‘Chiluba’s ‘dribbling’ statement can be source of conflict’

The Anti- Voter Apathy project (AVAP) has appealed to President Rupiah Banda to advise his party to desist from issuing statement that maybe a source of conflicts as the country goes to the polls this year.

AVAP Executive Director Bonnie Tembo told QFM news that the statements of former president Dr.
Fredrick Chiluba’s intention to resurrect dribbling in the MMD raise suspensions which may result in conflicts.

Mr. Tembo has, however, commended President Banda to advocate for peace but has also challenged him to ensure that the playing field for political players is leveled.

He added that preferred candidate syndrome when it comes to choose party leaders should also be avoided to prevent the possible outbreaks of violence.

Mr. Tembo has also advised the president to ensure that they prepare themselves for any outcome of the elections saying their must win mentality is also a source of worry.

He says that all parties need to prepare themselves for any outcome of the elections saying that no political party can claim ownership over the voters.

  1. Chiluba is an alarmist. The Police should visit him and the law should take it’s cause.

  2. Yes Chiluba has told us that he will rig elections. Let you be warned that you will do it at your own peril. Zambians will not allow it this year, remeber Tunisia and Egypt will follow Zambia. Dont take Zambians for granted.

  3. if theirany dribbling in elections then sata is very much aware bcos he is a victim after he was dribbled by ftj in preference for mwanawasa. yes we encourage political bribbling its part of the game

  4. Rupiah can’t see any wrong in conman kafupi’s irresponsible statement because of desperation to cling to power at any cost. Every dog has its own day,and days are surely coming for these dogs.

  5. The statement by AVAP makes sense and in addition Chiluba must be made to explain what he meant. Chiluba’s careless talk must be checked.

  6. These are just toothless bull dogs…. If rigging will happen dust will settle as most Zambians fail to pull together in one direction.. I don’t think that Chiluba is careless in his talks, It will work out as he used many tricks to frustrate his case which dragged to 8yrs. chasing kalulu at 100m when reaching 10m -20m apart then the race become zik zak.. haa haaa haaa Pretending he was having heart problems.. what NOW??

  7. The Law enforcement agents and the Electoral Commission of Zambia must quickly constitute an electoral conducts court and summon Fredrick Titus Jacob Chiluba to explain what he meant, and what those tricks are and how they are executed.

For goodness’ sake, the man does not have immunity. Court him! We don’t want to go the Middle-East and North-Africa way here in Zambia, or do we?

  8. From the horse’s mouth.Do we need a witness? FTJ has said it all-Dangerous indeed.

No wonder Carits may have fore seen this -please help us put knowledgeable youths to recover Zed from doldrums hahaha

  9. RB must be xtra CAREFULL with this shortman FTJ…..he is provoking the peace loving Zambians to go Midle-East way of removing the government…….TRUE ZAMBIANS ARE LISTENING TO MMD/FTJ’S STATEMENTS>>>>RB must adviz his followers……”we luv our mother Zambia…PLEASE…don’t provoke us”

  10. HE CAN DRIBBLE BUT HE WILL NEVER SCORE IN ZAMBIA AGAIN……..CHIPOLOPOLO CAN ALSO DRIBBLE BUT WHAT IS THERE TO SHOW FOR IT……BOLA TUKATO, NOT IMINGALATO……THIS IS THE MAN WHO USES TINTED GLASSES CARS WHEN HE COMES TO THE COPPERBELT……ANYWAY, WE’LL WAIT FOR HIM………..
