Zambia’s peace and stability under direct threat

Chieftainess Nkomeshya exposes seeds when praying for rain

By D Maswahu:-

Please allow me to register a few stray thoughts with regard to Rupiah Banda’s threat (or is that a promise?) to dethrone Chieftainess Nkomeshya. There is some depth to this threat which all Zambians need to be aware of. It is no idle threat or the ranting of a mad man and we need must take heed.

Firstly, I am shocked that fellow chiefs particularly those of the paramount variety are keeping quiet like virgins threatened with deflowerment. Do they not realise that if the threat or promise materialises, tomorrow they will tail-between-legs be hounded out of their cockroach and rat-infested palaces at gun point??

Secondly, I am utterly astounded that the police and electoral commission (namely Kabonde and that woman who doesn’t need alcohol to loosen her tongue) are hiding behind their worn out desks and keeping silent as if their tongues are glued to the roof of their mouths with stolen peanut butter.

This is the principle consideration; we must all remember that before there was Zambia, long before there was Northern Rhodesia and the protectorate that preceded it there were scattered but very distinctive chiefdoms and kingdoms in the the same geographical locality cradled by the mighty Zambezi.

Zambia today exists as a very delicate mixture of the traditional and modern sovereigns. Both command power over who owns or has rights to land. Elementary forensic analysis will tell those paying enough attention that there is some corner of Chieftainess Nkomeshya’s backyard that Rupiah Banda wishes to allocated to or has promised some well-oiled foreign infestor for a pot of beans and a decent back-hand.

The two score or so period of MMD governance has been punctuated by glaring irregularities in land allocation that has passed over from the grasp of traditional rulers. In one word – greed. Land has been allocated to companies (of Chinese and other origin) and party sympathisers who are emotionally, materially and mentally imprisoned to fund the MMD campaign; they can not do otherwise as they are understandably protecting the miserable investments which they can not take into the next life. The money that these companies are providing the MMD behind our backs rightly belongs to the people of Zambia, high and low, chief and subject.

Please now allow me to speak directly. Listen closely as the courage to speak now may be blown away by a whirl-wind of cowardice.

[pullquote] I am utterly astounded that the police and electoral commission (namely Kabonde and that woman who doesn’t need alcohol to loosen her tongue) are hiding behind their worn out desks and keeping silent as if their tongues are glued to the roof of their mouths with stolen peanut butter.[/pullquote]

With all due disrespect (which you have earned), President Rupiah Banda, have you and those in your camp become so desperate that you have forgotten your roots, that you must insult the seed from which all that we now enjoy comes from? You are so busy bribing us with what already belongs to us, you need to stop for a few minutes and contemplate the path your are treading. Because of the sovereignty vested in Chieftainess Nkomeshya, threatening her is tantamount to threatening all her subjects at one level and threatening every other traditional ruler and their subjects at another level. It is essentially an act of war, an invitation to violence, a call to arms. Lucifer lost his place in heaven because of treading exactly the same path you are now treading; his greed for more and more ended in unrestrained and open violence against the same individual who provided the wealth he enjoyed – the Creator himself.

General Miyanda is only partially right is demanding and immediate and urgent apology – that apology must be extended to all of us at home and abroad. And ultimately to his Creator if he still believes in one. President Banda is by these remarks is directly fuelling and fomenting violence and the law must take it’s course in order to preserve the peace that we all value. Failure to register an unreserved and sincere apology (which we have the right not to accept) should have the administrators of the law swiftly knocking at Bwezani Banda’s door. He has by this single threat disqualified himself for the high office of president and what remains is for those who know that their allegiance is to the people of Zambia to do the needful.

That campaign money from mining companies and parastatals has the name Zambia not Rupiah Banda on it. Those hospitals and roads, it is simply the duty of your office and you expect us to demonstrate thanks by voting you back into office? Please tell me, tell us what you did to raise the demand and price of copper and related metals on the world metal markets since you are so keen on taking credit for something that you had absolutely nothing to do with beyond the accident of being born Zambian which same accident we all share with you.

