Southern Province Patriotic Front political secretary Brian Hapunda says people in the region want by-elections in order remove the non performing UPND Members of Parliament.
Mr. Hapunda says people have endorsed the development agenda of the ruling Party and the stance taken by President Michael Sata to extend his government to the opposition.
Speaking in an interview with Qfm news, Mr. Hapunda says people have widely accepted the move the President in ensuring that all regions are represented in his government.
He says have realized the importance that the PF government attaches to the development of the province which he says has been underdeveloped in previous regimes.
Mr. Hapunda adds that the government’s commitment to deliver development has prompted people in the province to call for by-elections in order to remove UPND Mps that have refused to work with the government.
He says the PF government is resolved to ensure that wealth is equitably distributed to all parts of the country
I will take it as a political statement from a member of PF and does not reflect the actual position on the ground.
If this statement is to be believed, then lets wait for 2016 to prove it.
I hope this will not be used as an excuse to cause unnecessary and costly by-elections

Brian hapunda is the biggest liar in PF.
He cheated on his UNZA exams and recently claimed he found 95kg of catapults in Livingstone ith UPND cadres.
There has never been any such news reported about his find of the catapults and nobody was ever arrested.
Brian knows he must try and gain poularity or face dismissal from his job that PF gave him a new toyota landcruiser and Kr500,000 for him to leave UPND and be the bad mouth piece for PF.
Southerners do not want to vote for PF as they are too educated to fall for this kind of bad governance.
Livingstone election was electoral fraud and it will be petitioned accordingly.

Brain Hapunda left UPND voluntarily and why is he trying to speak for the people of Southern Province. I support any MP from whatever political party as long as they prove in their work that it was worth voting for them. For those that may not know the young man when we were at Unza young Hapunda was our Unzasu Secretary General in 2008. He was in the Law school (fourth year at the time)and because he is a habitual lie and a pretender he went into the exam room (the sports hall) with pre-written material and as the exam progressed he was actually caught coping (by unza brown) that is how he was ejected from the exam room (like a VCD) and expelled from Unza.My question therefore is; who is more of a disgrace between Mr Sakala and Hapunda? If Hapunda is not a poverty stricken young man and a scavenger let him tell the nation where he was and belonged at a time PF was being formed? When did he join PF and for what reasons? How did he get the job that he currently has and under what circumstanc
