  1. From the top (State house), to ministers to members of parliament, we need to buy them large electronic watches that each one of them should put in their bedrooms. These watches will have countdown digital lightings that will show how many months, weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds are remaining before South Africa hosts the FIFA World Cup. This, I believe is the only way to help some people who never take planning, implementation and deadlines seriously. I wish we had the capacity of the Greeks who finished construction of their stadia on time before the Olympics that they last hosted in record time despite being behind on time. Everyone in government yapped loudly about how Zambia was going to benefit with South Africa playing host to these important games and spoke of building of four modern stadia. It is shameful that 43 years after independence we still cannot have a modern stadium despite our status in Africa as a great football nation! If we are not ready to invest in infrastructure we should as well forget about making this nation proud by winning any of the coveted trophies. “Garbage in, garbage out.” Let us be serious as a nation and make our hard-working players proud.

  2. We Zanbian’s have aproblem of remembering things.

  4. Lets not just concentrate on who scored or not but also on how they played. well done guys for monitoring the way our boys are doing abroad

  5. I think we Zambans have to admitt to the fact that we are no longer GIANTS OF FOOTBALL so even the players we produce nowdays are of average. I have watched Katongo here in Denamrk, he came with a bang but has faded away like just like that. The bad news for him is that Brøndby or BIF as we refer to them have bought back striker Peter Madsen from FC Koln in Germany, this boy was wonders in Danish Football, and I can see him as a partner to Morten Duncan Rasmmusen, Katongo,s partner for next season. Morten has just been called up to the Danish N. team that plays Sweden while Madsen is a former International and BIF boy. Zambian palyers are just not good enough save for the U/20&23 that is where I have hope. The current team is rubbish no more no less. Anyway Milan wili be locking horns with Liverpool, remember the 2005 Finals. I love Zed though I call a spade a spade and not the other way round.
    Cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeers to all Zambians

  6. A big dent on the CV of our Zambian footballers. A good number of the teams in this report are headed for relegation!

  7. Sichone is a finished thing. He has contributed to his club’s relegation. As a defender and a vice captain for that matter ,you cant allow more than 50 goals. That is the reason why the club has refused to offer him another contract, because they know the defence led by him was soooooooo porous. To my sapprise the time his club has dumped him, thats when Zambia is trying to adopt him. wake up Zambia! the guy is finished lets just concentrate on the current squad. Many of the games i have watched,he has turned out to be the culprit. Forget Moses once and for All!!!!!

  8. Should walk everyday in the sport ministry and ask how far is the building of a modern stadium in Zambia. Our neighbors including Zimbabwe will have a chance of gaining from the world cup 2010 because they are serious in doing things. When I proposed the building of a new stadium 15 ago no action was taken into account again before the world cup in 2006 I repeatedly calling for a utra-stadia with no avail. Can the governement explain how are they going to benefit from those investment if wont be finished earlier.

  9. I totally agree with Kafusha, the Zambian team is going no where. Mark my words: “Zambia will not qualify to AFCON 2008 because we do not have the material to do so.

Zambian politicians want results from soccer but they are not investing in the sport.

Do not just talk the talk but you should walk the talk.

  10. To have all those mines on the Copperbelt that rake in millions of dollars a month and have a country that calls itself “poor” and cannot have even three stadia of international standards is robbery. Please wake up and be serious. Promises, promises but no results whatsoever is really a great dissappointment!

  11. Garbage In Garbage Out indeed, Our Stadia are sub standard and the media don’t give enough coverage. No wonder y Zeds have resorted to supporting ENGLISH or rather EUROPEAN Clubs though we’ve never watched a Zambian playing in the CHAMPS L/UEFA CUP it’s so SHAMEFUL.
