FORMER MMD national secretary Katele Kalumba has advised Zambians to be wary of some developed countries which believe in the philosophy of changing government because they can use any method at their disposal to ensure the opposition wins this year’s tripartite elections.
Dr Kalumba said in an interview on April 14 the youth should support President Banda because he is the only mature and experienced leader capable of withstanding the pressure from some developed countries which believe that there must be change of governmnet if a particular political party stays in power.
“We cannot fall prey to the philosophy of government change at any cost. I would like to counsel Zambians to be wary of those who believe in the change philosophy who can use any method like changing electoral procedure and rules, infiltrating churches and creating false opposition through sponsored civil society organisations,” Dr Kalumba said.
He warned that those advocating change have a variety of institutions they can use to create an impression that the people of Zambia do not want their government or ruling party to continue in office.
“We must be wary of such things, and we must talk about them when we notice them. The philosophy of change of government is not about democracy, it is about controlling small powers. I am not suggesting conspiracy but strategic interests in Zambia,” Dr Kalumba said.
He congratulated President Banda on scooping the MMD presidency at the party’s national convention.
“It is not an imposition, it is the way the membership reads the party and the leadership maturity that President Banda has exhibited.
[pullquote]“When the late President Mwanawasa came to power, he had issues with the former president, Dr Chiluba, and that takes away from the country. But President Banda is taking over the MMD in a civilised manner, with no quarrels or beef with anyone,” Dr Kalumba said.[/pullquote]
“President Banda is in the best position to be the leader of the party because he has no scores to settle with anyone,” Dr Kalumba said.
He said the change of leadership in 1991 was not smooth because there were many issues between former President Frederick Chiluba and Dr Kenneth Kaunda.
“When the late President Mwanawasa came to power, he had issues with the former president, Dr Chiluba, and that takes away from the country. But President Banda is taking over the MMD in a civilised manner, with no quarrels or beef with anyone,” Dr Kalumba said.
[Zambia Daily Mail]
Obviously , Dr Kalumba your are certainly biased because we know you support MMD and want it to stay in power now that your wife has replaced you in NEC. So it is a family affair.
Having said the above, I have to be objective and agree with you on your last point that past presidents like FTJ, LPM had scores to settle and RB has no scores to settle.
No doubt SATA will have score to settle and so will HH. These two will take us on another tax money shredding venture in the name of investigation which yields nothing as shown in the past on KK & Chiluba.
So I don’t want Zambia to spend the next 5 years chasing imaginary plunderers and making lawyers rich. My vote is on RB. Sorry bloggers. Go ahead and shot me now
Yah rite u must be the crayziest person. Who told u that the current party in power must bost to say we have done this n’ that, the party in power must show what they doing not to start working when the elections are near. You re sick together with MWALYA MWEKA DADDY (MMD). PF in power come september.
you have a point DR!!!
Katele this is good counsel. Indeed RB though has made certain visible mistakes, has no bone to chew with Maureen, FJT or Bamudala ba Ken. So indeed it is a fair decision to go for a uniter than a destroyer.(forget about intraparty differences)
KaKa, you have every reason to be grateful to Rupiah, you still crawl the earth. You should have been a jele boy by now.
politics of the belly
katele is in a vulnarable position and at his lowest moral standing ever,he can only sing a one sided song, that of RB.we know these chaps.
To me this bloger is misinterpreting his position i dont knw why katele is adamant to change when in fact th purpose of forming mmd ws about change, wht goes arovnd comes around, the question we can ask ourself whts the meaning of mmd? To mmd thz a movement for multiparty means many party can take over gorverment i dnt knw wht phylosophy hs trying to preach tht mmd ìs no lönger a movement but come here to stay, zambians wake up or change the name frm mmd to somethng tht wil suit yo phylosophy mr alumini
change is coming to zambia this year, we have already decided to change. VIVA SATA……PA BWATOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
The Citizens Forum has charged that the promise in the MMD manifesto indicating that it will review the mining tax system is impossible.
