2013 FAZ Super League winners Nkana have completed the signing of defender Maybin Chishimba from their Kitwe rivals Power Dynamos.

Nkana assistant coach Zeddy Saileti confirmed Chishimba’s move on Wednesday.

The ex-Zanaco and Konkola Blades defender was part of the Nkana team that trained on Thursday morning as the Wusakile side continued shaping up for the 2014 CAF Champions League.

Chishimba is the fourth player Nkana have confirmed signing so far.
Others are midfielder Shadreck Musonda from Kalulushi Modern Stars, striker Augustine Mulenga from Nkwazi and keeper Rabson Mucheleng’anga from Nchanga Rangers.

Nkana have further expressed interest in signing Power striker Francis Kombe, defender Amos Simwanza of Konkola Blades, Nchanga midfielder Frank Chibuye and winger Simon Bwalya of Power.

Nkana are beefing up their squad ahead of the CAF Champions League.

The club will next year compete in the CAF Champions League after a 12 year absence from continental football.

  1. Keep it up aba Red. We need a stron and formidable team to represent Mother Zambia in next year’s CAF competitions. Mubombeshe Bane.

  2. Yes Franscis Kombe and he was supposed to be in Kenya at CECAFA. Nkana should buy some bigger guys, not just tu Sate Sate , so tiny, they never sell well in magazines or European teams.

  3. If Nkana want to do better in CAF they should sign players the like of Kalaba, Sunzu, Nathan, Felix Mulenga even Mbesuma. The local players are not good enough.

  4. I’m kind of scared with the rate at which Nkana are changing their 2013 winning team. They may find it difficult to blend within a short time if they do a complete overhaul.

  5. This guy populaly known as Njonjola in chililabombwe is finished. He has changed five teams for the past five seasons so he will just bring confusion at Nkana.

  6. The new Nkana players will add little value to the team.the only good signing is S.Musonda from Kalulushi modern stars.other buys are not good enough for CAF games!
