Luangeni Member of Parliament Angela Cifire has dismissed rumours that she has resigned from the ruling MMD.
Ms Cifire who is also information and Broadcasting Services Deputy Minister has described the speculations as unfounded.
She told ZNBC News in Luangeni Thursday morning that she has no intentions of resigning from the MMD.
Ms Cifire who is on a tour of her constituency, has pledged her continued loyalty to the ruling party.
On Tuesday, MMD Chairperson for Elections Gabriel Namulambe and Labour Minister Austin Liato also dismissed as false speculations that they had intentions to leave the MMD.
Mr Namulambe wondered why some people were peddling lies about him when he holds positions as cabinet minister and party chairperson for elections.
And Mr Liato said he and Mr Namulambe are still strong in their constituencies and wondered why they cherish the idea of ditching the MMD.

I think the people who say there will be a mass exodus from the MMD once parliament is dissolved and election date announced. This is causing the president sleepless nights and panic.

A minister who says that “there is nothing sweeter than being a full cabinet minister” is not a good Minister. Why calling for prayers for Zambia in Washington DC. Let Ms Shiela Siwale, Ben Kangwa and others pray for the MMD to win to keep their jobs. I have never heard diplomats accredited to Zambia praying for their countries as they go to elections. All I hear are functions for their national days. Why are we Zambians pretend to behave as though we are the only annoited pipo on earth such that each we kneel down and offer prayers God answers them instantly. We neet to have unfailing faith in the Almighty God as we offer our petitions and prayers all time and not only remember him when things are not going our expectations. That is being unfaithful. May the embassy staff if tghey know MMD will out start packing their katunda for Lusaka.
