  1. Health workers please go back to work. You can have go slows but please show compassion to the sick who depend on you and do not have money to be flown to Morningside clinic.

  2. well reat pics. especially the rugby mosi 7s..i was sad with hospital (UTH) fotoes and where was the fire figter team when the hospital kitchen caught fire..ba council

  3. Nice plane but it still looks ancient to me. Why do we always have to end up with the oldest of technologies…

  4. pic# George Kunda’s children were feasting on Dates all weekend! and his wife got a free cake! iyoo mwandi!

  5. What is this Baptism of a plane in #1, 2, that would ‘freak me out’ !!!!!!
Patients being transported on those hard trolleys is a sad state of affairs..

  6. Where is Zambezi Airlines geeting money to purchase these tuma planes?? I only hope they wont en-up like Zambia airways.

  7. Quite a sad record when it comes to sustaining the nation’s airline, from ZAMBIA AIRWAYS to ZAMBIAN AIRWAYS and now ZAMBEZI AIRWAYS. I bet the next one will be called ZAMZAM AIRWAYS. Very soon we will run out of the ZAM names but the same Fire brigade will be on hand to ‘baptise’ the nation’s aircraft irrespective of what they are called.

  8. nice pics LT….#20 iyeee sure! iwe LT why are you calling them “minority” shareholders?kuba chindikako panono zoona!bali BEULA abanenu!

  9. Plenty of nice pictures…make me wanna fly home immediately on Zambezi Airlines! Can anyone educate me if they do international or only regional flights?

Pic 22 our Ambassador seems to be a very charming man. Absolutely the right person to loosten up the German dead serious attitude of all work & no play…good choice RB!

I had at least a keg of good German beer last weekend but whenever I see good old Moses (Mosi) , my mouth starts getting watery again! Plus the bottle even looks better than I can last recall. I think it’s about time to market it internationally…I know the Germans would love it!

  10. Zambezi Air-whatever!

    Things are beoming interesting.

As for Zambia Sugar PLC, this development kumusanza is good for southerners and Zambia in general.

    Take care boss.

  12. Good start Zambezi, let SAA run for its money they are becoming expensive because there is no competition. But do not close down after a year of flying.

  13. # 4! This woman was right ababene te bakukumbata. You can just risk yo marriage. Clever woman, The Health Workers strike is stil on and they have planned demos for Friday if nothing happens between now and Thursday. LT Nice pictures at least no RB.

  14. #15! Zambezi Airline is still a baby for the locals and as far as South Africa. Not yet ready to come and pick you up from Germany. Good day and God Bless.

  15. blogggers take time to see data on MoH scandal provided by Ba Moze on the Chiluba thread. You will love it!!!

  16. Nice pictures LT. Mmm my good friend Mubika Mubika – from Shangombo to ndeke- no wonder stance mu pic # 6. Pics # 8 and 9 – very sad. Pic # 12 – Those two are really embattled. Pic # 23 – Please pipo get Kapoko. Pic # 24 – ka Mosi kale mwebantu! On the kitchen at Kabwe General hospital, where were the fire tenders? – Baptising Zambezi airways????

  17. I hope the Zambian people can abandon the MMD in 2011 the way the patients and health workers abandoned those wards in UTH!

  18. I am watching a show on copper and it states that 10 percent of the copper in the world have already been mined. In short that 10% of 8.1 trillion tonnnes. The say we shall have enough. You know the ancient Egyptians, which is us, used copper plumbing for water supply. It hold anti bacterial properties that actually kept the water clean and healthy; they are studying its possibilities in Medicine as I speak. In short hospital doors/rails might be getting replacements for currents attachments. Plus it has medicinal properties. Ask yourselves this why could we not hold on to Half the control of our own mineral? It makes a crystalline form called pertina that is beautiful, copper renforced roofings can las hundred years. Average roof over a house can cost you 35 thousand $. Wow! Zambians.

  19. good photos….LT you should include the Diaspora photos!!!!! for example Maestro in france with ka mosi beer, abena nine chale in germany with a bible preaching and abena kambongolo busy analysing REVOLUTION 2011. Ha ahahahahahahah

  20. A mixt breed of pictures indeed with those of zambezi airlines being very encouraging and motivating(for our airline industries future ofcourse), while that of the situation at the university teaching hospital is not only sad but depressing and how i dream my country will one day reverte back to the past situation it was during the independence period “when zambia had a spoon of copper in its mouth” if i can borrow kaundas words.Lesa twafweni

  21. 36 Kambongolo hhe hhe hhe hhe taumfwa (you don’t listen – not really naughty) for your wrote “LT you should include the Diaspora photos!!!!! for example Maestro in france with ka mosi beer, abena nine chale in germany with a bible preaching and abena kambongolo busy analysing REVOLUTION 2011” while you know that I do not drink beer as an SDA Christian save for lost ones.

While the thrust of yor message hold water as in it being cardinal for the nation, it is not goo to insunuate such about me. However, I had a good laugh.

On another note, you almost have my coordinates for I am about 100 or so km from France in Germany.

Have a great day and careful next time.

  22. I can’t find any story about Zambezi Airline on the site, did i miss anything,is it a new airline or it’s the same old small airline?

  23. My lawyer advised me not to fly until he says so!! Good for Zambian Aeroways but when I am in Frankfurt I can not ask for biarding Zambezi Aeroplane. I hope I live long to fly that one before it gets ruined by corrupt zedians.

