Fifa Speaks On No Confidence Vote

Share

Fifa has seemingly given closure to Saturday’s contentious announcement over the withdraw of the no confidence vote motion.

Mazabuka united withdrew the motion 48 hours before the Faz AGM at Mulungushi Rock polarizing the two factions even further.

According to a Fifa media communiqué, Mazabuka United’s decision to withdraw the no confidence vote from the agenda was valid.

“…the same member that had tabled the motion which decided to withdraw it and which requested this withdrawal in writing. FIFA has thus not to comment on that member’s decision,” the brief communiqué stated.

The letter to withdraw the motion that was sent to Football House on April 28 was co-signed by Mazabuka chairman club chairman Evans Mushiba and Moses Njovu.

Mushiba later claimed he signed the letter under duress and has since reported the matter to the police.

  1. Do you expect anything sensible from FIFA? FIFA is full of individuals who cant earn a livelihood without FIFA. None of those chaps in FIFA can work for a serious football association like UEFA.

  2. case closed, great kalu still drbbling as he did on the pitch,i have just been watching the 1988 olympics in south korea, any way he used to dribble unfortunately kamanga continues to suffer with kalus dribbling this time not on the pitch but at mulungushi.ba kamanga kalaleni.eyes on the great kalu continues

  3. I think FIFA is a painful joke. The Zambian government should just withdraw us from this circus and dissolve FAZ accordingly. You honestly cannot allow this animal behavior lawlessness prevalent in FIFA to come to Zambia, awe sure, bu Gbagbo in FIFA bwacilamo. Any organisation that can condone such pathetic toilet acrobatics is not worthy of our membership.

  4. why do people want to argue unnecessarily. its a fact that there is a WRITTEN document withdrawing the motion which would have rendered any further discourse on it irrelevant and the outcome would have technically been invalid and unacceptable to some, another conundrum much like the resignation of those 3 faz executive members who set off this circus in the first place because some deemed this to have nullified kalu’s executive. this would have been just adding more chaos on an already confused situation and at the end of the day no one knows where the head and tail is. in my view, best way forward is for the rebels to swallow their pride, get down to work and upturn the tables in the 2012 elections, which are just 9 odd months away.
this actually brings me to this short sighted,

  5. Very disappointing to LT, you really tried to remove Kalusha. All your personal jealous is really terrible and poisonous to Zambians.

  6. immediate gratification mentality in zambian politics where opposition parties seemingly go to sleep for large periods of ‘ inter election’ time; for lack of a better term and only surface during the election year, and even then all they do is criticize, offer no policy alternatives and expect to win! i do not think this is a workable strategy. just saying….

  7. Maybe we request that the American Seals pay a visit to the homes of Kamanga and Simaata, for having plunged our beloved football into unprecedented confusions.

  8. I do not know why pipo shud ague about this? This sugar town boy withdrew the motion and theres written evidence about it, FIFA works on facts. Sugar man claims he signed the paper under duress and goes on to report to poilce after 7 days after. What makes us not suspect that he is being intimidated by the pipo that want Kalu out to go to police and report that he was forced to sign the doucument.

  9. Imitwe Shamano #13 thats how any rational observer would conclude. As for #2 Sepp Blatter worked for UEFA He now heads FIFA. To Kamanga and Shimata Why are you in a hurry? Elections are in seven months. Same as Sata Vs Kanitundila. Sata would be naive to call for a no confidence motion in parliament at this moment.

  10. Case closed! Now let us talk about soccer development! Simaata and Kamanga should wait until next year if they want to seek FAZ positions. I think the talk of a National Football League is just hogwash. Let the Kalu administration run soccer.

  11. These people should now move on. FAZ elections are less than a year away. Surely they can wait until then!!!

  12. Kalu was on Radio Metro(RSA) this week and he spoke very well. Robert Marawa asked him questions about this all saga and without any doubt he has not committed any offence that warrant him to step down. He mentioned that whenever they met with the other camp, they fail to bring up the issues allegedly to have been done by Kalu’s administration. It is purely more personal.

  13. Lets move on people. we can’t be lingering around this issue for ever. FIFA provided a life line for simaata and kamanga faction but they mismanaged it. they were careless and allowed Great Kalu to dribble them again. so lets all accept to move on even if we do not like Kalu. lets not make our game suffer coz of selfish agenda’s.

