The Lundazi District Patriotic Front Committee has suspended Chairperson for Lundazi Central Constituency, Yona Ng’andu, with immediate effect.
Mr Ng’andu has been benched for gross indiscipline in accordance with Article 17 of the Party’s constitution.
This is according to the suspension letter written and signed by PF Lundazi District chairperson, Manfred Banda, dated 8th August 2013.
Mr Banda accused Mr Ng’andu of being arrogant, failing to attend constituency meetings organized by the district committee and blocking PF members wishing to attend district meetings.Mr Banda further disclosed Mr Ng’andu, being the constituency chairperson, on July 13, 2013, threatened to suspend any constituency member wishing to attend district meetings.
He said the District Committee formally charged and wrote Mr Ng’andu a letter on July 13 and gave him a period of 14 days to exculpate himself but, instead, Ng’andu chose to remain silent, a sign of guilt.
But when contacted for a comment, Mr Ng’andu said he does not recognize the suspension written by the District Committee led by Manfred Banda, alleging that the current District Committee was divided and marred with total confusion.
Meanwhile the District Committee has since appointed Lundazi Central Constituency Vice Chairperson, Maureen Zimba Chiwama, to act as chairperson for the constituency.

Not easy to ascend to power but very easy to be kicked out. This is the downfall of PF. Where is the president in this matter? Why can’t he discipline these chaps that are fighting each other? I am just amazed that PF can actualy use the word arrogance in its correct context! Maybe that’s why Mrs Mmembe (Wynter) is quiet.
