Former MMD member Mike Mulongoti has said that Patriotic Front Secretary General Winter Kabimba has no authority over the decisions of the MMD. Mr. Mulongoti said that Mr. Kabimba is not the right person to comment on whether the MMD has made the right decision in electing Dr. Nevers Mumba as party leader or not because it does not concern him.
Speaking to QFM, Mr. Mulongoti said that as a founding member of the MMD, nobody in the party would want to auction the party. He noted that in any democracy, once people have voted, the decision is irreversible, whether people are happy with the results or not.
Mr. Mulongoti has since advised the newly elected MMD president Dr. Nevers Mumba to provide leadership that will lead to the success of the party.
He noted that the biggest challenge Dr. Mumba has before him is to remove the corruption tag the former ruling party has.

While I do not like Mulongoti a single bit, he is very right. There is no reason Kabimba would like to see a successful or a strong MMD. The fact that he is commenting in this manner, means that it has somehow jolted the PF. MMD is an established party, it can bounce back if it picks the right principles and if PF fails to meet its promises. Remember, PF memebership is largely with the grass root, once the grass root losses interest, it is gone!
Kabiba has as much rights to coment on MMD election as Mike himself. Am I mising something here? the last time I checked, mike was not an MMD member. Shallow mike, no wonder no party is interested in him.

Mike iz right this Wynter would do well to keep hiz thoughts about the late MMD to himself. Else we will take he iz shaken and having sleepless nights with regard to what iz happenig in the former rulling party.
Mulongoti is back! Is he himself the right person to comment on Nevers Mumba and the MMD?
Mulongoti is an i.d.i.o.t and has no right commenting on MMD, after contributing to its loss of elections last year. He should just shut up and let hunger continue nyokola him. MMD should never think of brininging him back to center stage. It is very well known that Mulongoti spent most of 2011 campaigning for PF, together with Lameck Mangani. If the two had not betrayed their own brother RB, MMD would have got that 135,000 deficit of votes and won the elections. So what gives him the right to open his stinking mouth to comment on what is going on in MMD? Just because Sata has made it vbery clear that he is not interested in people who betray their own parties. He even went on to appoint from the opposition but not Mulongoti. Even Sata doesn’t trust him, despite campaigning for him.
So he has finally realised he will never be givena job.
Its called flip-flop, iwe ka Mulongoti, forget the promises you were given before the election now, ok!
Double standards is a normal for our politicians. We need to put a clause in our constitution which states that once one leaves his/her original political party they are free to join any party of his/her choice but cannot be allowed to contest for MP or appointed as such or service in foreign mission till fives years has elapsed from the day the changed parties. this will help keep in check political prostitutes like Mulongoti.

My observation of developed countries is that at times you read in these tabloids issues about science, investment, projects, and plans for 10 years, 15 years, and sometimes 30 years. This allows every citizen to be involved. Alas pa Zed, its all about this one that; and i can assure you, its the reason many people decided to take a break and live elsewhere. The media: what are you doing about the need for infrastructure? any issue about driver training; cultural dances and issues? Everything about Zambia is negative++!! What a country!!

Please try by all mean to publish this piece of complaint on your website…..Loadshedding has really affected us, Kamwala South and Souurounding areas. ZESCO needs to do something about this unfortunate matter. When people get fed up with something there actions are usually bad..MMD lost to PF in the last elections because of such atitudes from people who were enstrusted with power over publish institutions. Please please ZESCO, can we be enlightened on what is happening at that company, there is no information and no apologies being made.
# 19 LOLAMWANA, You are absolutely right in your observation. Our politicians need to know that, in their pursuit to rule us, the cardinal issues of development of our country and moving the huge masses of our people from poverty should be paramount.
It is therefore important that all these politcal debates, job seeking as maybe the case for Mike, run parallel with developmental issues. These of course amoung others would include infrastructure improvement, healthy, Education and creating employment .

Imwe bamulongoti, just because wynter kabimba told you it was not possible for the PF to give everyone who supported them a job, does not warrant this malice. In case you have forgotten, wynter was lusaka town clerk under the MMD before he opted to join the “King Cobra in PF.” Serve for the now dismembered Enock Percy Kavindele, there are very if not no original blue dog MMD members because either most of them have died or retired like VJ, Sikota Wina, Simon Zukas etc. Kulibonesha bata. kabimba has a right to talk about the mmd just as Micheal Chilufya Sata. As we say in bemba, “naikubulumyafye insala echo uletombaukila no kosaosa.” Funga kinwa if you truly want zambians to feel pity on you pantu taupusene neule. Anyone has the right to express his personal opinion on anything. Kabimba can comment on MMD. Mulongoti can comment on Kabimba. I can comment on all of them as well as choose who I agree with and who I don’t. You the blogger can comment on what I write, whether you agree with it or not. This, dear friends, is democracy. The right to talk and the right to challenge insofar as one does not breach the rights and freedoms of another.
The biggest sin Mike committed was his ferocious support for RB’s takeover of Mwanawasa. He hounded all those who could have upheld Levy’s legacy and he and Shikapwasha equally abandoned Levy’s legacy and they will pay for it.