Citizens Forum executive secretary Simon Kabanda says the time to review the mining tax system by government is now.
Mr. Kabanda says it is impossible for the MMD to start campaigning on such a policy when there have failed to implement the calls by Zambians to reintroduce the windfall tax.
In the 2011 elections the MMD plans to include tax review in the mining industry to ensure the country benefits from the mineral wealth and also put together strong regulatory frameworks for the protection of mine workers.
Some of the main points in the manifesto include enhanced exploration of energy resources such as oil, gas and uranium while a strategy would be formulated for the mining of coal for thermal power production to meet local and regional demand.

Expelled UPND member Colonel Panji Kaunda says it is sad that his former party could not accept his personal views over the party’s chances of winning this year%u2019s elections.
Colonel Kaunda has told Qfm that he will continue telling people to vote for Patriotic Front leader Michael Sata in the forthcoming elections because he is the only potential presidential candidate.
He adds that he will continue to encourage unity among Zambia ahead of this year%u2019s polls as it is the only way the Movement for Multiparty Democracy MMD can be removed from power.

Sick’ Sata fails to climb Lotti house stairs
Thursday, April 14, 2011, 19:08
News51 commentsPatriotic Front (PF) leader Michael Sata Thursday failed to climb the stairs of Lotti House where he was scheduled to feature on 5fm Radio.
Sata who went to the building discovered that the elevators were down and the only alternative was to climb the stairs to the ninth floor where the radio station is located.
Sata, who was born in 1937 attempted to go as far as the third floor before going back saying he could not. He told the radio station management and his escort team that he has a medical history that does not allow him to undertake such strenuous activities.
The radio station was forced to cancel the programme despite the heavy advertisement that preceded it.
In April 2008,…
Change is always good for development thats why most developed countries are where they are today there is nothing wrong with changing govt now and if new govt does not perform we change it as the electorate. The only problem we have is that we have a tendency of undoing what has been done by a previous leader e.g corruption fight has taken a 360 degree turn how can we progress as a nation like this.
In April 2008, Sata suffered a heart attack and was hospitalized in South Africa forcing him to stop chain-smoking.
“I would have been dead if President Mwanawasa did not personally intervene to ensure my evacuation to South Africa for specialist treatment”, Sata said when he returned from intensive care.
Sata will be seeking to be elected president of Zambia for the fourth time later this year having lost the bid three times.
The Zambian constitution requires that a person seeking the office of president must be mentally and physically fit as the Zambian presidency is not ceremonial.
Zambia’ third president Levy Mwanawasa ignored advice from doctors and and other well meaning citizens that he was too sick to hold the office of president. He died in office mainly due to…
Dr. Kalumba the whole Zambia nodes to your wise counsel. Hatred does not and has never built a village or nation instead, it eats and kills the hater himself. Today we see Sata’s degrading with a heart attack because it has suffered incorrigible hatred for Zambians.
so even so called educated people are capable of talking cr.ap?
Pa bwatoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo:d\:d/:-\”
I can’t believe that even educated people can sink so low and lose their dignity just for the sake of filling their bellies. Just one question ba Katele, then why did we have to change to from UNIP to MMD in 1991? Why didn’t we just stay with KK forever? This time ubwato nabwabuka as rightly put it by #14. This propanda won’t work. Its Sata or RB will be like Gbagbo
THE REAL CHANGE IS ON HH ONLY,ALL THIS MADALAS THEY HAV BEEN THERE IN UNIP,MMD AND NOW YOU AR SAYING THEY CAN BRING CHANGE,WHAT KIND OF CHANGE CAN THEY BRING NOW THAT THEY FAILED TO DO IN ALL THOSE YEARS THEY HAV BEEN IN GRZ TALK OF SOMETHING ELSE NOW IS HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Belly filling politics, with unbelievable braggadacio by one, “kaka, the night flier”, faster than a shooting star whose sole purpose is to survive the tumultousness of political upheaval at all costs!
