Nkana coach Masauso Mwale has said he has seen promising signs from Thursday’s friendly against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The defending champions lost 1-0 to Sundowns in their first game in 2014 played at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
“The new and old players gelled in well. This being our first game we will do much better than what we have exhibited here because first games are always tricky but I think the players accounted for themselves very well,” Mwale said.
Mwale said as much as he wanted to start with a win, he had taken some positives from the defeat.
“When you go into a game, you prepare to win but this game that we were playing was not about winning or losing it was about gauging our strengths and weakness before playing our serious games,” Mwale said.
Don’t lose heart, you are champions! Go get ’em boys!
