Fr Bwalya reports William Banda to Police

Share

Fr Frank Bwalya

Change Life Zambia (CFZ) Executive Director Father Frank Bwalya has reported MMD Lusaka province chairperson William Banda to the police for threatening violence against him.

This follows threats issued by Mr Banda on Monday this week during a meeting he addressed in Kanyama that he would sort out Fr Bwalya if he tried to extend his red card campaign to Lusaka.

Fr Bwalya disclosed on Thursday that he reported Mr Banda to Lusaka central police this afternoon.
The Father said he took Mr Banda’s threats seriously considering the violence that transpired in Mufumbwe bye-election.
Fr Bwalya hoped that police could arrest Mr Banda and allow the law to take its course.

He said police have since asked him to go back on Monday at 14:00hrs to find out the way forwards.

The Father added that if people threatening violence were not dealt with by the law, they would continue to instill fear in innocent citizens from exercising their constitutional rights and freedoms.

Fr Bwalya said MMD provincial chairperson’s threats would not deter him to continue with his red card campaign.

He also noted that Mr Banda’s threats have boosted the launch of the red card campaign in Lusaka.

  1. Fr Bwalya as a free Zambian in his own country has done the right thing to report the blood-thirsty foreigner (Malawian) to the police for threats on his life. We are aware that the police will do nothing about it because to them threatening violence is not a crime. We Zambians are very docile indeed so much that even foreign criminals ( well protected by the powers that be) are free to mess us about.

  2. from this confusion can rise a saving grace. Let’s seek God and vote for the right person.

  3. William Banda is NOT a foreigner, he was only maliciously deported by a vidictive foreigner, Chiluba. As for Bwalya, he should expect some opposition, was he under the illusion that all people agree with his crazy ideas?

  4. Good move my father mupatili.Better do that even if william thinks he is Boma and hence untouchable.Deuces bane:)>-

  5. great step Father keep on showing your boldness and launch red card in lusaka people have been waiting,i cannot wait …….william is trying to cover up his fears the HOUR HAS COME FOR HIM AND HIS RELATIVES TO LEAVE

  6. Whaoo!

Very brave Zedian and not docile at all. Mudala, wachita bwino. I will be looking out for you during your campaign! Well done.

  7. Number three willian Banda is not a zambian do not think those who deported him were that silly not to do a back grouind check on him, ask and you such know the truth.

  8. even the whole church knows what a blood thirsty tribalist this ex-priest is. He nearly, single handed destroyed the church and its structures in Ndola. he thinks only members from his tribe should be presidents of Zambia. He forgets that Zambia is not made up of his tribesmen alone. And the rest of us will not support you because you are a danger to Zambia, (Ask the church ) , you are a genicidal power hungry individual (trying to ban the president from attending easter church) and you do not understand anything about how a country is run. For those reasons alone, not because your tribe, a lot of pipo do not support you .thankfully we are many sensible ones.

  9. I we #11:

I am of mixed heritage (Lozi & bemba) but i think the Bemba people have the power but also very accomodating. If you take advantage of them, then they will strike. Bembas are never tribalist, trust me as i ve experience from both side. The Bmbas are into mixing, not divide, like this RB shit-of-a-president. So lets no go there mate. Father B is bored in his job and may be he might do good with his red card campaign. Lt him do the job and just ignore him if you wish, but never threaten to squash his voice! S chill and support all the suffering zambian, unless ofcourse you are here (in UK) due to MMD thieves?

    Are you voting tonight?

belive it or not one of my parents are bemba and i think HH would be the best among the lot. But his association with Sata whos past is too tarnished to be considered for me, has let him down. RBs GRZ is performing. Not as good as we would like, but according to verifiable figures and reputable bodies, this is true weather you like it or not. Unlike some of you who support blindly based on tribal lines, i think RB is better then the Sata/bwalya association. allow me to understand, do you base you assetion that the bembas have the power on their higher population numbers ?

  11. #5, was that an sms? do you have a full key board? Its quite disjointed i must say, and where do you base you ‘dull’ comment or is it a case of 4 fingers pointing your way?

  12. # 14 kc
Which verifiable figures and reputable bodies are you talking about, give us a link/url so we can also verify those claims.RB has been in office for almost 2yrs now,can you show us any project of his own that he has ever commissioned so far,all he’s done is recommission levys projects and give orders to complete uncompleted projects
i reckon this tribalism you always harp on about is a tard too petty,Zambia has more than 70 tribes

  13. # 3, Just because someone is brought up or is living in a garage does not make them a car. The same goes for Willam Banda, the lumpen is Malawian, regardless of whether he has a Zambian NRC or not. The chap was born of Nyasalanian parents in Nyasaland and brought up there before he trekked illegally through the Sindamisale corridor to Zambia as an illegal refugee. So for me, both him and Chiluba are foreigners, with Chiluba being sired by an illegal alien from Chibambo mission in Katanga.

  14. please take him to court direct, just sue him and if possible in chingola high court so that he can be traveling to the copperbelt for hearing. can some one sue this guy for immigration so that we can check what papers he has. we need to cut off hist testicles in order to silence him. but his days are numbered. soon the pact is coming. all will be done.

  15. Fr. Bwalya why waste your time going to the police? Just keep praying against the evil in our society.

The word of God, which is sharper than any double edged sword, (Hebrews 4.12) clearly says :

“The Lord pays attention to the godly and hears their cry for help. But the Lord opposes evildoers and wipes out all memory of them from the earth.” (Psalms 34:15-16).

  16. Fr Bwalya, exellent. Sue him. We know even Kabonde can’t touch him. But, it will be on record and will be revived after 2011 elections. Keep on fighting for the poor. We love you.