I can advice mr kalumba to counsel his family not the zambians, because we zambians we atre not interested in that f oolishness counselling…shame
If somebody in authority lets you off the hook it is only natural you should be grateful. FTJ and Katele understand this very well.
HH AND PAKUBOKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CHABE IDIYE REAL CHANGE NOT OLD UNIP CHAPS NO.
My goodness, this guy has just lost my respect, change is good for any democracy and at the end of the day it’s really up to the people. Without change the executive feels like the office is personal to holder. Lets wipe out this crop of politicians they all seem to have corrupt minds.
useless counsel, go and tell that to your friends. Zambians are ready for change whether you like it or not mr laptop.
It is human nature to be bias towards what we consider ours. But it takes a deliberate decision to remain objective, this is called emotional intelligence. Katele is bias towards MMD and now he wants to stop change, the very cause which brought MMD into picture. Katele too bad your MMD has lost touch with the dreams and aspiration of the many Zambians. This year Kuyabebele. I am okay with RB since he did experience this under the UNIP time in 1991.
Katele should stop telling us about change simply because he has issues in court let give advice to his kids who the hell does think he is after all his place is behind bars, do not tell us nonsence!
Nipa bwaaaaaaaaaaato chabe ifwe. Tinasanka kale ife.
This RB and Sata have been in politics since 1964, singing the same story, you are the future leaders. Pls give us a break this is our future. it time a young man takes on ZED. Viva HH, viva UPND
Sata is finished in Lusaka, UPND has massively subtracted his votes. Did you see HH rally in Kanyama?
The fear of change is the hallmark of backward societies.
Nonsense. Is this guy a convict or what?
Katele the plunderer/thief is not the right person to advise people and only MMD chaps need your useless advice anyway.
YES DEVELOPED COUNTRIES WANT GOVERNMENT CHANGE BECAUSE THEY KNOW RUPIAH AND MMD’s CORRUPTION. THE MONSTER TOLD THEM TO PACK THEIR BAGS AND GO,AND THEY ARE REALLY GOING,BUT WE THE POOR NEED THEIR MONEY IN HOSPITALS AND SCHOOLS.
VOTE SATA COME 2011.
Ba Katele prison has taught you one or two…but you are finished kanalesa….change is inevitable to couple with the changing world….. MMD has been promising poor Zambians a better Zambia and to date they complain about poor service delivery and you insist they should not change and make few MMD chap rich….is that the advice!!! Am disappointed….if you want a job don’t use it on the expense of the poor…oh is it you did not think about them rather fatting MMD politicians…Shame on you
#7 you are a genious. As you satete, the MMD was formed in order to promote democracy. According to the original MMD philosophy, in the long run, every Zambian is suppossed to believe that they can be the next president, and a good one for that matter. In keeping with this philosophy, the MMD should be focussing on creating institutions that efficiently manage the change of power as expressed by the ballot. There should be no fear of elections within and without MMD. That is what MMD stands for and should be its legacy.

If people want change no demons in hell will tell them to think otherwise.Who is Katele to advise people not to change government?MMD has failed to in the last 20 years it has been in office. There has been high levels of unemployment and rampart corruption during its reign.Katele has been a beneficially of the loot that MMD has been doing. It will the worst mistake to continue with MMD for another term.Banda claims to be a president of all but the opposite is true. The man is very vindictive and does not allow progress in his party. If Movement of Mad Dogs is given another term, corruption, backwardness and poverty will be the order of the day.Change is inevitable. We need to inject new blood in political system. The current blood is infected with corruption and nepotism. The best is to drain it.
Katele what do you mean ati RB doesn’t have beef with anyone? What about Mr Bombastic
Mpombo? What do you call what is happening to him? Ulishilu sana iwe Doctor Chiengi Laptop ayi?
