I Dont Need to Ask for Forgiveness-Sinyangwe

Share

National Constitution Conference (NCC) 2nd Vice-Chairperson and Matero Member of Parliament Faustina Sinyangwe says Patriotic Front Members of Parliament (PF MPs) who are participating in the NCC have not committed any crime to seek for forgiveness from Party President Micheal Sata.

Speaking when she featured on the community radio station, Zambezi FM Radio station in Livingstone today, Mrs Sinyangwe said the MPs have not gotten themselves in conflict with anybody to seek for forgiveness.

Mrs Sinayangwe said the MPS have not formed a political party but have decided to take part in the constitution making process because they felt it was an important process that could not be boycotted.

She said though she was part of the NCC, she still had support from the people of Matero.

And Mrs Sinyangwe admitted that the constitution making process was not a cheap exercise.

”The constitution making process is not a cheap one. Even President Levy Mwanawasa said it but he bowed down because the opposition demanded for it,” she said.

Recently, Patriotic Front President Micheal Sata said he was ready to forgive MPs currently taking part in the NCC if they went back to him to ask for forgiveness.

  1. Madam you are in conflict with your politic party and your presdo so just seek for forgiveness you lose nothing.

  2. Time will tell for Sinanyangwe, power corrupt pipo and make them blind. She is outspoken and lacks the ability to learn from mistakes and build a strong party.NCC cash is the motivating factor and I hope they are not just waisting our hard earn cash.
Secondly why is the Chairperson so unhappy are about disclosing how much they are being paid?

  3. This is very interesting, its clear that the MPs went against the standing of the party because the party resolved not to take part in the NCC through collective agreement. So Faustina Sinyangwe and others went against the party standing. Now bana sinyangwa you need to ask for forgiveness, PF cannot forgive somenone who is not sorry. Infact it is even biblical, unless someone repents and enestly seeks forgiveness it cannot be granted. you need to show that you are sorry. Learn to build unit bana Sinyangwe or else you will regret

  4. Ms. Sinyangwe it wont hurt a bit for you to say sorry. You even know the King Cobra and for him to say he is ready to forgive that should mean something to you dont become big headed, we all know you went there for the money just like everyone else….i would do the same anyway.

  5. #3 When you say that the MP’s went against the standiong of the party, who is the party?, is it not the MP’s who make a party. The MP’s just went against Sata’s position. Since its a democracy please do not demonise Sinyangwe.

  6. Theo,
where have you been? Anywahy I have also been quite absent from the forum.

Back to Sinyangwe and the other MP’s – They have not been appointed to NCC in individual capacites but as PF MPs. SO if PF policies prevent them from taking part they should have abided. So they have been swayed by the NCC money. Maybe its a good thing PF didnt form govt., because now we see who and how greedy they are. Its a pity, but come 2011 all this will backlash. Not even the money she is getting from NCC wil help her regain her seat, GBM put in more than 2 billion and still lost to Guy Scott in 2006

  7. #6 the members make a party and not the MPs only. When an issue is resolved unonimously, it does not matter your position you have to go with the majority. Sata does not make a party he is just party of the members. Where as I dont I gree with the boycoting of participating in the constitution review process I am compelled to strongly agree with #5 Lady L says and others that the motivating factor was the money nothing more. Our politicians never have the interests of the nation at heart or indeed of the people they represent we are merely conduits to helkp them achieve their political goals.

  8. # 6 i dont agree with you. a few days before these MPs joined the NCC, the central committee of the Party met and they resolved not to take part. This was based on a simple majority voting. Some of the MPs who joined the NCC where even part of the Central committee. Now you need to know that the Central committee is the management committee of the PF party. It was not about Sata it was about the Party’s resolution. So in essence they went againts the party’s resolution. Therefore they need to ask for forgiveness otherwise they are not suitable to be members of the party.

  9. This woman is very arrogant. We shall wait and see.
Which people in Matero are in support of her move.
Let us run the by-election here in Matero, she will
    realize how unpopular she is.
There are alot of problems here in Matero which need
her attention. But she is just in NCC for her own
    handbag and nothing else!!!!!!!!!
Abena Mwanga bana mayo balipama pakanwa, mweee!!
    one typical example, Edith Nawakwi…………

  10. These are the leaders that have let Zambia down. Every organization has rules for everyone to follow. Just that!!
    Faustina, zwaaaaa!!!!!

