  7. noba tonga ma , lets not respond to some insane tribalist on this blog, we are workaholics the haters know it, i know it hurts to be looked down at but come on nobana chuundu lets not be petty andiswe.

  8. Tonga, rise to the occasion by not submitting to petty appetites of turning the only site site Zeds have into a feuding parlour. B4 us are issues that we can need to engage in and intelligently disect for the betterment of ourselves. How do you fall prey to such base schemes Tongas? Its not like you at all!! Come basankwa!

  9. GUYS OFF TOPIC LOOK AT THE OBAMA SPEECH IN BERLIN AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS RIGHT AFTER HE SAYS THAT HIS FATHER GREW UP HEADING GOATS IN KENYA.

  10. Thats why we great tribe and always like to share political and ministerial positions with other tribe.

  11. After nearly 48 years of governing ourselves we’re getting excited about $30m tax from the mines? What the hell happened before then- did they not pay tax at all? Fancy that!

How marvelous if it could be used for the advancement of Zambia as a whole! But I’m sure it will all be shared among the fat politicians and the pastors and bishops of religious groups. Rascals!

  12. All this money will be used to settle the Paris Medical Bills and the big entourage costs. Moreover, the Challenger Jet could be parked in Paris and the two pilots are in a five star hotel enjoying and shopping at government costs while waiting for the the time to fly back to Zambia-maybe three months from now? The point is Zambia is one of the richest countries in terms of resources but poorly managed by politicians…

  13. Which local people did SHAKA refer to?????PLEASE STOP DECEIVING PEOPLE THAT TIME HAS COME TO BENEFIT FROM THEIR VAST MINERAL WEALTH.Ba LPM is still in hospital and all we are going to is $20m on medical bills,$5m hotel bills for the first family and $5m on telephone bills to update the ZAMBIANS on stable conditions of LPM.What is there to benefit for the lowly ZAMBIANS?

  14. If these investors cant give a decent increment to its employees and you talk about windfall taxes.Unions acts like they dont exist anymore, they cant perform or be heard.$30million in goverments big pocket with endless bottom.Shaka think before you utter such comments, everyone is seeing your actions.

  15. $30 million…??? Thats cheap change. Thats what Kansashi mine makes that kind of money in a week. We need to change the tax laws in order to draw mone money. How can we allow the so called investors to rob us in broad daylight..

  16. At some point I was thinking instead of Lozis and Luvale’s being our traditional cousins, maybe its high time we also adopted the bemba’s as our traditional cousins, what is this bemba/tonga preceived feud here? ha ha ha this blog is becoming very uncomfortable for some of us especially if the people that talk on tribal lines really mean what they say.

  17. I agree with you Mwiinga #29. Dogs have come to this blog. I have been blogging on this site for a long time I now feel embarassed to even use my real names. How did we get to this point? LT should do something or risk this site becoming a source of the worst tribalism ever experienced in Zambia.

My thought was that people who are able to use internet are the enlightened ones. How wrong I was.

  18. LT if you have no capacity to censor some of the coments here, please u better close this blog because we can not have *****s like anonymous discussing tribalism on this blog. iam finding this blog to be full of insults please do something.

It is an astonishing kind of hereditary stupidity that sees Katangese stinkers on both sides of the Luapula river welded to the habit of electing proven thieves into office all the time. Look at Chiluba, Katumbi etc and now Katele Kalumba will be voted for in large numbers by these tailed low life premates of the Ituri forest we have the tragedy of being called neighbours and fellow countrymen to.MANY THANKS SANAKUWA…

  20. Lets not Bury our heads in the sand. The fact still remains that tribal hatred exists in zambia and sadly the tongas seem to be at the recieving end of it. Let people pour out their emotions. Avoiding the subject wont help. If you want to deal with a situation dont ignore it but deal with it. Let us bring back one zambia one people slogan and make tribal talk or marginalisation of any tribe a criminal act. lets not make some piecemeal solutions here. We need real action against any tribal hatred. We can not sit idle and watch people insult others. Its unacceptable. Tongas have the right to defend themselves against this marginalisation. Why are we called tribal when we partcipate in governance of this country. Is this supposed to be an exclusive function of one tribe in zambia. No.

  21. looks like some guys are infected with tribalism. in this modern era, who still puts much emphasis on tribalism issues?? shame on u, grow up and promote unity. peace to all who support unity

  22. Folks, this tribalism thing will never get you anywhere. I know of many tonga bemba/couples and when you guys talk about tribalism it is alot of bull…By the way Katele, FTJ are not bembas but are from luapula. Just like we cant say lenjes are tongas because their languages are similar.

  23. theft is allover the world and yet we zambians are here insulting each other. why? aba tonga are thieves, aba bemba are thieves, surely that will not solve our problems or unite us in any way. na hichilema ali wisha mine aliko boss and now he has 23 billion….i wonder where from. naka chiluba kaliba kala kana nokulanda how much he has. but all this is pointless, now it is way forward. like what is being done with the millions of dollars the mines will and are paying? is it in safe credible zambian hands whether tonga nyanja bemba lozi etc.. will and are the people really benefitting, or is it also being plundered

  24. I feel the money should be used for bulding more schools and a descent hospital in solwezi. Solwezi should be developed into a proper Mining Town, better roadnetwork should also be constructed.

  25. That money is going to end paying for new Mercedes Benz cars for ministers, increased allowances for MP and increased spending for foreign embassies! That $30M won’t reach the people who need it most. Build new schools and hospitals, fix up UTH! GRZ needs to be transparent when it comes to spending this $30M!!! We want to know where it goes!!

  26. GUYS ITS NOT ALL THE NORTHERNS THAT STEAL,THE BEMBAS STEAL BECAUSE YOU TONGA ARE ALWAYS SLEEPING, YOU EVEN CALL YOURSELVES NGOMBE’ILEDE. CONTINUE SLEEPING WHILE US YOU CALL THEIVES ARE PROSPERING.

  27. But wat has this $30m done for the zambians such that everyone is excited after reading news from a politician. how many times have had zedians heard about this rubbish polical news. who is 2 benefit, cause so far zambians are paying heavy tax. marubbish

  28. Kansashi is in Solwezi and in a day thousands of trucks ferry copper out of town in ques. but i keep on wondering if part of that money is used to develop solwezi or just to fatten some peoples berries. Solwezi is lacking behind. In some areas 20kms away I had to climb hill tops for me to access network. And to get a job there one has to corrupt the connectors. Can we have the ACC/TIZ to due their job.
