Today’s Message: Water the Right Seeds

Share

bible

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”
(Mark 4:8, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

When somebody calls you something, either good or bad, that seed is planted in the soil of your mind. However, you get to determine whether or not that seed takes root and grows. When you dwell on what was said, you are watering the seed. You’re giving it a right to become a reality. That’s why it’s so important to have a disciplined thought life. It’s great when people tell you, “You’re blessed. You’re talented. You’re going to do great things.” Water those seeds. Meditate on those thoughts throughout the day. That’s what you want to become a reality.

Too often, we water the wrong seeds. We dwell on what the negative people say. The naysayers can’t make a seed take root in your life. All they can do is sow the seed. You have complete control over what seeds are going to take root and grow in your own soil.

Today, you might need to uproot some wrong seeds spoken over you. Let go of the negative and choose to dwell on the good. Dwell on what God says about you. Dwell on His word. Water the right seeds and receive the fruit of His blessing!

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, today I choose to focus on the good in my life. I choose to water the right seeds planted in the soil of my mind. I ask for Your grace and wisdom daily as I set my heart and mind on You in Jesus’ name! Amen.

  1. No, You Don’t Need jesus to be a Good Person …. Why Don’t Many Africans Get This? Most of the developed world agrees that you don’t need religion to be moral.

    • You are absolutely spot on…The so called “developed world” do not believe in it because they are wise to know that its the biggest fraud in human history and they do not want to part and parcel of this grotesque lie ….go to these churches in England and most of the congregation are elderly. Its only in African were we passively troop in drones to “church” and worship white Jesus blindly.

    • As for us Africans we go to this building called “church” every Sunday and we do not even know its true definition, well time to wake up (according to aggressivechristianity dot net)

Let us make it clear from the very beginning that the established religious system, which manifests itself in the abomination called “church”, is NOT of God.
      THE CORRECT MEANING OF “CHURCH”

(The following information is from ACMTC Library and BenWilliamsLibrary.com)
Let’s start by defining the word. “Church” comes from the Old English and German word pronounced “kirche.” In Scotland, it was “kirk.”

The following entries are from the Oxford Universal English Dictionary:

Church [Old English cirice, circe; Middle English chereche, chiriche, chirche; whence churche, cherche, etc.:…

    • etc.: -Greek Kuriakon…]
Kirk The Northern English and Scottish form of CHURCH, in all its senses.
In the earlier Greek It was pronounced “ku-ri-a-kos” or “ku-ri-a-kon.” As you can see, this word doesn’t even resemble the Greek word “ecclesia” whose place it has usurped. The meaning of “Ku-ri-a-kos” is understood by its root: “Ku- ri-os,” which means “lord.” Thus, “kuriakos” (i.e., “church”) means “pertaining to the lord.” It refers to something that pertains to, or belongs to, a lord. The Greek “kuriakos” eventually came to be used in Old English form as “cirice” (Kee-ree-ke), then “churche” (kerke), and eventually “church” in its traditional pronunciation. A church, then, is correctly something that “pertains to, or belongs to, a lord.”

    • Now, as you can see, there is a major problem here. The translators broke the rules in a big way. When they inserted the word “church” in the English versions, they were not translating the Greek word “kuriakos”, as one might expect. Rather, they were substituting an entirely different Greek word. This was not honest! The word “church” would have been an acceptable translation for the Greek word “kuriakos.” However, not by the wildest imagination of the most liberal translator can it ever be an acceptable translation for the Greek word “ecclesia.” Are you following this? Consider it carefully. This truth will answer many questions you’ve had about churches, and the kingdom.

    • “Ecclesia” is an entirely different word with an entirely different meaning than “kuriakos.” In fact, the Greek word “kuriakos” appears in the New Testament only twice. It is found once in I Corinthians 11:20 where it refers to “the Lord’s supper,” and once again in Revelation 1:10 where it refers to “the Lord’s day.” In both of those cases, it is translated “the Lord’s…” – not “church.” This word does not appear again in the New Testament. Nonetheless, this is the unlikely and strange history of the word “church” as it came to the English language. Eventually, through the manipulation of organized religion “church” came to replace “ecclesia” by popular acceptance.

