Malole MP, Emmanuel Munaile asked to resign

The Citizens Forum in Mungwi District has demanded the immediate resignation of Malole Member of Parliament, Emmanuel Munaile, accusing him of failing to deliver on his election promises to the electorate.

Forum District Secretary Baitwell Mfula made the demand in a press statement availed to ZANIS in Kasama today.

Mr. Mfula claimed that there have been numerous complaints from Mungwi residents over the alleged non-performance of Mr. Munaile in his constituency.

He said Mr. Munaile would do better by emulating Kasama Central MP Saviour Chishimba, who resigned voluntarily from his position.

Mr. Mfula charged that Mr. Munaile, who is also Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) vice-president, had allegedly failed to spearhead development in his constituency, resulting in under development of the area.

Mr. Mfula said it is only in order for the MP to step down and allow focused individuals to contest the Malole seat, so that the electorate could see meaningful development in Malole Constituency.

He warned that if Mr. Munaile does not resign voluntarily, the people of Malole would have no choice but to use other means to have him forced out of office, adding that people were fed-up of empty promises from the area MP.

Mr. Mfula explained that Mungwi residents wanted to see infrastructure development take root as the District has lagged behind in terms of development despite attaining district status over 10 years ago.

He further advised Mr. Munaile to stop attacking innocent people who are critical of his poor performance as MP.

Mr. Mfula charged that there is nothing wrong in other people expressing interest in taking over from Mr. Munaile if they feel capable of delivering to the expectations of the local people.

By press time, efforts to get a comment from Mr. Munaile in Lusaka, failed.

  1. Gratuity at the end of it all. Yet the same fools will vote for him again. Continue suffering!

  2. He needs to choose between football politics and politics proper.Chimbwi afwile intangalalo mune Munaile.

  3. those who know this man will tell what type of an opportunist this guy is.typical mufulira guy.good luck to you people of malole

  4. Akapondo shhhhhhhh! I spent part of my childhood there. I know him very well. I do not think he is an opportunist though.

  5. Too many tasks for one man. He should choose between MP or FAZ if he has to perform better or at all.

  6. Too bad ali mukali ku Mighty Iwina ichungulo tamwaletomboka ba Nkana naba Nchanga.

  7. People…in the first place….Munaile is NOT and i repeat, NOT the legitimate elected Member of Parliamnet for Malole…..CHALLENGE???here’s why….due to an anomaly by the presiding officer probably (HEM HEM D), he was erroneously declared winner of the malole seat….an appeal to the Supreme Court by the rightful winner, a PF candidate, was rejected on account of improper submission of documents…..thats our law and thats why people have not seen any development….the man is a CHANCER.

  8. Yaba…..more suffering in Zambia….people will cry and weep for a saviour but their saviour has no ears to hear, no eyes to see and no brains to contemplate their sufferings. ZAMBIA THE REAL AFICA.

  9. Please people, let us not forget that failing to deliver on election promises is a common feature with all Zambian leaders including the president himself. What election promise has the president kept, NOTHING! All he has done is to surround himself with carders and turn the police against innocent Zambians. So it not only Mr Munaile who has failed, it is the whole bunch of them and we are sick and fed up with them.

  10. Iwe wechi AKAPONDO, how can you categorize us mafa-mafa guyz? Ulelanda bwino. Waba naiwewine kumwenu.

  11. The whole Zambia is at the moment in a state of stagnation for for all I know, Munaile cannot do anything. Mr. Mfula should not be trying to hide behide pathetic smokes and screens here, he just wants Munaile’s seat, period! He is behaving like Sata on Rupiah, regardless of what Nyama Soya does, including attending Sata’s grand child’s funeral, the snake will continue puking vernon into Banda until like Levy, he is dead!

  12. #12 ShakaZulu – Are you saying Ba Sata nindonshi? I cant be surprised, his face is the stuff of nightmares.

  13. Ba T-Bag,
I dont exchange words with lightweights like you.i know you are under the influence of utujili.so weigh yourslf before i give you my lethal sucker punch busterd.

  14. 3Rqu,
You might have known the guy personally but i believe you didn’t know is character as you may not be close to him.anyway it’s not worth arguing.

  15. Ba Malole muliko na bwino, imwe mwalishiba na MP wenu. I don’t know who the Kabushi constituency MP is!!! This is in Ndola.

  16. If Sata “te ndoshi” then I do not know who else. This is the man who haunted Levy day and night and claimed we will have a presidential bye-election before the end of 2008 and true to his prediction Levy died in Egypt and we had an election. When Levy’s corpse was going around the country, who was there trying to be very close to the dead man, Satan! Look at his face, if this is not a rean enactment tantamount to Michael Jackson’s block busting “THRILLER” or the “Night of the Living Dead”, then I do not know what is!

  17. #15 Akapondo. I know what I meant when I said I know him. You are right it`s not worth arguing about.

  18. What happened to the pipo of Malole of all the capable pipo to vote for Munaile. Asking him to resign will not solve problems. Its a lesson. Hon. Munaile is a Lusaka resident though he hails from Malole his interest is no longer there but her and his FAZ. How can this man expected to develop his constituency when he has failed over the years to develop his small holding in Lusaka’s Ibex area. I could not believe what I saw as his residence unless I was misinformed. N ext elections electorates should avoid failing prey to mercenary parliamentary candidates.

  19. Munaile please let go of One position especially the MP Position. Continue with your Vice Presidence at FAZ. DO LIKE WISE

  20. the Munaile debacle should serve as a reminder to the electorate not to vote with their feet. Vote for people with proven track records in politics not opportunists