If you do not feel shame after my very strong words, the greed and subsequent violence that is in your heart will be multiplied many many times. Is this the legacy, the inheritance that you honestly wish to leave us in your twilight years? The violence that visited the late  Ronald Penza was not random and those privy to the background of that assassination would do well to remember him.

My fellow Zambians, these are the few simple thoughts I have to share with you. May the God of peace be with all of us and give us the heart to forgive our elder brother and father if he arrives at that point in his thoughts.

And to General Miyanda, I must acknowledge your wisdom in advising reconciliation. Please do not give up hope even though there were more damaged votes than people who voted for you at the last election. There is much wisdom in a united opposition and we would be all the better if this was the case.

  1. Excellent article and timely advice to RB and his MMD thugs! Give respect to our traditional rulers and you will hve our respect as well.

  2. Walasa mambala. We need peopl, like you, chieftainess nkomesha  cjief broght nalubamba. Not, mu paramount who has been corrupted bu mn y brown envelopes.

  3. Banda never threatened Nkomesha with dethronment at any time. He only councelled her. In fact it was Nkomenshe who has been threatening her Chiefs, who she felt supported Banda, with dethronment. Our press, both public and private, always distort facts to suit their pay masters.

  4. The President simply warned the Chieftainess to respect the democratic rights of her subjects. He probably said just a little of whatever information is available to him, so let’s not embarass the poor lady anymore is necessary.

  5. \:d/ excellent article. Zambians be careful with RB you just don’t know what his committing this country to. Money used in campaigns is way to huge to be raised by MMD dinner dances or card membership. this fooll is selling this country right b4 our eyes stupidly some aSSs lickers are busy licking his bum for money like posts from those that senselessly support the Ndebele

  6. Typical of incompetent leaders, they rule with threats! Instead of outlining what his vision is for Chongwe, the guy goes there to issue threats to the chief.

  7. So according to this writer, Nkomeshya who is got her position by accident of birth and is in fact unelected should be free to victimise and intimidate Zambian citizens who live in Chongwe district but do not share her political views? So Nkomeshya’s right are more sacrosanct than those of the people she is threatening and her abuse of power and nepotism should be tolerated? As far as I can see, RB has cultivated very good relationships with the various traditional leaders in the country – Litunga, Gawa Undi, Mpezeni, Nawaitwika, Mukuni, Ishinde, Chitimukulu, Mwata, so what is so special about Nkomeshya who rules one of the smallest chiefdoms in the country? I think the president would be failing in his duty if he did not remind Nkomeshya that she is not above the law.

    • Bribing and cultivating are two different things. Banda does not cultivate anything at all. He pays for friendship and relationships. Check your records bwana. Don’t be blinded with bu Cadre.

    • What is so disgusting is that the royal highness according to press reports refused to meet the President at her palace before he held the public rally in her chiefdom. The President recognized the royal highness and this is a display of respect to the traditional leader. Her refusal amounted to disrespect to the head of state elected by the people of Zambia. That disrespect is actually extended to all Zambians who entrusted the President with the responsibility to lead the nation.Perhaps that it is why the royal highness has even got the courage to intimidate her subjects which is tempering with their rights and freedoms that every Zambian should enjoy. Some issues could have been discussed on a one-on- one basis basis had the two leaders met.So RB is right in counseling to the t/leader.

    • Is it an obligation that she was supposed to meet a man that has neglected her area? Who said she must be used in his campaigns? He went to campaign not to meet her. If he wanted to meet her, it should have been done at the right time. She has a right not to meet anyone who she does not think is relevant in her life. It is like a woman you are dying for, they have a right to say NO. e choice beba bwana. And she chose to say not now bambo.

  8. #12 Typical pf behaviour when presented with facts that dispel their position – resort to crude insults.

  9. # 7(Abena George) Judas paid punk AaSS you’re not Soli that’s why you retard is busy justifying this foreigner with no village or chief. Check facts this shrek has no village he hails from no a chief who can say his from my kingdom that is why he can threaten a chief in Zambia he has no manner

  10. Is it right for this so called chiefteness to take away the right of her subjects to choose a leader of their choice?…..If it is wrong, then there is something seriously wrong with her.