KATELE is driving Zambia into the hands of the GADAFI style of governance As long as MMD is in office KATELE earns free meal and sympathy from MMD. KATELE championed DEMOCRACY ,today he is seeing Zambians as fools to abandon it for the ever more for him to stay in government and corridors of power by RB/MMD and KATELE.
ZAMBIANS, BY VOTING MMD YOU ARE AGREEING WITH KATELE THAT YOU ARE FOOLS WITH SHORT MEMORY.
FTJ had scores to settle against KK, LPM had score to settle against FTJ, RB had a score to settle with LPM+LPM ministers,SATA has a score against LPM and FTJ.
HH HAS NO SCORE WITH ANY OF HIS OLD FATHERS AND FORMER PRESIDENTS.HH IS DEFINATELY IN A BETTER POSITION FOR ZAMBIA TO UNITE AND DEVELOP,that is why HH had sacrificed to work for SATA. B
As already stated, Katele brother, when it suited you you advocated for change. Infact the MMD stands for freedom of choice by Zambians.
KATELE is driving Zambia into the hands of the GADAFI style of governance As long as MMD is in office KATELE earns free meal and sympathy from MMD. Katele, Nonsense ma rubbish. I met you last week in the Bank and it was a piteous sight. change is coming closely, closer and closest with the real man HH who doesn’t smile anyhow unlike other leaders who laugh at all times even a passing of a fly. A leader is suppose to strategically and serious thinking all the time. VIVA HH VIVA ZAMBIA
It is only few months to go when all the PF Vuvuzeras will cry. Their leader will again collapse and taken to RSA. Whether they sing a song of lawino, PF will come third position this year. RB will enjoy his 5 year term with more development throughout the country while HH and UPND will be the Government in waiting. This year is voting to injure while 2016 will be for the New Generation to take the mantle. The many holes the Boat has will keep on increasing. Please PF Kaponyas, dont ferry your Cadres to our beautiful Ceremony and what we want is peace.
phone rings- this is RB, Katele- Yes sir, Thank you 4 putting my wife on the NEC, RB- its for tit 4 tat, u have 2 toe the party line, Katele-iam ready sir anyday anytime if you say jump, the only question i will ask is how high. RB-you know the situ is not good this year for us MMD even those fools who vote for us in WP have gone home 2 the river transport (if you know what i mean i dont like saying that word -boat), Katele- i understand sir i will issue a very strong statement today all i need is the press to be organized. RB interjects- thats not a problem. Katele- i will do it sir i will do it. RB – Katele (silence 4 about a minute-its bad manners to cut off from the president if he hasnt cut the line) remember u shld have bin rotting somewhere in a not so good place called chimbokaila
The reasoning of many bloggers here always bog me. The other day, Panji was exercising his democratic right and he was called names. In the same vein, Katele is exercising his democratic right and he has been given the same dosage. What is wrong with us bloggers? Is what we write or our opinions the only things that count? We are all entitled to our opinions, safe to say we are all biased towards our political leanings. i have never seen an educated lot like all you fellow bloggers who easily take to insults to justify your opinions!
Ba Kaka wesu, doesnt RB have beef with Mulongoti for deciding to challenge his lame-duck Vice President? Doesnt RB have beef with Dr. Mahtani? Anyway, we know you are pleading for an acquittal but just know you are a threat to RB so you wont get the acquittal.
Ba Kaka wesu just read the statement made by Dr. Chituwo on change some two weeks ago, he analysed the issue better than you. Just to remind you, he said that sometimes people decide to vote for change and there is nothing one can do about it if people decide that way. I think he was being very objective and frank in a weird way considering he is a cabinet minister.
kaponyas no proper direction thy jst follow okwalola omwela pliz tak SATA and other KAPONYAS fo night schools ba kasambilile not ukulashitisha ama plastic papers pliz tenchito iyo.we ar going forward now no more old unip fellers we ar in a new direction which is not seen by kaponyas but very soon they will see it,our research is done now.
