Zambians urged not to down play the global economic crisis

Share

The Christian Faith Mission Centre (CFMC) has advised Zambians not to trivialize the global economic crisis.

CFMC Pastor-in-Charge Peter Chanda says the citizenry should therefore remain united in a bid to address the various challenges that the country was faced with.

Pastor Chanda told journalists during a press in Lusaka today that there is an urgent need for Zambians to remain united in order to help the country answer to the many challenges associated with the global economic down-turn.

He said Zambians must not play down the global economic problems but that they have a moral obligation to contribute to meaningfully to the development of the nation.

Pastor Chanda further stated that as the country recovers from its economic doldrums, there was need for every Zambian to take the fight against poverty as a priority with a view to enhancing economic development in the country.

The clergy has since urged the Christian community, the private sector and other stakeholders to partner with government with a view to addressing the various challenges that the country was faced with.

    • This mentality will not build Zambia. We cant ignore Global crisis over Regina’s case. You certainly have relatives who can’t afford a full meal now becoz of the high Mealie-meal prices but non may be affected when Regina is free or jailed.

  1. This message should be directed to the president and his ministers. Zambians are as still hard working as ever.

  2. Finally on the new format I’m have managed No.1 Feew, Sorry for celebrating. Hey, regina Chiluba has gone in for 3 1/2 years today. Sad day for the Chiluba though this was expected after following proceedings. next DORA & Others, and Finally but in the so near future Xaviour and FTJ. Yaba This has restored my confidence in the Zambian Judicial system, Well done Zed Judges for metting out serious sentences for corrupt activities. Hey Globla crisis we should worry, already a new mine Albidon closed as from tomorrow to send workers on the streets with no programs to prepare them i.e counselling, job search skills or enterprenuer workshops for them. NyamaSoya take charge,

  4. Sorry bloggers, out of topic! but i have to say this! I have recently become a target of all sorts of attacks on this blog especially in my absence! I ve been called names ranging from, hule, dumb, Ichipuba and the like! To Kadobi, Input and others who goes anonym… especially the one who blogs under the tswana flag, my question is what the heck have I done to you? Is it the name you hate or what…. If am a hule, is it your problem? Mwalinshetapo? If am dumb, how does that concern you? And if am a chipuba, still how do you come in?

    • Baby C, you’re not the only victim of such personal attacks, I advise you to keep calm while LT takes appropriate action. Hold your head high!

  5. Yup. Its OK to take the downturn seriously but it doesnt mean certain people should take advantage and fatten there butts, while everybody suffers. And also we need leaders who have wisdom to get us out of this alive. As heads of your families, bloggers, I hope you are not blaming the downturn while your children suffer. You have to be wise and save your family. Thats how our leaders should be.
Oh and babe C, don’t worry I think its because you is so persimistic about Z soccer, so those are soccer hooligans, ever head of that?

    • Oh! really? i get it dear, unfortunately they cant change the way i feel and think about Zambian soccer! besides I’m entitled to my own opinion! I cant say Chipolopolo simply because the masses are saying so….this means the attacks will continue coz am not gonna say die!!!!!!

  6. Namwishiba bane politicians always find some thing to blame when they are messing up. You remember Chiluba blaming KK all his term long, KK this KK that only to discover later what Kachatiile has done to our nation. So this blame the recession thing gives me… gripes.

  7. Nyama soya is a non repentant revengist whom if he had a way, would wanna see you die twice. He has no heart for the nation and if you are not upset with whats going on in the country right now, you may not need to tell us what your surname is we know already.