  11. Now, I wonder who the villagers who have been threatened by Nkomeshya are going to vote for???
If the boat is so attractive and Masebo is speaking on behalf of the people of Chongwe, why the need for coercion to get them to vote for Satan? Maybe the results from Chongwe should be annulled as the elections have not been conducted in an environment that would be considered to be free and fair thanks to Nkomeshya and Masebo who seem to have adopted the PF way of doing things ie threats, violence and a complete refusal to accept and tolerate divergent views.

  12. First all this is a Good and well written article and proves that the author has been to school and probably beyond post graduate.

However, the disappointing part is that this MASWAHU boy has spent all his time and energy working with wrong information and that is very very sad indeed for an educated person.

Ast stated by some people above. RB NEVER EVER threaten your aunt with Dethronement. That was just a false and twisted deduction by the POST and sad that a learned mind like yours fell for it. Shame.

Read RB’s speech: All he said was the law will visit her if she threatens people. And in Zambia no one is above the law.

Should Chiefs abuse their subjects and get away with it and we keep silent just because some I D I O T called maswahu will write rubbish?

  13. #21 I dont need to play such childish games, I leave them to the likes of yourself because of your limited intellectual capacity and your ability to accept rumour mongering and blatant lies as the gospel truth as this case has highlighted.

    • Bwana, intellectuals do not use such psuedonyms. Unless you are really in the peripheries of the word intellectual. Just by your psuedo, we can tell your thinking capacity. In fact if you think like an intellectual, by this time it would have dawned on you that you are literally insulting these innocent ladies. More sweet, who told you that women or ladies must be sweet? They are not candies. Childish MMD mentality. You are the one who is really really childish.

  14. # 21 Your name is the childish game coz you insult people whom have done nothing wrong to you! …..and lets see who has limited intellect between you and me. People like you say loads about others and yet cannot even see your own flows even in your chosen name!!

  15. I personally find this article to be tentative [ author not sure of himself ],childish, fallacious and lacking in content. The author is oblivious of the fact that chiefs like any other leaders are hated. The author does not know that a chief like Mpezeni and Nkomesha can be bereft of integrity. Such chiefs can not go without being reminded of their short comings.Haven’t the author head of subjects revolvting against their kings or chiefs? Who is Nkomesha ?

  16. D Maswahu: we need more people like you in Zambia to stand up for the masses. You are a truly brave Zambian and I salute you. nice piece brother.
Rupiah must go. we don’t need such leaders in our land.

  17. # 21 you talk about capacity ….. okay… capacity comes from personal values – which you may not EVEN have given what I have highlighted about you! Your blood runs to your head too fast and then you say too much.

  18. Its better to be honest than cheat.

Chieftainess Nkomeshya has no right to intimidate and threaten headmen and her subjects. She does not have the right over the political choice of her people. Her people are Zambians and they are protected by the Bill of Rights in our constitution. By threatening her people because they support RB and MMD, she is breaking the Supreme Law of Zambia.

It was foolish of her to follow Masebo like a headless chicken into supporting PF without clearing it with her subjects first. The chieftainess is there to represent her people and not to suppress their views and opinions.

Well done RB! Well done for defending the rights of the people of Chongwe and giving voice to the voiceless who have been suppressed by the chieftainess’ cruelty to her people.

  19. You have clearly and sincerely expressed yourself. What you didn’t mention though for somebody who doesn’t know, is where, when, why and what exactly happened? You have written the truth though about these leaders thinking they are Gods when in actually fact they are nothing without the overall Zambian citizens

  20. Even though the article is extremely long, it is good.
But there is no one who can advise that ex-gang leader RB, a man who assaulted Kapwepwe. He has never ever apologized to anyone, except after insulting wife of DJ HH. There is no wise-man who insults women. And is Thandiwe still with him? Is she an orphan? Vera left Chiluba while at plot 1.

  21. # 32 …..yes here are serveral issues which have now culminated into this show down and it starts from demand for land, grabbed land (in court), patronage, domination, poverty/development rewards and where the chief has simply refused to be used and stood her ground and finally there is the threshold of the Masebo factor and the fear of loss of ground so near.

