Such beliefs have led to World Bank to start recruiting sociologist and anthrolopologists as opposed to recruiting economics only, because they have realised that one of the problem facing developing countries today has more to do with social aspects and resistance to change.God us ,how do arrest such stories..
LAGOS (Reuters)
A mystical goat has been arrested in Nigeria on suspicion that the animal is a man who was caught in an attempted armed robbery.
Vigilantes took the black and white beast to the police saying it was an armed robber who had used black magic to transform himself into a goat to escape arrest after trying to steal a Mazda 323.

“The group of vigilante men came to report that while they were on patrol they saw some hoodlums attempting to rob a car. They pursued them. However one of them escaped while the other turned into a goat,” Kwara state police spokesman Tunde Mohammed told Reuters by telephone.
“We cannot confirm the story, but the goat is in our custody. We cannot base our information on something mystical. It is something that has to be proved scientifically, that a human being turned into a goat,” he said.
Belief in witchcraft is widespread in parts of Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation. Residents came to the police station to see the goat, photographed in one national newspaper on its kn

#6 don’t allow yourself to be so ignorant.Even natures fury can be prevented. Its the responsibility of the government of the day to protect people form certain known acts of nature.Lightning is one act of nature that is preventable, that’s why you will never hear that at State House or Government House people have been killed by lightning, It will never happen. So even in the villages, human habitation locations that are situated in the lighting prone areas like the Luapula Valley should have state of the art gadgets that prevents lighting from killing innocent people especially those that are sleeping peacefully.
Very Bad. feel sorry for the fam.
Owe mayo we bulanda pachalo. Nabatushe muchibote chakwa Lesa.

How are you today?
Akalumba! Dig deeper and you will find that there is a major story behind – bordering on a feud of some kind. Ever heard of Mununga – well it is in Nchelenge and famous for the cheap wichcraft for vengence. Most bloggers will dismiss this as they believe they are above it and educated to believe in such primitive acts, but alas these things do exist.
abena luapula tabangasha, it’s terrible. [-([-([-(
Martworld
I’am feeling much better. I’m in the office today
Very sad
41 Zimandola,Why cant people move then from lightening prone areas? Instead u wait 4 Govt to buy gadgets which is practible impossible……By the way i cud not help laughing at yo suggetion that Govt can buy lightening gadgets, cant imagine even :)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):)):))

Kansi ndiwe Wanzeluless #49, i mean has the responsibility of relocating people from such areas.ohh yes its the government of the day. It has to give alternative settlements to affected populations. Securing such gadgets is not as impossible as you may think.Other developing countries in Asia and Africa have such gadgets for thier village populations that live in prone areas. Please do a thorough research on this topic before you expose your dangerous ignorance on it. Don`t even lough about it, this is a question of life and death. It is in these areas where MMD amassed a lot of votes, so its just right that people in areas are protected.
I pray for their family.
Wow. Are you asking the government to prevent lightning? Surely there must be SOME things that we must do for ourselves?
I pray for quick recovery for those that survived the bad incident. Its rear for lightening to strike at night especially this period. All we experience are heavy but soft down pours. Lightening is common during the on se t of the rains and when we approach mid March. For that incident I suspect akalumba, kapenyi, nzaji. May be Rural Electrification Authority (REA) should for start in rural areas instal lightening arresters so that no further lives are lost. For place like Luapula anything can happen. Is that not the place where some had traditional computer like gadgets fo eluding enemies.
sad! sad! indeed. must be the work of the dark side.
NINE CHALE, READ AND UNDERSTAND BEFORE YOU PASS ON COMMENTS. HOW CAN GOD FEEL MERCY ON HER WHEN SHE GONE, INSTEADY OF THE ONES THAT ARE BATTLING FOR THEIR LIVES.
So sad, the life of the mother and the un born baby cut short. So sad, life is not ever fair. MTSRIP
Sad sad moment,it is the work of the devil as GOD would not want his children to find themselves in such situations as he promised that his plans he has for the future are not of harming anybody but prosperity and bright future.

:-?The woman (MHSRIP) in this case may be a victim of a Cloud-to-ground lightning. This is a great lightning discharge between a cloud and the ground and the second most common type of lightning that poses the greatest threat to life. A simple metal rode called a lighting arrester are what typical urban houses have to prevent fatalities. The dead woman was reported to be from Chief Chisunka` area and we can assume that she was in a rural area and hence was sleeping in a typical rural house, a hut. Huts have no lightning arresters. If you are in your village do not lean against wall of the hut because you will part of the circuit as the lighting moves from the sky to the ground using the w:((:((
“The deceased who has been identified as Sylvia Kalaba, her husband and their two children were struck when they were sleeping in their house in Chiputa Village in Chief Chisunka’s area.”
May the soul of Sylvia Kalaba rest in peace. How about the baby in the pregnancy, is it battling for its life in hospital since only the woman is reported as having died?
I wanted to offer condolences messages of its dying alongside the mother’s to the family that is remaining, but for now I restrict such for the mother only. I will wait for more info. before, I write anything about it.