Mawe! Listen to the one who is talking.
Senior citizen, you can go to hell with your RB and MMD, if you are one of the beneficiaries of this corrupt and immoral Government then injoy whilest you can because we are kicking out your RB and MMd this year, and some you will find yourselves behind bars if not in self exile
If you focus on results, you will never change…………………………….If you focus on change, you will get results.
KATELE just shatterup, if u want just support your Bemba relative SATAN or concetrate on your voodoo magic. You think we have forgotten!! VIVA REAL CHANGE! VIVA HH! VIVA UPND!
Mwanawasa only heeded what the zambians want. How do you rate someone who was curbing abuse of public funds as having beef. Please let’s think like educated pipo. It’s not about hatrad but protecting national coffers that plundering. It hates to see our taxes being shared amongst greed pipo. African leaders can we learn from western countries please.
What is this criminal talking about, its only in Zambia were criminals are given space in the media to blow there vuvuzelas, anyway Dr kalumba you will pay and please bring back what you store for the poor majority we have not forgeten together with Chiluba and please be honest to yourself and feel ashemed you criminal it wont be well in the next four months.
from this speach we deduce that mmd has started sensing the wind of chnage. although mmd members they donot want to accept openly but deep inside themselves are feeling it that why are doing everything possible to destroy the strong challenger sata.
Zambia needs change but there is surely no alternative to MMD at the moment, we might just go from bad to worse, we need to be very careful. Dr Kalumba could be right, lets face the facts people.
#59 JAY-LODGE.
Zambians/bloggers cherish human rights,BUT not to the extent where questionable or non -questionable people want THEM AND only themselves must be portraying that it is only them who came from GOD ,and portray to KNOW IT ALL AS LONG AS IT SUITES THEM. Protect and guard your soul, reasoning, energy and mind against politicians for their own expediency.DON’T BE ADDICTED TO SUPPORTING RB/MMD,HH/UPND,SATA/PF,PRIVATE OR PUBLIC media lest they abuse you. BUT YOU MUST VOTE. Based on principle and free of corruption and no character assasination or insults or propaganda vote HH and support PVT.
I have great respect for Dr. Katele Kalumba, while i agree with some of his thoughts, i also want to argue with him. He has firstly been politically crippled becoz of his conviction and as things stand , he is not going even to be eligible to stand in Chiengi till after 5 years, He has been sacrificed so for him is to cheer RB. Again RB has issues with the people of Zambia, he has let Chiluba off the whook, he presided over the corrupt acquisition of Zamtel, He has been presiding over brutal police killing innocent people in Mongu, Mazabuka and intimidation. So he has issues with us the people, therefore, the concept of governament change is important this year. Above all, he is presiding over the Party that has been in power for 20 years and as Zambians we have alot of issues with MMD.
#59, the reason why both are being blasted is because they are deigning to advise ‘Zambians’. all Zambians then have the right to answer them. though i agree with you that the trend to resort to insults in any dispute is very worrying among bloggers. even if one is in the right, you can end up losing all support with a trash mouth. politics of the belly indeed #5, lol
LAST AND DESPERATE KICKS OF A DYING GOAT
what is he talking about after plundering the zambian resources. He thinks we have forgotten what they have done to us. MMD is a group of thieves! We need change and not just change but real change. We equally not need those who served in three govt. VIVA HH! NIPAKWANJA CHABEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
For give him. He need corrupt people to protect him from corruption cases he is facing. Please Kalumba, pay back wat you stole from the Zambians and leave them decide the fate i.e., change government or not. Shame on you
Look Now. A Thief just like FTJ lecturing us on Democracy, the very philosophy that forbids people stealing and the exact opposite to what Katele Did he stole from Us.He relinguished his post of national Secretary of MMD in order to please RB. So that RB can push for his goon and this will help secure Katele’s freedom, to be pardoned.
