Power star Situmbeko denies Gor Mahia link

Share

Power Dynamos and Zambia winger Julius Situmbeko has been linked with a move to Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia.

And Situmbeko has denied reports suggesting that he had alreday signed for Mahia.

The youngster is currently in Kenya with the Zambia squad that is taking part in the ongoing Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup in that country.

Unconfirmed media reports on Saturday indicated that Situmbeko had signed for Mahia.

But the player denied the reports saying he was still a Power Dynamos player.

“People please I haven’t signed for any team in Kenya and I am still a Power Dynamos player,” Situmbeko wrote on his face book page.

“Stop exposing my name for nothing please ba reporter. How can I sign without the confirmation from Power?” he added.

Situmbeko joined Power from Konkola Blades at the beginning of the 2013 season.

    • Why can’t you be civil and mature for once. Isn’t Congo 3rd world but you have more than half of your national team playing there? Mind you, Kenya is far much Better than Zambia when it comes to the Economy and Infra-strucure. If you talk about primitivity, Zambians might even be more primitive than Kenyas.

You don’t always have to show your negativity. Grow up!

    • Enka, you know very little about Africa. Imagine with 44m people Kenya’s GDP per capita is higher than Zambia’s inspite of the minerals Zambia is blessed with.

Kenya has done that just on raw agric products and knowledge driven economy. But I dont expect you to get that coz the literacy rate in Zambia is lower than Kenya.

If you can please see the comparison in the link below you will realize that Kenya beats Zambia in so many things.

    • Even a player like Festus Mbewe can’t sign in Kenya or Uganda, how can a player you write “youngster” be disposed off like that?
Ok if he that good of a player to be in newspapers can you please use him tomorrow against— what was that team Burundi or one those!?

    • @ Jack O -thats not factually true and you’re using bogus or cooked statistics.Zambia’s per capita is far higher than Kenya.

    • The entire Africa is third world, save for the Arabs and South Africa. Kenya is far better than DRC where most of your players play their trade. The problem with Africans is that they do not appreciate themselves, you are a perfect example.

    • The above mudslinging between Africans shows a lack of maturity. I wonder why Africans focus on whose nation is better when we can all clearly see that we are under developed and one of the major reasons for this is because we are one product countries that could fare much better it we united. Given the petty squabbling above we have little chance of uniting to create a super economy because each man thinks his poverty is better than the other.

    • Professional soccer comes with attractive salary. Check how much Power is paying this guy and what he will be paid by Mahia. Remember soccer is business and soccer players are in business regardless of where they play. That is there life and leave them to make a decision based on their business priorities and not your analysis of which league is better than the other. Leave some things to others to understand.

    • Do u remember the short boy Emmanual Zulu who refused to go to Bayani munchi when they wanted him most saying he wanted to go to Ajax? Where is he today? He’s busy drinking Chibuku in Tarvens as early as 6 oclock.

    • Yes ,our league is better ,our economy much better, our satndard of living much higher and we’re less tribal and less divided than overpopulated kenya.

  1. What? joining weeping boys of africa! No wonder you are situmbeko from western province where there is no football! please save us the embassment and dont tell anyone once you have decided to join ba chipante pante!

  2. Mwaice wandi ngawafye ninshi capwa wapwa. I stayed in Kenya there is no football, even Kalulushi Modern Stars yabapo bwino. Napapata ikalafye pa Power Tools.

  3. Mwaice wandi ngawayafye ninshi capwa wapwa. I stayed in Kenya there is no football, even Kalulushi Modern Stars yabapo bwino. Napapata ikalafye pa Power Tools.

  4. If he goes to kenya, he should count himself out of chipolopolo. Kenya has failed even to qualify for afcon, in the last 20 yrs. So what footbal is there ? The ground at power can not even be compared to a club you want to join in Kenya

  5. Soccer wize kenye is behinde us but economically far better than us.@Enka ukwenda kusuma.Talk of infrustracture my goodness,we are really backward! It is pipo like HH’s pipo that want us 2 remain behinde.C how they critisize wat pf is doing.Ubututu!

  6. If i was this boy i wouldn’t go to kenya. Its a country with less football prowess, its ranked much lower by FIFA and its a country full of islamic terrorists and vast lands with nomadic people. That does no sound like football paradise.

  7. Plz stop being tribal ,u just expose to ignorance . Just advice the boy . Am bemba but disappointed . Julius wait fo de right time and not Kenya

  8. Hi all. Am a Kenyan. let me tell you something from a Kenya perspective. The fact that Football has been poor in Kenya is not excuse for refusing the lad to come and play here. Football is about making good decisions. if he has abetter offer (money-wise), why not? as for any thing to do with money, Zambia is way below Kenya. BTW of the top ten biggest economies in Africa, Kenya the only country there without minerals. As any of your players who are currently here in Kenya, they will admit the infrastructure is superb, to say the least.

  9. As a kenyan, iam so dissapointed by our zambian brothers.Let the lad come and enjoy his play here.In gor mahia he is going to earn close to $6500.does he earn that in zambia??i doubt!!

  10. pliz guys, why do we bring unnecessary arguments in this?we might behind you in fifa rankings,bt doesnt mean we are poor,we are so far doing well interms of football, check infrastructure,n all other things,..if Situmbeko decides to play in Kenya why criticize him,wat matters is money, furthermore Gor wont take him for free,we have to buy him from Dynamos..so let the boy join Champions Gor Mahia Kogallo.

  11. Gor Mahia and Power both have a great history. They have both won an African champions title. So The boy just needs to make up his mind on which club is more serious about its future and his.

  12. People, this chap Julius alibilima don’t even waste your time thinking about him. He thinks he has played a lot of football but knowing him I don’t think he will be known in the next 3 years. Ama chik kwati ni ba star sana. For even Power to steal him from Blades it’s only dat he did a damn to the weak Power defence, nokupontela ba Blades executive for trying to advice him not to leave for Power.