  17. This Father should know that the police have said in the past that threatening violence is not a crime – that is why thay have not arrested Kabimba who vowed to make Zambia ungovernable. Even Father Bwalya’s actions have the potential to ignite violence – William Banda can counter sue you as well.

  18. I strongly have a lot of fear for 2011,with Vigilante pOlitics back?we will have to deport William Banda for good immiediately after 2011,to Afghanistan to join Bin Laden,Zacchari and Omar the leader or the Taliban. He is a terrorist old geriatric demented man nasty, recipe for civil war if not watched.Like Katele now wiser.

  19. Kc you are the only tribalistic in this site and you sound uncivilised. What tribe is William? Who is he suppoting? Of course you are not bemba, it a lie that one your parents is bemba. You are a genicidal for
hating my Tribe. Whether you like it or not we shall be Bembas and continue living as we are. So you are now challenging God for creating us.

  20. #22, I think you made a mistake by mentioning Kabimba, actually you meant to say they have not arrested another MMD violent criminal Chalwe who threatened to gang rap.e Nawakwi. Kabimba has never threatened violence on anyone. This twisting straight from the MMD text book is no longer working bwana. The PACT members have never been as violent as MMD. Actually MMD is condoning the evilness being spewed by William Banda. With regard to your statement:
“Even Father Bwalya’s actions have the potential to ignite violence”. Tell us how a red paper with nothing written on it will ignite violence. Unless you say it will come from your staunch MMD fanatics. I have seen thousands of red cards being flashed on soccer pitches and no violence has erupted. All you have to say is that you’re…

  21. #3, there is nothing crazy abt father bwalya’s ideas, its a noble cause for ze many sufferin voiceless zambians. u very correct to point out that he shud expect opposition and i think he is ready for it but shud opposition come in ze form of threats on one’s life? i dont think so, william an mmD shud also know that not all zambians agree wth them so they shud be ready to accept and welcome opposition

  22. #3 Red nose Clown- Your name suits your ideas. William Banda is a Malawian. His real names are Saili Awali and comes from Nkhota Khota where he was warmly welcomed by his uncles brothers etc. Ther was no malice in his deportation. Just go to the Luaska High Court and read the out come of his appeal. Dont open your mouth without facts.

  23. #3 Red nose Clown, check your facts

Zambia: Supreme Court; 14TH JULY AND 25TH OCTOBER, 1994

Banda v Chief Immigration Officer and Another (S.C.Z. Judgment No. 16 of 1994)

BWEUPE, D.C.J., CHAILA AND MUZYAMBA, JJ.S.

    Held:

………we hold that the learned trial judge was correct on the evidence before him, to declare and hold that the petitioner is not a Zambian; ……………..The appellant deliberately lied about his father, mother, brothers, sisters and place of birth. He has failed to prove that he was born in Zambia while the investigations carried out by the state against him showed that his parents came from Nkono village, Nkota kota in Malawi…..

(ii)The deportation warrant signed by the Deputy Minister was valid for all intents and purposes.

    Appeal…

  24. #28mule_ Thanx brother/sister for sparing time on those details. I would like to add that LPM forgave Mr Awali aka William Banda on account that he had left property among which were 3 wives behind in Zambia. This reminds me of another Malawian called Winston Ghumbo who claimed to be Zambian when standing for FAZ Chairman elections. But after he had made enough money he defected to Malawi where he is now a big businessman that is if he still alive. He used to boast that he was as Zambian as the Kafue Rive which is completely in Zambia running from CB to SP.

  25. …a policeman will move at a rate equivalent to the cash inducement provided the cashflows are enough to service the nshima pot..

  26. KC, 14 Post, I like your thinking. I prefer UPND. It has a clearly defined party structure and goal. A party is more than one man, it also takes more than one man to rule a counrty. Thats the limitation of Sata and PF. MMD is a tired political party. However RB’s rule has been in extremely difficult period. But as a party MMD has had enough time to show its true colours and it has failed the poor of our country. Change is required.

As for Fr Bwalya, he shall be forgotten in a year or two. I have never liked the mixing politics and religion. He should make a decision and stick to it. Plus the red card thing is really corny! hehehe

  27. #17 RED CARD-Smoothcriminal
Firstly i’ll guess you are Bemba. 2 ndly as you point out RB has been in power for only 2 yrs. What major projects are completed in 2 yrs ?. For aboundant information on Zambia improved performance economic, just check on the net, nowere is there a report saying the economy is in decline
Maybe you are one of those that think poverty reduction comes before economic stability and improvement. Conventional thinking is first you have an improved economy then citizens lifes improve.
RB has only been in power for 2 yrs, one would think he has been ruling for millenia the way some of you carry on. Who do you sugest become presido, Bwalya or Sata ??

  28. There is never a doubt to identify a brain-washed individual, you can tell by their inconsistencies in their logic and inclination. Having said this I find it worthless to comment on the garbage by Kc and Red nose Clown.

  29. Some are so blinded by Sata and Bwalya coupled with kaponya reasoning like this Nom de Plume Dot Com. They live in the 1st world and forget that Zambia is the third world. They expect GRZ to give free eveything to Zambians. When one challenges the fact that we dont want sata/bwalya network they start throwing abuse. RB is better that Sata/Bwalya any time.

  30. this tells you how corrupt the police are for not taking action on threats, people may think its a lie but the man can be serious. its about time things changed for the better:)

  31. Lets not get bogged down in s.t.u.pid xenophobic arguments. Zambia is not South Africa. Who is a foreigner? All of us are foreigners since we moved from somewhere else to come to Zambia. However an I.d.i.ot is an i.d.i.ot. That we cant argue about. If Banda cant think on the higher levels of respect for freedom of expression that we have attained then he should be locked up for inciting violence on a peaceful demonstrator. Whether he is from Malawi or from Lunda-Luba Kingdom is irrelevant.