Katele, jail awaits You KaKa.
Even Anti-MMD hate mongers have pick up the signals that no single opposition party on its own can dislodge the ruling MMD. That is the reason the opposition are now resorting to underhand methods like Parallel Voter Tabulation so that they can declare themselves winners. Some of these people like Catholic bishops are disconnected from reality and it is a sad indictment for the Post to be giving Sata and NGOs an overdose of political adrenaline.
# 74, dying goat, not horse, kekekekekekekekekkekekekeke, LOLEST!
Katele is definately desperate to stay out of jail through protection by RBish. However, I can with confidence confirm that the likes of him, Chiluba and Chungu will shortly have a life of a chicken without feathers on a cloudy and windy july morning. As # 64 mmd proper has correctly put it some of you will shortly find yourselves in jail, having heart problems and of course self imposed exile! By the way, we will ensure all those who have misappropriated funds are prosecuted, because that is the only way a responsible and proper government should behave. However, the persecution of the likes of Mpombo will not be tolerated. VIVA PF, VIVA MCS, MWAMUKOLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Katele is wrong to think that CHANGE is bad. Every change comes with a risk – but a better life cannot be created without taking calculated risks. One risk the Zambian people need to take boldly this year is to remove the MMD. We have given the MMD 20years of reign – all they can show for it is to concentrate money in the few hands of their friends leaving our villages and compounds poor.
Rupiah was launching mobile hospitals in Chongwe the other day when at only 60Km from Chongwe lies a village called Namanongo. They have no clinic there – the nearest clinic is 25Km to a place called Chinyunyu – this is inspite of the fact that Sable helped the community to build a clinic a building that is just now going to waste. CHANGE MUST COME!!
we need HH if we should develop, full stop
In Sata, there is no evidence of the sheerest prospect of change but on the contrary what we see in him is the overwhelming trait that he is one who Zambians will not hold to account. The evidence, as plain as it is, is that Sata is at variance with Democracy and given the opportunity to have the Power invested in the Presidency, no one should doubt how he would choose to abuse it. The support accruing to him is mainly from tribal supremacists who careless the actual negative traits visible in Sata but only to satisfy that ego that one of their own is President.
No one needs to be reminded of Sata’s misdeeds which are evident enough in his current make-up. Should the nation ignore the fact that Sata is the one who was championing the 3rd term bid for Chiluba? Should Zambians play down how this same Sata armed thugs with guns and machetes to harm and maim innocent people whose only crime was the exercise of their right to choose whom they wished? Should we Zambians risk our children’s future into the hands of despots?
There every reason to be concerned that a section of Zambians have no intentions to honestly reflect on whose hands they want to place the future of this nation save for their egoistic and selfish appetites. It is highly irresponsible for a media organization that aught to champion freedom and democracy going ahead to abrogate this mandate to champion clear and naked despots. The only grounds that Sata has a following at all is not anything to do with his achievements but simply ignorance and bigotry and of all people this is pathetic ground that this media organization is using to spearhead their support of this despot.
BREAKING NEWS……. the 75year old man has been admitted suffering from a premature ejaculation after a gay action with past newspaper. And in the same development HH has dumped the patient. VIVA no smiles anyhow only serious matters. HH nipatali mwana,Hey lets go its about time with HH.
It’s only in Zambia where you have CONVICTS who are supposed to be in prison for crimes against humanity, talking about national issues. Kalumba, you are a plunderer, a wizard, a thief, and a blutant liar. You have no shame at all.
But it’s too late for you now. BA POMPWE, mwatuchisha pafula. You have stolen enough. The way change became inevitable in 1991, it is the same this year.
bamudala ba katele icibemba citila ‘mumbwe pakulila ninshi pali uko ashintilile amatako’. well a convict like you cannot advocate for change in the midst of nolle prosecuis.
I just want to know who the chi dollie in the picture is?
mwaca hande hape. protect your source of livelihood. niswabile.