  11. #11 Kayombo, i am not Namwanga, but i do not agree with your comment about Namwanga women. Learn to be sensitive and not to generalise anyhow. What makes you jadge all Namwanga women based on Sinyangwe and Nwakwi?

  12. Comrades you see, unempty stomach usually is not a very good political advicer. Lets remove the issues of NCC allowance and see how many Great Zambians will be attending with a patriotic stance.

As for now I wouldn’t say she is bad or good.

  13. PF attendance to NCC was not unonimously disapproved.Sata agreed @ ZCID with NCC now wat the hell z he making noise for?

  14. The one who is a problem is Sata himself, because he was trying to build a ka small empire in PF look at Lusaka City –
    Mandevu Const. – Wakumwesu (Kapata)
    Matero Const. – Wakumwesu (Sinyangwe)
    Munali Const. – Wakumwesu (Mumbi)
    Kanyama Const. – Wakumwesu (Chanda)
    Chawama Const. – Wakumwesu (Sampa)
    Kabwata Const. – Kwahaye. (Lubinda)
Lusaka Central – The Doctor. (Scott)

God the Almighty always sees the motives, People can plan but He directs the path.

  15. Ba Mayo ba Faustina you are so much of loud mouth. Concentrate on service delivery to the people of Matero whose dignity has been lowered by years of poor service provison by their elected representatives. And don’t perecive support of the matero people ba mayo imwe rather conceive it by work hard. Uku bwata bwata won’t dignfy your people. You and Sata are the same the only difference is that Sata has a history of good service delivery in his political career. What have you achieved so far Ba Faustina besides loud empty on newspaper headlines? The people of Matero want action.

  16. Matters of the contitution may seemly be unimportant now but can be such a crucial issue when crisis hits. Look at Zim. Their consititution vests so much power in the president that he’s legally gotten away with so much nonsense it hurts. Lets get a good contitution done for our lovely Zed regardless of money motives of the participants. Like it or not we will still be guided by the same doc in our time of crisis coz it will be the legal doc governing the nation.

  17. Calling political leaders tribalist is detrimental to the development of Zed as a whole. Why these pliticians choose to align themselves with so called ‘tribesmen’ is their belief to be understood in simple language and hope of good delivery if the individuals realised that they were tasked to serve without stressing on the tribal lines. However, we find inviduals playing dirt politics and thus contaminates anyone with common roots wishing to share plates with them being labled. Its a question of how many rotten groundnuts you need in the mouth to spoil the taste, not which one?

  18. Madam Sinyangwe is not a namwanga, she is Bemba and married to Mr.sinyangwe let me correct the previous writter (kayombo of mayombo)

  19. I thought the white hair in madam Sinyangwe’s signified wisdom in the woman. Its quite to the contrary. A window of opportunity has been opened and she decides to trash it like that.
Anyway good like banakulu. we shall meet sooner or later at the balot box/

  20. #16 Of the people you have listed, only Lubinda has kraut to challenge the MMD, the others!!!! oh well, they could learn a few things from him and by the way, I am also “wakumwabo” but I am solidly being LPM!!!

  21. #16. That is a very interesting list showing the composition of the PF party.
Anyhow, I would like to congratulate Mrs F. Sinyangwa on her stance on dictatorial tendencies that border on selfishness. continue standing on your principles Mrs Sinyangwa, your future is in God’s hands and not some human being. Whatever happened in the past few days, someone was busy saying saying he will not reconcile with the 26 PF MPs participating in the NCC and now he wants to forgive them. What changed, in a space of about 3 weeks?

  22. “Unless therefore I am convinced by the testimony of Scripture, or by the clearest reasoning, – my conscience is and will remain bound by the Word of God, I cannot and I will not retract, for it is unsafe for a Christian to speak against his conscience. Here I stand, I can do no other; may God help me? Amen!” by Martin Luther.

  23. Can our engineers and technologists please prepare themselves for some new skill that these guys are bringing. We should welcome them so that we can learn and copy their technology. In so doing we may end up having our own mobile phone manufacturing company which is owned and managed by Zambians. That is how economies grow not by bad prophesies and complaints about labour laws. Can we please be serious.

