President Rupiah Banda has commissioned rehabilitation works on the 97.7 billion Kwacha Chipata – Lundazi road.

President Banda said the funds for the road works have been sourced from the Development Bank of Southern Africa.

He said government has so far spearheaded a number of infrastructure developments in the country.

President Banda also assured Lundazi residents that contractors have pledged to work on schedule as long as government gives them support.

And President Banda has reiterated that this years elections will be peaceful.

He said the consistency Zambia has in holding peaceful elections will be maintained this year.

He appealed to Zambians to give the MMD another mandate for it to continue its development programmes.

He has cautioned the electorates to question other President contenders in this years elections, on what they would do for them, once voted into power.

The President further said his ability to deliver is evidenced by the many developmental programmes that have been achieved.

  1. MMD Katuba MP Hon. Shakafuswa said “BANDA’S MEDIOCRITY CAN’T CONTINUE,RISE UP AGAINST “THIS MONSTER.” Hon.Shakafuswa observed that “RUPIAH THRIVES ON SILENCING PEOPLE WITH CONTRARY VIEWS.” That was the MMD MP.

  2. Today in Eastern Province, President Rupiah, accused Sata as the one who mislead FTJ on the third term. Truth is that the architect of that misguided move is still in government and he is actually misleading the unsuspecting RB on some schemes. This is VJ. Him and Richard Sakala used the state media to try to justify the 3rd term. They even went as far as to lecture the nation on some fictitious USA president who went for a third tame. Sata knew that this was a nonstarter but took advantage hoping that he would eventually remain the only to take over. Unfortunately FTJ knew that the cobra would strike him should a reason arise. That is why he picked on the cabbage thinking that he would manipulate. How wrong. Paniking development

  3. It is high time we were given a better road to Kanele Bokosi 1. I hope this is the one that will be extended to Isoka via Chama. I travelled on this road in February last year where it took us about 6 hours from Chipata to Lundazi, a journey that is only supposed to take one and half hours or so. Good works boma.

  4. How come Eastern province has received so much capital project that any other province in Zambia. Road, railway… list is endless. Whats happening in mongu Kalabo road, mansa Mporokoso road, matanda chvuma rood? I’m just wondering.

  5. Banda this is useless young man..you are not dealing with babies..what were you doing all along?
just, we decided to put you in the state house to work not to look how the state house it is made..so my brother you were busy enjoying flights instead of working, even if you work hard in order to elect you just tell Thandiwe that you are going…good bye boyi.

  6. Eastern province needs these infrastrucuture. It is a nightmare travelling from Chipata to Muyombe/Isoka.. The more roads we have the better our country.

  7. And yet you spend 1.1 and 1.5 billion to develp western province. Rb is insulting the people of western province. The poor lozi tribe of Zambia.
