of lack of charisma and because of HH’s lack of experience.

These plans are now underway and I am told by the start of 2015 WK will be the President of UPND.

What my sources are also telling me is that PF fear that the WK led political assault could make things interesting and might swing it in their favor depending on the monies spent on the campaigns.

My reliable sources are also telling me that HH will them be the Vice president in the unlikely scenario of UPND, somewhat miraculously winning in 2016.

      Thanks

    • @Ndobo, can you imagine ayi, these people never accept loss of the beloved ones. Wynter is gone for now, just leave him alone.
But Sata should have just sent him as ambassador Sudan.

    • How many served as National Secretaries before Kabimba came on board. These are the people who made PF popular. Chimumbwe, Lifekelo, Chileshe, Mumbi. Kabimba came in when everything was in place. He was not there when the Manifesto was written.

  2. Question…….
If K is guilty shouldn’t all his collaborators go down with him? Why is he the only one on the Hit List? It is very impossible that he pulled all the strings alone…. C’mon People let’s be fair here, there must be someone if not more than 10 big shots that made him achieve his plot “plot”!
So then why are you injuring one unarmed man isn’t that called cowardice? Oh…… Piece of advice if you go for him on Ilunda Chalo make sure you also those connected to him not just singling one fellow in the name of injury!
    Answers please!

    • @Cindy, your question is as complicated as what happens in there.
There is joy and all those swimming around… in the country (woman) until one silly sperm hits her egg!! Mbaaaaangu. What happens, the country complains and goes after who ejaculated him for damages.
So Cindy, should Kabimba be accepted and country continue receiving more of those notorious ones or all should be aborted all together? My answer is keep the child.
I don’t think there were more than 10 “big shots”, Zambia can’t be a prostitute.

    • Very ineresting….Hope the findings from the investigations on Ilunga Chalo will be made public so that we see how Sata also benefited or how didn’t benefit. Kabimba was just one of the shareholders. We want to know who kept giving this corrupt Company tenders and how. Simply, we want to know the defination of PF not Kabimba.

  3. sealed his own fate, nailed the last one in his coffin, but lets be wise and leave him alone.. its not the end of the world for him.

  4. Post-WK PF is yet to prove itself that it has been exorcised of all the demons. Otherwise, this on-going Kabimba rhetoric will soon fall flat on its belly. 2016 is just around the corner and these wizards just can’t afford to continue playing this sort of game.

    • Kabimba appears to be PF’s scapegoat for delaying delivery of the new constitution. That obstacle is now clearly out of the way. Let’s wait and see if they are still going to move at the speed of a tortoise riddled with arthritis.

  5. The popular thinking in PF scares me a lot. This party is built around instilling fear through unleashing of vengeance upon anyone with opposing ideas. Clearly, this is not a party for anyone who can be regarded as an intellectual. It is all mob psychology whether right or wrong. What kind of real human development can come out of such? Development of the right mind/attitude in citizens is just as important (or even more) as erecting physical structures like roads.

  6. What’s the big deal?? Let them mourn…Why should anyone dictate to them how to utilise their emotions.. what do you lose that they are mourning?

Mind your own business…I for one I’m enjoying reading the lamentations…..lol.

  7. Mr. Kabimba and Mr. Mmembe should stop crying. Let them from a new party and poach Dora, Kachingwe, Kaingu, Mulongoti, Mpombo, Munkombwe …they can make it.

  8. Ba Saunders naimwe you have not seen that from day 1 the PF has been working unlike the MMD who were only working during election times

  9. Giving power is confusing. How do you give power to ZP or ACC or DEC or ECZ? These statutory bodies are professional arms of government. The professionals are expected to perform their duties professionally. In return, professionals receive remuneration, including salaries and allowances. These professionals must follow the professional ethics, and then leave the rest to government. Take for instance counting votes. The number of votes is a technical issue where returning officers exercise their professional judgment without fear or favor. Similarly, a police officer must charge motorists for any traffic offence, including over-speeding, causing death by dangerous driving, etc. I am inclined to recommend greater professionalization, including recruitment, training, internships, exchanges.
