Katongo To See Out Henan Contract

Share

Zambia captain Christopher Katongo says he wants to see out his contract with demoted Chinese side Henan Jianye.

Katongo’s contract with Henan runs out in November this year.

He has received offers from other clubs following Henan’s demotion from the Chinese Super League late in the 2012 season.

“I am going to stay,” Katongo said.

“Of course I have received some offers but I don’t want to move right now,” he said.

“I just want to concentrate on Africa Cup. By the end of the year I am going to see where I will go.”

  1. Katongo exudes a lot of discipline expected of a serving soldier. I pray for the best for him, still feel he has at least two seasons of competitive football in his legs. I would love if he moved elsewhere..even just Portugal or Netherlands, although considered inferior by European standards. A move will help him end his career on a high. of course he should neber think of going to RSA..its as good as playing in Outer Mongolia

    • You are the one looking inferior.
How can Portugal or Holland be inferior in Europe, I feel like slapping the hell out-of you.

    • So many Pull Him Downs wanting to destroy a good legend. Godfrey please advise these people to appreciate their heroes

  2. Chris Katongo is a good role model for present and future Zambian footballers. Hats off to him. I didn’t hear anyone heaping insults on him the day he lifted the AFCON trophy in from of thousands back then, why now?

  3. He is making money.Pathetic fools. You want him to come back to zambia so that you can join in finishing his money. We know the zambian syndrome.

  4. If you are going to see out your contract out Katongo you might as well hand over that captain’s armband…if those empty suits at FAZ know better this is the message they should be putting across to Katongo and his club.

  5. leave ba mudala ba chris alone you are the same people who will be praising him in a few weeks time let me congratulate him in advance for returning our cup go zambia

  6. It’s mind boggling how an entire human being with enough sense to read will come to an article reading it only to hurl insults- and I guess, get a kick out of it-HOW REALLY LAME!! Peace of advice to some trashy Zambians (and we don’t have so many), “Grow the hell Up and start making sense. It doesn’t take so much effort; at times all you have to do is SHUT UP for a while!”

To Chris- Whatever you do is up to you, but plenty of us Zambians tip our hats off to you for your team spirit and overall individual accomplishments propelled by discipline.

  7. Those who are insulting Chris you are such good *****s.Why can’t you leave him alone and let him decide what he want to do.I think the man is working hard for his family and for our Country.

  8. He is a disciplined soldier on and off the pitch. Chris is a fighter and will do us proud once again in South Africa Afcon 2013. All you critics will swallow your words. Go Chris Soldier, GOAL!!!!

  9. Hey! How does Katongo’s personal life affect u nd yo family? Yah! Actually, he has another job as a soldier. Who re u and what do u have? Find something to do.