  22. #25 As I said, you have a low level of intellect and will not be able to see the irony in my use of the name ‘Bishop Mpundu’s Sisters are more sweet than Dr Kaseba’. Those with the capacity to think, realise exactly the point I am making but alas you are unable to do so due to insufficient brain power. In fact, I dont even know why am wasting my time with you and only hope you crawl back into the hole you came from.

  23. Let us be serious and talk issues here. What we are saying is that Sata once mounted Nkomesha just as he is doing it on Masebo. That is why Nkomesha is doing every thing to please sata. But Sata is going to be hit hard and clean. RB Nafuti, Rb nafuti, RB nafuti RB nafuti…………

  24. Ba LT why allow such a terrible article on your site ?This chap should have gone to write in the Post Shinda with its twister Fred Devil Mmeembe. As said above Nkomesha was kindly reminded that she not above the law.Whoever said she threatened been dethronged >Cheifs whoever they might be govern on behalf of the president of the Republic of Zambia who is this case is His Excellence Dr Rupiah Bwezani Banda .We fed with some this morally corrupt so called chiefs/chieftains drunkards. No one is above the law.

  25. I find this story very strange indeed, I personally listened to that rally and never did RB threatened that lady, in anyway, it is just because the Post as usual twisted the story as they are well known for twisting whatever Ruphia says which I think is very unfair, he simply guided her highness not to intimidate her subjects, I wonder what will happen to the Post what will happen after 20/9, because the Post will have no one write about as their candidate will have been thrown to the political archives

  26. CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT CHONGWE TOWNSHIP DESPITE BEING 30 MINUTES DRIVE FROM LUSAKA HAS NO INDUSTRY. ALL SCHOOL LEAVERS MUST WORK AS FARM LABOURERS. IT ONLY HAS ONE ATM AT FINANCE BANK. THE OTHER BANK IS NATSAVE. MOST RESIDENTS DRINK WELL WATER BECAUSE THE WATER FROM CHONGWE RIVER IS BROWN AND SUPPLY IS ERRATIC. THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE IT FACES IS JOB CREATION FOR LOCALS.

  27. Sata has written a letter to RB apologising for all the bad things he has said about RB begging him not to forget that they are Mbuyas when RB is inogurated on 21 september.” Aya ma politikisi fye mbuya .We are still friends, Mbuya.” E ba sata abo.

  28. #42 And pray tell us what the enlightened contribution from your ‘strong’ brain is regarding this matter?

  29. #35 with whatever brains you still think you have dont say why you insult people and call them dull. What is there to analyse?? It is common knowledge about Sata but what have the women done to you for you to use them in your alias and then you condemn the people who insult as typcal something ?? You think RB is any better and why should any body with brians like you as claim use RB’s women names to blog?? ANSWER mr brainy. You simply have no values and claim intellect – my word !! like i said your blood over floods your brain.

  30. Wapya munzi. Wina azafenta come 20th. The serpent’s lies will be exposed by Zambians. The President of all Zambians shall bruise the serpent’s head. VIVA RB President of all Zambians. chwechweeechwechweeeeelelelelelelelelllllelleeeeeeeeeee

  31. You who are supporting RB have something to smile about. Little do you know the destruction RB is causing to this country with his campaigns. Where are the so called mobile hospitals? spent a lot of money but those things soon will be white elephants. Is that a type of a leader you want? God will deal with him soon watch the space

  32. This article though well composed by my good friend Maswau, it lacks the fairness it should have carried. It is a blacket criticism of Rupia without looking at caused that Rb to say those words. Both Nkomeshya and Rupia were wrong and both need councelling as they are both leaders. Nkomeshya threatened her headmen with the same threat she recieved from RB because she and Masebo are friends. We know that Nkomeshya wants to be collecting a certain percentage on monies the government makes from the Lusaka international airport, Kafue gorge and other establishments that are dotted around her chiefdom. Instead of presenting that idea in a business like manner, she is doing it politically. What she should know is that RB will leave at one point and any decisions made politically will be challenged

  33. Dr Daniel Maswahu, take it easy my brother. The article is biased. Try to give credit to RB and the MMD they have tried and we know there is still more to be done. I know you support UPND and I am looking forward to your analysis on Sata! We miss you in the UK brother.

