  1. Guys, these are only under-23’s and it’s possible Swaziland featured their full team since most of their players are locally based. A good start for our under-23 boys who should form the cre for our national team in the future. Keep it up boys and learn your ropes well.

  2. Not a good result at all. Why struggle to beat amatures like swaziland? And you call yourselves a great footballing nation? Faz nomba elyo yaonaika fye. This new executive, my foot!!!!!!

  3. Zambians are the most critical and pessmistic persons I have knowm my whole life. This is a fair result. Football has three results.WIN,LOSE & DRAW.

  4. #3 This competition is for players in respective leagues. The teams are not allowed to feature their so called exports or professionals!

  5. Guys what did you want a 6-0 bashing of Swaziland? Come on those days are gone, football World Wide has evolved. Swaziland featured their main team and we had the U23’s.A full Nigerian side went to Lesotho during the last Africa Cup qualifiers & came out with a 1-0 win.Swaziland are much stronger team.
Some people just comment with out data.

  6. This is a good result playing away from home.Football has no minows.have u forgoten that crotia knocked EnglandOUT OF EURO at their own backyard. i mean at wembley. So be realistic considering the team is made of Under 20 an 23s.I feel it will be good if the team participatin in this tornament will consist of players not more than 23 so that it could be a naturing venture for the senior team.we need to have atleats 3 teams A,B,C

  7. This is not good We should have beaten Swaziland. Its not even a better team for a country like Zambia. come on guys be real. Our under 23 are not young. 23 is someone old. what do you mean when you say they are young??? we don’t want to be like south Africa building a team which has got players as old as 30 and saying its a young team??? poor starting of the tournament chipolopolo boys next time work hard and don’t underrate countries….

  8. good results for the young team, u20 graduates, the result is not that bad. considering that this is the future team. correct me if im wrong, you will see what will happen in lusaka at nkoloma studium in the return match.when you draw away its a very good result. football has now changed even arsenal is beating ac milan at san ciro, imagine. chipolopolo die hard suppoter for life.

  9. Zambia was lucky to come out with a draw. I warned you that, taking the under 23 was foolish and lack of ambition by the Zambians to reach peak level.
We are lucky we did not get embarrassed with a bashing.

  10. Mwilayumfwisha bwino bane. This is not as good a result as you think. A team which beat Mali 4-1 a week earlier should not struggle to beat Swaziland. What is Swaziland bane?

  11. Bad results for Zambia as a national team, remember the championship is for the main national teams and not the under 23. The world will be saying, “Zambia national team drew with Swaziland” and not Zambia under 23. Therefore, in the next game let us use our main local national team than giving excuses that we used the under 23. As for the under 23 job well done boys but improve, Swaziland is a team to beat though you are under 23.

  12. Nyati-RSA, can you tell us the main team in Zambia outside the U23? It is the same boys and I support FAZ, what is the point of fielding old players with 2010 around the corner?

  13. I agree with #20 Shidada give us names of players to use locally apart from maybe Kalaba who is injured. If you want another team to play give us a starting Eleven with completely new names rather than the boys who played over the weekend.
Lets be objective in our debates guys.People like Kilambe,Francis Kombe,I.Bakala have served the nation in the past their time is gone it’s time for a new breed of players to take over.
May be the can one or two made to the team otherwise this is core of the U-20’s who played in Canada apart from F.Tembo,S.Sunzu ,R.Kolala,& C.Mulenga (who is not eligible to play).

  14. #16-18, would you please your ID? I fear for your blaspheme. “It is a dreadful thing to fall into the hands of of a living God.” Heb 10:31

  15. #22 you are right which other players do we want to make a strong team these guys are the national team boys if they lose its a national team. For me we lost to Swaziland…….

  16. Lusakatimes, can you please remove and block #16-18. You did promise to block any vulgar language, but this is slowly crpping back in. A lot of good contributors have stopped because of this.

  17. Very good arguments #20 and 22. I cannot give you the names of other national team players apart from those fielded but you have not followed my line of thought, if those are the national team players we have in Zambia at the moment, then let us call them the Zambia National soccer team and not under 23. Once we call them under 23 then we are saying that we have other players but we choose to field the under 23. Otherwise i also support the development of young talent.

    Good guys!

  18. The result was not very bad though I strongly believe we could have done better. Fellow Zedians, we are no longer a force we used to be. Let’s face reality!

  19. Country men, women and fellow supporters, Swaziland has always been a hard nut for Zambia to crack. I was fortunate or unfortunate enough to have resided in Swazi for many year. In that time I watched the then real chipolopolo that perished in Gabon, MTSRIP, go down 2-1 with Jani Simulambo as coach of Swazi and Zoom at the helm in Zedi although we beat them 5-0 in Lusaka. In COSAFA we lost to them on pernalties with Lota the only one on target. Just tell me when we last won in Swaziland! We shall beat them in Lusaka as long as we do not underrate them and prepare fully.

  20. #16-18 my dear i pray for you to be saved and repent. Why do you use that name its blasphemy and you the Bible says “whosoever blasphemes the name of God will never be forgiven.”I think LUSAKA TIMES should come in this guy is insulting our religion,LT should protect other people’s religion most sites do that and LT should protect us from this.We are tired from all this please LT spare us from this trauma.

  21. #16-18.If you think it’s cool to use that ID then you need help.Go and read 1 JOHN 1:8-10 and MATTHEW 12:31-32.Be careful especially when dealing with God or you will live to regret the rest of your Life. All the best

  22. Missing link in zambian football; PSYCHOLOGISTS to both deal with inferiority and superiority complex!!!

  23. Some of you chaps spend too much time blogging it makes me wonder whether you have anything to do in your lives