  24. Can Mrs Sinyangwe tell the nation what really was the resolution in that Central Committee meeting? Please Madam we are waiting to hear from you. If she cant then she can just shut up and eat the NCC money, maybe the pension money she got form the ministry of Education is finished.

  25. mr sata dreams that he is the sun and all the supposedly erring guys are the stars and they will kneel before him like he did with LPM.mama faustina muleba noluse!

  26. Sinyangwe is a LIAR so even her apology wouldnt carry any weight. She lied to us that she is local when in the actaul sense lives in AVONDALE. SHAME! You can keep your apology and soon we will chuck you out.

  27. So you Bembas, that is how you manage your political party(PF)?
Faustina Sinyangwe is 100 % right, politics of dictatorship are long gone.In Bembaland you appologize to Sata not to the party(PF)eh ,is it becoz he owns the party? Or is it becoz you naturally just luck genuine leaders.

  28. It is time people like Faustina spring up to refuse sleeping with sata to get a position.Susan (former Mayor)refused and it earned her an expulsion,I only hope dictators like Sata will not have it easy to bring UNIP mentallity in this new democracy…

  29. #11 and #13 sinyangwe is MAMBWE and not NAMWANGA. And because she is Mrs Sinyangwe my guess is that the husband is the one who is mambwe and she can be any tribe or do you know for sure she is Namwanga? But thats not the issue at hand here and should not divert our attention from the real issue of the constitution.

  30. 33# just to correct you, Faustina can not sleep with SATA She is a NIECE to HIM. She is just married to Mr sinyangwee

  31. Its embarrasing to see ow some small minded people qickly bring it tribal sentiments in almost any debate on LT.Have we gone to the dogs? Why cant we just debate without looking at the tribe of people we debate about. Are some tribes allowed to say certain things or to take certain stands while others are not?I kindly ask every one to desist bringing in tribal talks in these debates please.Lets focus on the topics for debate.

  32. Chills you are right on. Small minds see everything in terms of a tribal/ethnic/racial paradigm. Great minds discuss ideas. A little bird tells me that the PF Central Committee met at the Blue Nile Lodge along Alick Nkhata Avenue near the UN Offices and unanimously resolved to boycott the NCC. In attendance were members of the PF Central Committee, including the PF rebel MPs spokesperson, Peter David Machungwa. Interestingly, after this meeting Machungwa became one of the most outspoken leaders of the rebel MPs.

  33. #6:

It’s not about demonizing bana Sinyangwe! Look at the way she’s coming out and try to read between the lines. Why is she the only one coming out so outspoken about the whole issue? Whose face and reputation, or even ticket was she riding on when she managed to get to where she is? Someone that can dare her own president can certainly dare the voters … let’s face it. She’s just using “common say” as the canoe towards justifying her mistake: going against what teamwork said NO to an insubordination. Enough is enough …who else do you want to know that you were against it? Go and make up with your party president. You’re portraying unforgiveness with your outspoken stubbornness?

  34. We buried Faustina here in Matero immediately she announced her intentions to participate in the so called NCC. We in Matero for the past 12 months we do not have running water on our taps. All the taps are dry.No proper sanitation and road-network in her constituency. The are issues that she must be talking about now!! We in Matero, if only we had proper leadership at MP level, we could sacrifice and make donations to supplement govt efforts to improve these issues in this constituency. Now, the problem is that, we only hear and see her on newspapers talking. Please, we have been waiting for this arrogant lady here in Matero. This time around we drag and throw her in blocked sewarage.

  35. There are some many problems in Matero that need her attention rather waste time on the so called NCC which is just a talk shop and money waster.
Leaders in Zambia must know that they are the servant of the people that voted for them and not the opposite. Now, she is an MP, and she has forgetten about the people’s warfare in her constituency.
Please, please Faustina, we in Matero thought that you could do better. But alas! You are failed us greatly.Work for us…..!!

  36. #16 Had these been UPND members, you would have labelled them as being members of a tribal party! Now we all know which party is really a tribal party.

  37. UPND is a tribal party!!! HH no chance in the forthcoming presidential by-elections. This time around Zambia is voting for Saki as our next presido. Plus HH is also a plunderer so much that he cannot even explain the source of his wealth.
