The Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) says the silence of the Civil Society Organisations involved in the advocacy of good governance will soon be exposed.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Qfm news, MMD national secretary Richard Kachingwe says it is surprised that the CSOs have suddenly gone mute on issues of good governance.

Major Kachingwe says sooner than later, Zambians will know the reasons why the organisations in question are adamant to criticize the bad governance being exhibited by the current government.

He says Zambia can only develop with the presence of a civil society that is organized and able to offer checks and balance without taking sides.

The MMD Chief Executive Officer has since urged the CSOs in the country to serve the interest of the majority poor people and voiceless they claim to represent.

  1. It’s just a matter of time, within two months from now people across the country would have made up their minds. don’t worry my MMD Chief Executive Officer …..let them do whatever they want to do …..let them not forget that time will tell and the same time will judge them….just a matter of time…
    thanks

  2. MMD must shout up. Kachawa go back to malawi and practice yo dirty politics there. We need development to build our country and not that rubbish noise to destroy. Govt carry on. Period.

  3. these chaps in CSOs are useless..they only speak out when govt is criticised..i think they ve lost their essence..

  4. In Zambia politicians call themselves as Kadansa or “Kanda” maybe, Ukwa, Chibwi no whatever, Man who cant kip hiz hair etc. Where is the luv? Luv yo enemy is the root of the ten commandments (if at all we do understand them). Look at how we suffer wen we want services from ZRA & Customs, RATSA, NRC, PASSPORT, ZANACO, Ministry of Lands, Hospitals, THE COURTS, CBU/UNZA during registration or BC applications, the list is endless. Why cant a working govnt look at thez as pressing and serious issues??? I dont know whether u hav felt how backward we are in thez areas!!! Pliz look into this u leaders in govnt, dont spend tym pointing fingures at one another!!! Pliz let us work Zambians not the caliber we have!!!!!

  5. CSOs bwana secretary are still ashamed to have been campaining for this mediocre govt and have not yet gathered themselves up to talk with confidence. Its what they call a state of malaise…….caused by their hypocrisy.

  6. The fact of the matter is that NOT ALL NGOs are quiet. There are some of the NGOs that are still vocal. Those NGOs that are quiet are run by Bembas who have been in full support of their relative Michael Sata. That is the general pattern across the country. I’m currently yet to meet a Bemba who has been a staunch critic of Sata, the way they used to criticise RB over sometimes very trivial issues. At the moment, Sata and PF have been committing serious acts against the law and morality, but there has been utter silence. Even the POST is very quiet, right at the front of the government newspapers singing Sata and PF songs every day. WAit until a president from another region takes over, then all the Bemba NGOs will be wise and seeing doom for the country. We know you now.
