THE Patriotic Front (PF) has set up a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) whose sole mandate will be to help alleviate poverty among women and youths in Zambia.

Secretary General Wynter Kabimba said the NGO would be responsible for the establishment and administration of vocational skills training Centres.

Mr Kabimba said the NGO would help youths and women acquire training skills that would enable them set up businesses to sustain their families and contribute to national development.

He said this during a PF Ndola district consultative meeting at the trade fair grounds in Ndola at the weekend.

“I urge all the women and youths to take advantage of this NGO. We want every one of you to benefit from the party in Government,” he said.

Mr Kabimba who is Justice Minister said a Pilot project in tailoring for women and literacy centre had been established in Lusaka and a total of 207 participants had since graduated.

He said the party was in the process of forming a cooperative that would ensure that the women trained used the skills to generate income and improve their livelihood.

He said the party was also planning to establish vocational training centres in all the provinces and smaller ones in all the districts.

He said priority would be given to provinces and districts where the party was strong and politically organised.

“Furthermore, the party has established a national youth centre, which coordinates political mobilisation, leadership training and education for youths to ensure more youths are recruited,” he said.

Mr Kabimba, however, urged party members to cooperate and put to good use the NGO in order for the party to be strengthened.

  1. LOL!!! hahahahahahaha! ROTFLMFAO!!! LOL some more!! LMFAO and LMAO and still ROTFLMFAO!

Thats all i can say for the moment.

    • This is a mere conduit for siphoning public money to fund PF activities. Money will be routed through the Ministry of Community Devt. in the name of funding projects initiated by the PF NGO.

    • @Sai, you are right. PF is in Government and have direct access to public resources. Part of their mandate as a Government is to help alleviate poverty. Why can’t they just use existing structures of Government and NGOs to achieve the poverty alleviation objective. The chaps are just a bunch of thieves, try to find a way of funding their 2016 campaign.

    • Something does not add up here. For 10 years PF was struggling to raise money just to buy campaign materials.Within 2 years of being in charge of the country’s finances,we have seen huge sums of money being spent by PF in various by-elections,setting up of a PF company where only Winter and Michael are signatories to the account and now a PF NGO.CAN PF TELL ZAMBIANS HOW THEIR FORTUNES HAVE TURNED OVERNIGHT.For all ACC and DEC are worth, they will just pay a blind eye to this rampant misuse and theft of Government money. What a shame!!!!!

  2. Can you please fire this CADRE!!! He is more comfortable with being a cadre than a serious Minister of Justice.

  6. This circus will never end. Hopefully this NGO/GOVERNMENT is registered with the registrar of societies. Where did PF send cadres for training Sudan orSomalia?

  7. they have formed a non Government organisation but they are in Government? i am in tears as well. cry my beloved country we are being ruled by ifipu

  8. This is absurd and absolutely preposterous! conflict of interest…NGO means none government organisation so why would the government create one for it’s party?

  9. This one is new……………
Why not just an independent NGO with no political entanglement, clean name were good high profile “samaritan” politicians can give subscriptions or hefty donations to help the poor, terminally sick, the old, educational projects for the youth, widows, reformed criminals en so on and so forth? This same NGO to be managed by independent educated citizens who are not thirsty for picking with long hands. Am afraid Rainy Weather and company want a name for themselves, why not try shaking off that pride sir? you should learn that good deeds are just that, do it annonimously some day a trophy of respect will splash all over you without you blowing the trampet.
Otherwise, i love the idea without the PF tag!

  10. Governmental Non Governmental Organisation – only in Zambia under Ukwa! So how do you participate in the GNGOs activities – do you have to speak Bemba and wear a pf chitenge?

  11. And how you intend to do that? Sharing loots from single source tenders? Do us a favor and stand for in next by-election to test your popularity and acceptance by the people of Zambia.

  12. NO IAM CONVINCED PF LEADERS ARE TRULY DULL. What the Hell is Wynter talking about??Sometimes, it is best to keep quite than talk Rubbish. The man has lost it?? Put Strategies to alleviate poverty not NGO??

  13. NOW IAM CONVINCED PF LEADERS ARE TRULY DULL. What the Hell is Wynter talking about??Sometimes, it is best to keep quite than talk Rubbish. The man has lost it?? Put Strategies to alleviate poverty not NGO??

  14. Pwah hah hah hah…this is the biggest joke I have ever heard. NGO created by the government – who will be funding its activities?

    • The funds will come from the Government in the guise of supporting poverty reduction initiatives of their NGO. The truth is the money will just be part of funding their 2016 campaign. They will do things like providing sewing machines, small cash amounts, etc. in PF stronghold and weak opposition camps. This tactic has been used before by the MMD (HOPE Foundation, MMCI. Thandi worked without an official NGO but did the same stuff).

  15. You can now see where the problems in our Judicial System are coming from; the man on top has no clue as to who should be running an NGO! What more running the Judiciary!?

Opposition should be challenging the suitability of this Justice Minister before attacking the Chief Justice

  16. Ba kabimba please spare us from all this retrogressive plans. We understand that you have/had no economic and developmental plans for this country. Other pipo warned us and you cant be advised both you and your Paya Farmer (PF) party. I edge you to revisit simple G9 civics on the functions of govt please and this is serious. You are a gvt , you can not be non govtmental at same time. BUFI it is a way of stealing funds from the national coffers. Stop it immediately before it consumes you!!
By the way, if sata is being endorsed now, who is other person being endorsed? I enjoying the circus. The thing is that the endorsers are hiding behind to abush one day watchout!…..This endorsement has retarded development. Pse reply.

  17. …and where is the opposition in all this? Checks and balances are none existent that’s why Zambia is being run like a PF Kantemba. This is beyond abnormal and should not be entertained.

    • Honestly, do you think PF can listen to the opposition? Any negative comment from the opposition on the matter will be termed as “Childish.” We are dealing with escapees from a mental asylum.

  18. No need to set up NGOs by a Party in power !! Channel all your streagth and energy towards existing institutions coutrywide to combat poverty. We have people better equipt to run these small NGOs.

Why should a Govt stoop so low ?? Just can’t imagine this is happening in Zambia, why please why ?? This is petty..

    • Because they want to steal Government resources and fund party activities like all the previous Governments have done in one way or another.
