Zesco draw away in Beira in CAF Confed Cup

Share

Zesco United kicked off their 2014 continental campaign on a modest note under new boss George Lwandamina with an away draw against Ferroviario Beira of Mozambique today.

The draw handed Zesco its first point in their second competitive game of 2014 after losing 2-1 to Red Arrows on February 1 in the 2014 Charity Shield semi-finals in what was their last engagement prior to todays’ CAF Confederation Cup fixture.

Sundays draw is also a relief for Zesco despite still searching for their first win of the year after drawing one and losing four pre-season friendly games.

Meanwhile, Zesco must now beat Ferroviario Beira in the final leg this Saturday in Ndola to advance to the second round of the tournament on March 22.

    • @Adviser, It doesn’t matter how many votes PF got in by-elections they LOST! Period.
Zesco has 1 point, Beira FC 1 point too, so who f***cking care if it was Beira 10-10 Zesco. Its DRAW. Us who watched those 20 goals, didn’t see any SCORE.

  1. And they call these reporters! In football the fans are after the scores! SCORES! SCORES! imwe bantu. Score draw or scoreless draw??? Even then what were the scores?

    • What are you demanding you people, GOALS or SCORES?
My friend who watched on Portuguese channel reported 10 goals, and I saw 0 scores, maybe all where disallowed. But what is important is that Luandamina and his technical bench has Kondwani Mtonga and his best team mates, who are much better than Nkana.

  2. when Kalusha Bwalya called it yellow journalism I thought he was being sarcastic. Now I understand. what’s wrong in sampling saying ZESCO had a scoreless draw. We have a lot of things to think about rather than leaving us in suspense, guessing the scores. sisisi

  3. I WATCHED THE GAME IN THE STADIUM, IT WAS A VERY NICE GAME ENDED AT 5-5 ON PENALTIES AND HAVE NO DOUBT ZESCO WILL WIN IN ZAMBIA, WHEN THEY PLAY IN THE NEW MONGU SATDIUM, NKANA WILL DEFINATELY LOOSE IN UGANDA
