Former Technical Committee Spokesperson Ernest Mwansa has maintained that the 10 copies of the draft constitution and other accompanying documents have been handed over to the ministry of Justice.
This comes in the wake of statements made by Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba and Permanent Secretary Joseph Akafumba denying that the draft constitution copies have been handed over to the ministry.
Mr. Mwansa has told Qfm News in an interview that the committee’s statement on the issue will not change because what was communicated to the public is the truth and nothing more.
Mr. Mwansa says the technical committee has already done its work and handed over the documents as instructed by government.
Mr. Mwansa adds that whatever statements are being made pertaining to the draft constitution now onwards have nothing to do with the technical Committee because the Committee has concluded its work.
Meanwhile the Oasis Forum says there is need for government to tell the nation the way forward on the constitution making process other than giving contradicting statements as this is not helping matters.
Oasis Forum Spokesperson Father Cleophas Lungu says Zambians need a new constitution as promised by the Patriotic Front government.
Technical Committee, do not worry we know who is telling the truth. In PF truth is equated to treason, hence Kabimba will not tell the truth, hence the rightful label by HE the President remarks that he has a useless team. The useless team includes Winter whose uselessness has just graduated to another level altogether.
Any way TB Joshua will soon give us a prophesy I pray PF strongman to also do a Ka flight MH370 and vanish one day and then we will have a person interested in a new constitution

Why did you hand in the draft Constitution to the Ministry of Justice at night or through the back door??? We Zambians should have all known the day you were handing in the documents. You should have even gone further to invite the press such as the DogWatch and many others. @Octopus Bwalya, for those of us who do a lot of flying, any reference to MH370 and its tragic mystery is not funny at all. I believe you would do better next time to engender some sensitivity even for those who are wondering where their loved ones are. 1. Have the Technical Committee members been paid all their monies for ALL the work they did, and are not owed ANYTHING? And if so, why has govt paid them IN FULL if their work is incomplete?

3. Who in the ministry of Justice was this committee reporting to, how often, and can that person tell the nation what the committee’s last progress report was, and WHEN?

Just re-issue them then. Simple. Copies would have been kept for future reference. Just re-issue them….simple. Go to the printer or photocopier and press 11/11 copies plus 2 of the report, and then you press the green button.

Trouble is we all want to believe the TC is on our side. A number of those in the picture have a heavy baggage which MCS knows so well about … and add to that the wads of cash earned during the process.
Especially the old crooked f001 at the end on the right. I said it several months ago (last year) that these TC chaps are upto something. One of which was to ensure they finished all the funds allocated by donors for this process. The question is WHO exactly did they hand the document to? I strongly suspect they are the ones who leaked the document and they are now sh1tt1ng their pants as they have been found out thus broken their terms of reference

If you handed over all documents and the draft constitution to the ministry of justice, then show us the handing over certificate coz it will settle the problem and it will show who receive it..

As it stands, it is just the issue of morality and not legality for the people to fail to have us our constitution.

This committee is indeed fool of duds. How do you hand over a constitution report, which you well know has attracted so much attention, and not have ANY kind of proof of the handover? Yet you want the people to side with you when you are trying to defend your claims? The govt will always rubbish your claims knowing that you have no proof to show that indeed you handed over the report. SHOW US SOME EVIDENCE AND SHAME THE GOVT.