  14. Great kaluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. Simata and Kamanga just accept defeat. not even kabwe worriors where kamanga is a chairman support his dubious deeds. what more FIFA? anyway Simata is broke so he is using kamanga since he has a sound pocket. And you Mr kamanga wake up and realise that this chap chi simata is just after your cash, nothing more.

  15. This is what will happen to HH. Voters in MAZABUKA are pretending to be supporting him but will change at last minute!!! Mark the name ‘Mazabuka’!!

  16. My view on this is that its good ridance for the arrogant simaata. he wants to bring his personal differences with great Kalu to football. swallow your pride simaata and accept defeat. besides those chaps who resigned did so because Kalu closed their loop holes of cash in FAZ buy signing the nike deal! Pivoty Simwanza was sole supplier of jerseys to the team so he lost big flow of cash by Kalu signing the nike deal. Kalu just seems to be great administrator who doen’t want to wash dirty linen in public. he has never wanted to mention this in public but he knows thats the reason ka Pivoty or isit Effort resigned thereby influencing other who were also benefiting to resign. Viva Great Kalu!!!!

  17. Let us pray for unity we need to win a major tournament. How can Angola and Togo go to the World Cup before Mighty Zambia – Disunity and pettiness.

  18. For two full grown men to claim that they signed under duress – a letter they understood to be a withrawal of their motion – defeats all commen sense. Mushiba should stop pretending and lying. Let us move on with Kalusha’s FAZ and all those who want changes at FAZ, 2012 is nigh.

  19. How can a self-respecting man even have the no shame in admitting that he signed a document under duress. What a coward! This case is now closed. Too much empty rhetoric pa ZED!

  20. Please keep RB out of the Faz-Kamanga monkey circus. Who does not know that Simataa is PF ?

  21. It is time this Simata-Kamanga Resurgence came to an end. We need to deal with more fruitful pursuits other than satisfying power hungry people. There is a lot of work to do in Zambian soccer. I would advise Great Kalu to go to work and ignore these two morons. People will judge you on your work at FAZ and not on how much you dribbled this duo. Good luck

  22. Wish to bring to the attention of my Kalu loyalist friendz the fact that sanitizing/disinfecting FAZ doez not necessarily mean bringing in Kamanga and Simataa. A the situation standz now, we could even have a frog take over Football House for all I care, and so stop calling the two faction leaders namez, az they are mere front runnerz.

  23. #27 Mukango, Well said. I lived in Ndola with this bloke called Pivoty Simwanza. The guy is nothing but a dubious dealer in replica jerseys and is basically a Jerabo. Pivoty can not finish a sentence in English. I wonder who interprets for him whenever he is quoted in the papers. Simata is a sole LOSER.
Kamanga probably knows that HERB will lose this year’s election and thus can not wait and do deals like his relation ‘JIMBO’.

  24. RB can put his dirty hands in the ministries and govt owned firms . Let him be informed that FAZ is autonomous ,him being at the helm of power wil not bring negligible footbal administraters like Kamanga into Faz administration. Wat would you wud have luved Fifa to make a parralell ruling regarding a withdraw of the vote of no confindence. I can forgive Lusaka Time and the Post for pulling the rope in Kamanga’s way ,has they have showed lack of vivid knowledge in the field of soccer . Lt has actually been pro govt of late and generally becoming uninteresting comparably.

  25. If u are living in USA please get proper papers before you are caught in the impending dragnet. I understand some of you would travel to USA for a workshop and disappear into thin air at the close of workshop, behaving like some footballers in one of these african countries. How true is that?

  26. #35 i.diot we are not toking about U.S.A we are toking about football in Zambia. Who cares about U.S.A. Let me tell u friend some of us are happy here in Zambia. Why shud we travel to USA!!!!. Pse dont divert pipos attention, okey

  27. # 25 devil – BOLA NI BOLA, POLITICS ARE POLITICS….YOU THINK TUKABALEKA THIS TIME……THE CHIEF RIGGER IS OUT OF THE EQUATION, PVT IS IN MOTION,….NOT THIS TIME MY FRIEND……
