Government has announced more account numbers at commercial banks where donations to Dr Chiluba’s funeral can be channeled by well wishers.
The banks where the latest accounts have been opened are Finance bank, Zambia National Commercial Bank-ZANACO, Stanbic and Standard Chartered Bank.
The additional account numbers are 0014983815004 for Finance Bank, 0030210000008758-ZANACO, 0140035538301 -Stanbic and 0100712938300- Standard chartered Bank.
Chief Government Spokesperson General Ronnie Shikapwasha says the accounts are, in addition to account number 0013723005960, at the Bank of Zambia-BOZ.
General Shikapwasha says all donations towards Second Republican President Frederick Chiluba’s funeral will be fully accounted for.
He says the account name at all the banks is State Funeral Fund-Dr. FTJ Chiluba.
This is contained in a statement released to ZNBC News in Lusaka on Thursday.
You know the companies which are making heft profits at the expense of the poor Zambian.Just follow them and ask for donations. For us zambians the 2 million Kwacha Plus is more than enough for this funeral

Our opposition parties are also sleeping. This is a grave error by the Government to ask for donations when the man was dogged with corruption charges. Email Print Patriotic Front (PF) Leader, Michael Sata has described as cheap politicking insinuations that he is sick.
Online media publications have recently reported that Mr Sata is sick and that the PF is since searching for a possible presidential candidate.
However, Mr Sata has exclusively told MUVI TV News an exclusive interview that the insinuations are part of cheap propaganda.
He has since dispelled reports of ill health saying the rumours are aimed at tarnishing his image ahead of this year’s general elections.

Indo-Zambia Bank (IZB) limited has contributed K45 million towards the late President Levy Mwanawasa’s state funeral expenses.

Dear Zedians, Don’t u think that this’s another way of fund raising for VJ’s vote-rigging tactics? I’m not sure on how transparent and accountable the administrators of the Fund shall be.
