The 2013 local soccer season kicks-off on Saturday with the Samuel “Zoom”Ndhlovu Charity Shield semifinal doubl header at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
Zesco United will face Power Dynamos in the 13:00 hours kick-off match while Zanaco will take on Napsa Stars in the second semifinal two hours later.
Power are the defending champions of the season opener Charity Shield.
The two matches will help Zambia’s envoys in CAF club competitions Zanaco and Power to warm-up ahead of their respective away preliminary round return legs to be played next weekend.
Zanaco are in the Charity Shield semifinal after winning the 2012 FAZ Super Division while Napsa are Barclays Cup defending champions.
Power and Zesco finished second and third respectively on the 2012 Super Division table.