  34. You who is  abusing the Bishop and Sata’s name God will deal with you soon Do not think you are clever. You can hide to Man but not to God. If you insult God’s appointed authority then you are insulting God. Continue with your behavior.

  35. Leave Daniel alone. He is right. What has RB and his friends done? wasting a lot of our resources on the campaigns while the majority of our people are dying and you call that good leadership. If you are comfortable in UK  just shut your mouth. Go home and see the poverty in the compounds. Do you see that in the UK? SHAME ON YOU. Viva PF, Viva UPND

  36. In continuation to comment number 48, RB should also know that he is not an appointing authority of chiefs and therefore cannot remove Nkomeshya. If what Nkomeshya is agitating is workable then it must be extended to other chiefs in the copperbelt to start collecting a percentage from the all companies in copperbelt area. Iam sure chief Nkana s area will emerge the richest village in the whole of Zambia. We know that Mukuni from Livingstone does collct something from Sun hotels. So my dear writer of the article , look at all the pieces that brought about this wrangle and be fair in your approach to issues. At one point you will be a decision maker and should not be seen to take side. By the way, how are your studies progressing?

  37. #45 It is not me abusing the women in question but Satan who broke the sacrament of marriage with the bishop’s sisters and yet has the audacity to stand on a public platform and claim that the wife he has been unfaithful to is more beautiful than Dora Siliya! It is Sata who stood on a public platform and denounced Chiluba’s marriage to Regina when he has b.astard children with the Bishop’s sisters. In short, your Satan is a hypocrite and as somebody who wants to be president of Zambia, every aspect of his life is fair game especially when he is the one who revels in pointing fingers at others.

  38. #50 How can God punish me because of a bishop who supports adultery simply because his family members are involved? I am not the one who broke the marriage sacrament and had children out of wedlock, and I am not the one who condoned such behaviour, so why would God punish me?

  39. Who needs a chief anyway? I am Ngoni married to a nice Bemba lady 40 years now. My first born son is married to a beatiful Lozi lady and my eldest daughter is married to a Biza and the second to a Luchazi. My grand daughter will be getting married to an ila Bull next month. Really what tribe is our family going to be called? You think we care? This is all in the mind. Nkomesha is silly so to say…she does not deserve to be a chief and the sooner she goes the better for mother Zambia…

  40. #53 Yeah yeah but why do you use that alias is my ???????? if you are that intelligent and have better values than pf carders?? you still cannot say!! now it me waisting time on you!!

  41. #58 Did you not read what I wrote? Maybe I should spell it out for you – MY ALIAS IS USED TO HIGHLIGHT THE HYPOCRISY OF SATA WHO HAS THE AUDACITY TO CLAIM HIS WIFE IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN DORA SILIYA AT A PUBLIC FORUM INSTEAD OF DISCUSSING THE POLICIES THAT HIS GOVT WILL CARRY OUT SHOULD HIS PARTY (GOD FORBID) BE ELECTED INTO POWER, WHEN IT IS PUBLIC KNOWLEDGE THAT HE HAS BEEN UNFAITHFUL TO HIS WIFE AND HAS FATHERED CHILDREN WITH TWO OF BISHOP MPUNDU’S SISTERS OUT OF WEDLOCK. I hope you now get it , though I very much doubt it. It might be better for you to heed the advice I gave you earlier and crawl back into the hole you obviously came out of .

  42. The writer starts – Please allow me to register a few stray thoughts with regard to Rupiah Banda’s threat (or is that a promise?) to dethrone – that should stay in your mind as you reach the end of the article. STRAY THOUGHTS!! …………means someone also needs guidance especially understanding the real history behind and leading to this beef – then balancing it??

