  1. The pictures showing the remains of the burnt old couples home and other belongings have spoiled my day.I hope the police has made some progress in terms of arresting the culprits. My heart is bleeding.

  2. That mother’s shelter honestly is shocking, what are people doing when they report in these offices if they can be in-charge of such institutions??

    • Unfortunately not much can be done since we depend on government for money. The money given to hospitals is dismal. Its a miracle how we even get by. Thankful donations do come here and there to keep us afloat sometimes. If you are moved please donate to the nearest hospital near you. People are suffering.

    • All these polticians, PS’s and spouses of politicians do is visit these poor areas to show that they are working or are concerned with the plight of the poor. Boza, its just a photo op……once they leave, that’s it!

    • The problem is that the people who are in charge do not like doing anything. With determination, they can get funds from well wishers. I went to a police station in Lusaka which was very dirty and a stinking toilet just next to the reception. From what I could see, the man at the desk was happy to work in those conditions. All the place needed what a bit of paint and a mop to make it pleasant!! Our Indian headmaster at my old school was very good at fund-raising and he did a lot for the school. As soon as he left, the Zambian staff looted the school. Now it is a sad sight.

  3. Loving picture 1…that was my reaction when I heard that our intellectually challenged government had come up with that name. So how to we institute the Private members motion to correct this circus?

  4. Hahahahahaha, Obama priceless!!! Please someone get the internet picture of President Clinton laughing with Boris Yeltsin, that laugh would make Sata look so stupid!

  5. Last Pic: Charlotte needs a basic eye test explained to her?

Pic 6 – don’t understand why a present for good performance was a portrait of the president. Aren’t they everywhere already?

  6. picture 1 compliments all the disaster fotos, 2,3,4,14,15,16 and 17, which must have inspired our disaster cabinet for a stadium name!

  7. Picture 11 shows the RC concrete stands buckled like steel beams and they have just applied a coat of paint on them speaks volumes…. That is not safe at all and you think you can host the AFCON.
We deserve better than this people!!

  8. #6, why was Dr Sakala mocked like that? If he continues like that, I wont be surprised if they give him a portion of raw sewage as his prize in future.

  9. picture number 22,even for eye test the pictures we use are foreign depicted. i mean in a country like zambia, why would you have a horse drawn on those charts for eye test. that horse is not indegenous to zambia and therefore probably does not even have a name in the local language. at the end of the day, some villagers would not even know what to call that creature and the nurse might even make a wrong call ati he cant see. kansi the person does not know the name of the animal. in all seriousness why not put a goat, giraffe, zebra there atleast since it belongs to the horse family. these are simple things we should change. dont copy and paste western technology. apply it to suit the zambian scenario. thats what real education should do.

    • The vernacular for horse is imfalashi. Yes, I’m a nerd like that.

  10. Well explained @Hitman…i agree with you. Unless the equipmement was donated, there is need to adopt our own technology to suit the local people. I also want to add that it’s time wasting visiting public institutions when we all know that the infra structure is in deplorable state. Why spend so much time visiting instead of rolling out developmental projects aimed at improving infrastructure??? These office bearers should ensure that they get the money and channel it to intended projects.. Don’t just wear those suites Monday to Friday with no job out put.!!!!

  11. Can anyone explain whether or not these spouses of so called govt leaders are part of building inspectors..so what is she going to do now that she has seen it all?.. And how can the provincial ps award a civil servant a portrait of a non performing president?? I think these photos are sickening, please give us photos depicting real life situation!!!