JAY-LOGIC #59..got a point..and y do we always have to use hate speech..and its obvious and common sense..mmd will win again..blogging crap wont help, mobolosie yourselves instaed of being armchair critics and clearly most bloogers are in diaspora..with no clue of whats happening back home..mostly when i check out this site i particularly check for comments form bloogers who are in zed..diapsora cats are so loud y dont you go back home and be as loud and implement all the things u sing about..
LOL those of us old enough to remember when MMD came into power it was the concepy of “change” that was the driving force; now it is this same change they are afraid of…tsk tsk politicians I tell you…..
#24 Galamukani, “The Zambian constitution requires that a person seeking the office of president must be mentally and physically fit as the Zambian presidency is not ceremonial.”. Thank you for the medical update, but please donchi kubeba ba Chief Justice, he may disqualify ba shikulu ba Sata. Mr Sata is wanted to receive a massive no vote.
Honestly, what sort of change would any honest person call for if it means giving power to Mr Sata? Replacing corruption with corruption? Replacing democracy with dictatorship? Do you a Gadaffi or Mubarak here? Come on guys, have a heart for your country for a change.
#93 thankyou….can we seriously consider real change not the old tired guards…
In 1991 it was a concept of just the word change but not economic change we want now. Thats why HH says we need to develop building blocks like American, whereby whatever good programs the incambant was doing we continue and just improve on them as we eliminate the bad and unsuitable ones. The problem with Chiluba and Sata in that regime was that they wanted to destroy even the good things Kaunda was doing right, and in their quest to remain in power. These guys were really drunk with power such that they were full of rhetoric and not action. They never built a single hospital only destroying what KK left. I like HH because what he says is sensible and viable, not this Sata thing which can just take us back to just consumption without production. Viva HH you are the one we need.
HH represents the change we want. He is knowledgeble economically, he knows how to live in the diaspora as he was there before, hence some of us will really benefit from his services. Mr Banda was outside the country just as a diplomat, and not one who knows the real life out here. HH knows what investment is as he moved from Diaspora to invest at home and became one of the richest in the country. He will really represent the change we want, not voting for one who has no knowledge about the economy, no wonder they lay a red carpet on every marketeer who visits Zambia that he/she is a foreign investor. Zambians we need change to the better not to the waste in Sata who does not even know anything about the Economy, his education level is so low to say the least. Viva HH 2011.
To all you PF lazy bones. You are supposed to have a plan for you life and not think life is about RB distributing mealie meal to you. For you career failures, do not blame RB. It is because of yourself. Benchmark yourselves against the hardworking guys and pick up yourselves. No government is going to feed you. You are merely looking for someone to blame for your failed careers. I would advice some of you who think you can cause war in Zambia just because you have lost an election to learn from the barotse boys whose moral rose to a point that they thought they would have their voilent way.
#59 Jay-Logic. I understand what u are saying. Have u realized that some people in Zambia want to sound like they are authorities in certain spheres of life or subjects and must be listened to, and others should acquiesce. This is the case of Katele and Panji. Let the people have the last say through the poll. No one should preempt change if its inevitable. It is the way we will manage change that will matter.
Ba Katele we understand u, they are still issues befo our courts of law and u will do everything to stay outside, however while we simpathise with u, time for change has come, and your RB is going. You were presidential material but u chikened out, probably if u had come out things wud have been beta than they are now.
katele plz do not mislead us like yourself. you can not buys your days by your comments.all the best zambia is watching.
someone tells me pa zed it not fair, how many pipo are suffering from hunger in spite of pumper harvest? how many teachers are in each school? who is enjoying the economic benefit? 10 per cent of zaambian population enjoyed the whole country income, it is fair. Dora you dump Folotiya for…………………cash………………how many ……you going to dump? you re not a teacher to tell the teachers what they should do.
this katele is one of the bad guys who have caused zambia to be there way it is were rigging en corruption are concerned