    • Again, we must emphasize the importance of knowing word meanings in order to know the intent of those who wrote the Scriptures.

  2. Very good message. Ultimately you become what you think about. That is why when you know what you want in life, and want it bad enough, you will find a way to get it. We are an amazing creation of God. Amen

  3. @No God No Master don’t cheat yourself about the Western world’s belief in God or else you will be left stranded in life and the devil will win you over. The cross in the scandinavians flags is the cross… and I guess the same applies to Gt. Britain. So If you don’t believe in Him and having serious problems ask God to reveal himself to you…He will. May God have mercy on your soul.

The current generation may appear to have a “laisser faire” approach to religion but doesn’t mean they don’t know believe in the Almighty God. All humans have a mind and a body; and in addition we also have a soul or spirit, because God has implanted within our souls a longing for Himself. The psalmist put it this way: “My soul thirsts for God, for the living God” (Psalm 42:2)

    • @Pretty
Do you even know where christian religion originated from? Yes the current generation is asking more questions about religion as they are fortunate enough to have an abundances of information unlike our grandparents and parents who only had the book of lies called the Bible. This King James Bible you blindly carry under your armpits is the most sexists and most unafrican book ever…most of your do not even know how evil this man King James was.
Remember that Christianity is a mere 2000 years where as Afrikan spirituality has been existence for millions of years. Civilization didn’t start when Christianity began, Afrikans had aready made advanced strides in medicine, commerce, architecture, astronomy etc.
Wake up from your docility and read more about self…WAKE UP!!

  4. This is merely common sense you do not need guidance from the plagiarized European book called the Bible to state the obvious to you. Joel and Victoria are laughing all the way to the bank at the docility of most black people whose ancestors were forced into these religions and they happen to the largest consumers of their overpriced useless merchandise.

  5. jay jay u r just one the prophetic fulfillment and harbingers of the last days,a scoffer for that matter,God loves you and wants to serve you but He wont serve you in that state of your conviction, the word of God is not scientific to believe in Him,its by faith.Look at the cross and think brother! Surely test all the spirits for some are from the devil.

    • Look at the cross you so blindly state? do you even know the origin of that cross and where it was derived from?
That cross you blindly see in front of “churches” is one symbol of the largest association of genocide in history, where people who thought differently were repressed by threats and psychological abuse. For many years millions of people including Jews, your African ancestors, homosexuals, the sick etc etc were massacred.
Wake up and study more about self!!!

  6. “For the word of the Cross is folly [foolishness] to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. For it is written:

‘I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and the discernment of the discerning I will thwart.’

  7. The problem with Africans is they believe in a religion because an invader they couldn’t conquer brought it. When conquered by an Arab the African became Moslem. Conquered by a European he became a Christian. The african is there to be converted to whatever comes to him. Cant you follow your own religion?

  8. Very good message. Ultimately you become what you think about. Choose to water the right seeds planted in the soil of your mind. Well done ba LT. Amen

  9. Jay Jay, its about freedom of conscious. If you have chosen to African Traditional Religion you are free to do so. Let those who have chosen to follow Jesus do so without you ridicueing them. Africans should not abandon Christianity just because the West has done so. You need to get your facts correct before you write. Christianity is thriving in the Americas, Asia and Africa. Moreover, Christianity is not about the West, its about Jesus. The West can abandon Jesus (just like most Jewish people) but it does not affect the rest of humanity. Your interpretation of biblical words is faulty and leaves much to be desired. I pray that God opens your eyes that you may see.

  10. Forgive them Lord for they know not what they do.As for me and my family i will follow you Lord Jesus because you’re the Holy One of God.