  43. Imwe let the people vote and let them express there right of choice.Has the chiefenes got rights to hinder any Zambian from freely choosing which party to vote for.Imwe lets wake up Zambia is a democratic country and not some dictatorial systme or monarchy that the chieftainess can be using to hinder others from expressing there right to vote. Please people this is Zambia and its high time chiefs started respecting peoples rights and not take advanteage of there positions. What RB was trying to do is to show her that the same powers she was using to threaten her subjects there are other people who have them and can be used against her but they respect her.So it was upon the chieftainess realising that she needs to respect each of her subjects and not to treat them us useles

  44. after all we serve a better and loving zambia. But the truth stands RB is wining and he will continue to record unbeaten run in his career unlike some sections i know who are entring treble as young as they are and thank God we are buring one person with so many loses.

    • You might be the one to go first you mug! Do you know when you will die? Do you know whether you will be alive tomorrow? How old are you?

  45. Kankonyo nkonyo kalala pamendo pamendo yamunenu fungeni ukulu!

Well written Maswahu. Africans are made to believe a president is doing them a favour when they build them a school or a hospital.

  46. #64 I concur with you. Why should some unelected person, prevent others from expressing their political views in a democratic country simply to bolster the ego and political ambitions of Nkomeshya’s relative? This is nepotism of the highest order. Somebody was questioning what the MMD govt has done for Chongwe but forgets that Nkomeshya has been on the throne for a long time now. What has SHE done for her people? Why is she not pro-active like Mukuni who always tries to ensure that his people benefit from the tourism industry in Livingstone? Masebo has also been MP for the area for a long time as well as having been a cabinet minister prone to fainting in public, if nothing has been done in Chongwe, surely she must bear some of the blame?

  47. #65 Conversely, if the president’s administration has built a hospital, why should the people be lied to by someone who says the president has not done anything for the area and yet that person has been MP for Chongwe for  longer  than the president has been in office?

  48. Chieftainess Nkomeshya is not a nice person. she is a pretender. she has to be nuetral as a chief but has been forcing people to vote for PF just because that’s where Masebo is standing. now Masebo is not going to win and she is panicking and is now encouraging people to Vote for RB as president and vote for her as MP!!!!!! she is a snake just lie the Cobra!!! by the way those who voted for MMD in 2001(Luapula, Copperbelt and Northern) should be the ones to remove MMD from power..let’s see if they will do that on their own!!!!

  49. The most important thing is to respect ones opinion,we are one family and we only have on Country and thats is Zambia.May the Good lord bless us and lets vote peacefully.

  50. @67 judging from your blogs, you really are so scared of Sata and you have made it so personal. No matter how educated you are,a sober way of presenting your arguement than this kind of pedantic approach you have chosen would appeal to some people who may not be decided on this issue.Start by changing your name may be your arguments can make sense

  51. COME 20th. RB IS GOING TO DETHRONE HIMSELF. VIVA NKOMESHA, VIVA MASEBO, VIVA FR. BWALYA, VIVA SATA. NI PABWOTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  52. Bonse basakala ba MMD mwalya pafula…..11 days…you are scared, things on the ground are are bad..tafiweme kwena…clear…sata has won, its just the mater of waiting for 20 sept

  53. # 56 Mwamoneni . You are one of  the OLD chaps who have taken our country backwards. You are blinded by your PERSONAL benefits from MMD hence your thinking.  From your posting above, you must be around 60 but what a waste.

  54. That chief should be careful. There is a reason why we don’t encourage chiefs enganging in politics. For arguments sake what if RB won elections and Masebo lost her bid.what kind of relation would you have created between you and the Govt. My advise is stay out of politics you are above this. It is dirty, dangerous and notworthy.Learn from our very clever chiefs from eastern province like GAWA UNDI or Mpenzeni. You may not like what the incumbet President is doing but coming out in open to threaten his supporters is the worst you can do.As a chief i would support who ever is elected and work with them to develop my area.afterall i am not elected i will be on this throne until death.Thats what a clever chief does embraces everyone good or bad and sundry…..do not be cheated Sata is losing.

