Opposition Patriotic Front (PF) spokesperson Given Lubinda has described as rubbish the story of a purported PF shadow cabinet published in today’s Zambia Daily Mail.
Mr. Lubinda said some of the names listed in the purported secret document are questionable and that it should not be believed.
He said Mr. Sata cannot appointment Joe Kalusa to his cabinet following recent attacks the UPND copperbelt youth chairman launched on the PF.
Mr. Lubinda pointed out that the purported appointment of Kasama central Member of Parliament Geoffrey Mwamba as a shadow minister in charge of gender is questionable following the incident where he battered his wife.
He said the document is an alleged ploy to destabilize the PF a matter he described as impossible.
The people purported to be in the shadow cabinet include PF secretary-general Wynter Kabimba as Vice-President, Mandevu MP Jean Kapata, who has been allocated the Ministry of Home Affairs and Willie Nsanda as Minister of Transport.
Others are prominent Lusaka businessman Geoffrey Mwamba popularly known as GBM, who has been allocated the Ministry of Gender, while Chipili PF MP Davis Mwila is tipped to be minister of Foreign Affairs.
Outspoken UPND Copperbelt youth Chairman Joe Kalusa has been positioned to be Minister of Youth and Sport.

MMD is indeed one of the gig political parties in the country.I just don’t understand their panic over the 2011 elections.They are doing all the dirty tricks in the book to distabilise other parties while at the same time RB is going hoarse telling the international community that the elections will be free and fair. There are cracks everywhere in this PACT. Whilst Kakoma insists that the PACT can not be destroyed, Given says that the PF can not be destroyed. PF does not recognise the UPND in most of their media statements. A further example is when the Cobra nominated Misapa right at the press conferences to contest the Mporokoso seat without consulting with the UPND. Last time, Given was in agreement with FODEP over the dangers of delaying the announcement the PACT president whilst Winter thought otherwise. I sensed a rift between Winter and Given there. I believe what is keeping the PACT together is the fear of the embarasment should the PACT fail. Sort out your problems and not blame the MMD.
Lubinda has shown clearly that he is in the dark, why was he even questioning his bosses would be appointees?
If he knew it was a hoax, he would have said so but he dwelt on the details in the document implying he also know it is a legitimate document although he does not agree with some of the appointments. However Sata does not have to (will not have to) seek Given’s approval before making his wishlist.For us Zambians we can be relieved by the fact that that cabinet will end as just that, a wish list, never reality.

So Mr. Lubinda is in the dark. Whatever the case is, some of the names you disagree with Mr. Lubinda are PF material. They would be expected to be in the PF cabinet should the unlikely event happen that the PF wins elections.