Nine Chale iwe stop dreaming and order some mosi for Germany please. We need to sell the african beers kuno. The only problem is the Germans will demand the ingredients and so ninshi ifwe nizeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

  24. #41 Jigga they just painted the old planes. Wait until the rains come and the water paint they used get washed away. You will just see DC 10 Zambia Airways with KK face on it. LOL

  25. #5 you are asking where the fire fighters were when a hospital “Chikini” was being gutted in Kabwe? You need to be a bit more analytical. The fire fighters were busy baptizing Zambezi airlines new plane in Lusaka while the other engine had taken water to the private plot of the firebrigade chief in Livingstone. Thats how we priotize issues pa Z, filaisova chabe.

  26. Nine Chale, its true you need to thanks # 40 for the education he has guided you into. Yes regional flights are international too period. Your question has been answered. Owe good selection of events LT.

  27. Pic #18 this is the progress we want to see, Zed exporting to the EU.

Very sad about the UTH saga, this is why that Kapoko guy must be punished, he stole to build a lodge, very evil.

  28. #40 lol! Zambezi plane being baptised would also freak me out a lot…the looks of the pilot would also tinya me….i wish they had not shown me his pix, lol. The pix of relative and a patient on a stretcher is very disheartening. The police commissioner is scarry indeed…..let me stop!

  29. That plane is carrying a tale of a tiger!! Why not use the eagle on the Zambian Flag kanshi? Give the plane a zambian face and not just a Zambian name!!!

Zambezi plane may also represent the countries were the zambezi river flows and not just Zambia alone !! Make the lines clear and stamp a zambian flaggi on da plane LOL

  30. ‘COOL’, design of the Zambezi Airline logo. It truly reflects the Zambian or Zambia’s environment. I was also interested in seing both the pipo as well as the Nakambala dam. But, LT decided to black it out by pipo sielding it. Journalists of Zambia-show what is mainly the subject and not otherwise. In this case, the dam was the subject but you decided to fully show us the on-lookers. It doesn’t make sense. Can you please, encore and fully show us the dam. And. Is RB still out of the country ahving a jolly good time? Tell us.

  31. #3. I don’t blame the health workers. I blame RB and his blind followers who started the race by awarding themselves with medals before they run even a fraction of the distance. They should have started with such most important (civil servants) workers. But, what do you expect from RB anyway, having known his crooked past?

  32. When my cousin finished her nursing course, she worked for more than six months without pay. She kept on sending some IMF requests from me. I wondered what she was doing with her money. But, she told me that they don’t get paid. Well, this was before the demise of Levy. Now, this problem has been there even b4 RB, it is being naive to overlook it and award yourself a heft pay. Anyway, as I have said. You don’t expect much from rb.

  33. #49. CAPTAIN CHANSA IS A VERY EXPERIENCED PILOT. HIS LOOKS HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WAY HE HANDLES PILOTTING BUSINESS IF YOU THINK HE DOESN’T LOOK GOOD IN YOUR EYES. BESIDES, Cptn CHANSA IS ONE OF THOSE HUMBLE HUMAN BEING YOU WOULD COME ACROSS, AND MIXES WELL WITH ANYONE.

  34. I SOMETIMES WISH ZAMBIANS COULD TALK ABOUT REAL ISSUES, RATHER THAN THE LOOKS OF SOMEONE BCOZ PIPO DON’T CHOOSE THE WAY THEY SHOULD LOOK.

  35. #51. IT’S NOT A TIGER. BUT, A GIRAFFE. WHICH IS A ZAMBIAN FACE I BELIEVE. CONFIRM IT WITH THE CAPTAIN’S TIE. I AM PARTICULARLY, IMPRESSED WITH THE LOGO. ANY WAY, ONE MAN’S MEAT IS ANOTHER’S NYAMA SOYA.

  36. If my memory servez me right, Mr Ephraim Mateyo was recalled from retirement to become Inspector General of the police, a job he did very well. Now he iz ambassador or simply put, still serving in government; when are the young or indeed otherz going to be given the chance to serve the nation?? I stand to be corrected. Very nice and creative picturez tho.

  37. Zambians abroad are fond of petty observations, always shooting down efforts. You should be like East Africans. Really proud to be what they are and were they come from. Very few Zambians are like that. What has the captains looks got to do with Zambezi or flying a plane? When the first Zambezi Airlines Boeing 737 500 did its first flight and landed at OR in Jburg, the plane was received and baptised in the same manner. What is wrong with that? Ask pipo and the industry what that signals. Or if anything just the word BAPTISM itself is self explanatory. The first plane is christined the Spirit of Kafue and this one is Spirit of Mosi oa tunya. Muleikala fye!

  38. 59 The Only Living JAY greetings and good observation. However, the young have to work hard for themselves in order to serve mother Zambia as no one will give them a chance to serve, follwoing your “Now he iz ambassador or simply put, still serving in government; when are the young or indeed otherz going to be given the chance to serve the nation??

Have a good day and keep well.

1 Thessalonians 5:14Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men.

  39. Hmmmm……..If my memory saves me right even Zambian Airways received the same baptisim given to Zambezi airlines. We will be watching the developments………………with keen interest. Only this time with knowledge of what happened to the former airline still fresh in our minds.

  40. Rugby iz such a phyzical game, makes my hair stand. The temptation to watch, and ‘enjoy’ the game tho, iz alwayz there.

  41. they have no water to put off fires but is in abundance when they have to baptise a plane, what kind of nonsense is this – ‘baptize a plane’

  42. Well well interesting what is Govt doing about nurses strike?is it because them apamwamba can fly to SA? look at our poor pipo who cant afford private clinics.Sad reading indeed pa zed.

  43. Ba IG Bushe kuti mwabika Ubuteko or Umthetho ku van ku numa. You must be charged for violation of Health and Safety Act. Hope eko yaba ku Zed, kale twafumako kwa Mayo tukabwela one day.