  55. pipo of zambia those that are going to vote whether u read this or not pliz vote wisely .we need a government that will pay attention to the suffering of our men and women in uniforms which are being used as tools to surpress the opposing views to that of MWANIA MULAMANA DOO [MMD]….RBhas gone so far .we need to term him and after 20th september 2011 must be together with TEKERE sent to MAXMAMBO IN KABWE to take a rest.

  56. Oh the article was written by the stray mind Psycho Dr. Maswau. No wonder . What has happened to his unwavering support for HH

  57. Zambians should have the habit of analyzing issues by first looking at the background of the matter they want to discuss. The author has lamentably failed in this regard.
For those whose only source of information is the Post Newspapers, the issue of Chieftainess Nkomesha Mukamwambo II can be traced to the day Masewo decided to ditch MMD and join PF.The chief was on record that she does not see any sense in any of her subjects voting for MMD which according to her has brought no development in her Chiefdom.Later the same Chieftainess started intimidating any chief and village headmen in her area who were perceived to be against PF.Masewo continuously with the approval of the Chief went on rampage threatening villagers of eviction from their villages if they dared not support PF.

    • And this is your analysis, facts or hearsay? So you are a witness to all you are saying or just read it in some State run newspaper? Mention just one headman or villager that you saw being threatened. You seem to have a problem with the Post but seems like you glorify the other papers or news outlets.

State one point that you think the writer tripped on. Mr analyzer.

  58. Earlier at a rally in Kaoma on Wednesday, Sata said those wishing him ill were merely wasting their time. He urged the crowd to expect more lies from the MMD as polling day drew near

  59. No.81 ctd.
Since the Post Newspaper never carried these barbaric happenings in Chongwe, there has been no outcry even from sober minds like Brig.Gen Miyanda.
When RB addressed a rally in Chongwe,he started by commenting on the problems village headmen and some of the subordinate chiefs were facing arising from the threats of eviction from the area which the chieftainess and Masewo were issuing non PF supporters. It is at this juncture that RB said that the security of every Zambian was the ultimate responsibility of the President and he would not tolerate anybody victimising people because of their political beliefs and assured the people that those practicing this victimisation face retirement if he wins the election.WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS?

  60. Chilufya, I totaly agree with you. Problem we have in Zambia is we do not analyse issues. We take things as we are told especially this time when reporters have taken sides. The context in which RB said what he said was infact to infer that only the President has power to evict pipo-fortunately (unfortunately for some) that is the truth. A few yaers ago, some Ngoni traditionalists conspired to oust Mpezeni from power. The plot got exposed and the ring leaders was expelled from the Ngoni kingdom. This guy went to court and Mpezeni lost the cas. Therefore, with all due respect, these chiefs should not overstate their authority. In the modern world, WE THE PIPO collectively have more authority than our rulers, that is why presidents have to beg for our votes-not authority from obscurity.

  61. The chiefteness shud not behave the way she did becoz she’s there for all not only for masebo. The later will lose election 2moro the chiefteness will remain forever. Chiefs must receive/host all who call on them without qegregating. Vote is secret the chief will have only one vote too. Win this year is for HH not masebo becoz she didn’t join pf but kabimba longtime boyfriend, her true party is UPND vote for HH to redeem pipo of chongwe. vote too. Win this year is for HH not masebo becoz she didn’t join pf but kabimba longtime boyfriend, her true party is UPND vote for HH to redeem pipo of chongwe.

  62. # 37, Yaya. What is with you? Bushe bupuba bwashani wakwata? Don’t you feel embarrassed reading what you write? Kwena it is true what Bembas say: Pansaka tapabula chiwelewele. Do they even call you for staff meetings at your work? I believe they don’t. That is why I call you a chihuahua. Your level of thinking is immensely below that of an abnormal human being. If you feel I have insulted you, please go back and read what you wrote. Tell us if you can see any sense in it. And you think RB’s morals are good? What a wacko you are!

  63. Yes, we know you MMD chaps by now. You kill people in Mongu and deny it ever happened. You make threats and then deny it. The pattern is consistent. I would like to see the faces of all those pro-RB opinion polls when he gets what he truely deserves. :d
