Lime hire Linos Makwaza

Struggling FAZ Division One North side Lime Hotspurs have appointed Linos Makwaza as new club head coach.

He takes over from recently dismissed George Chilufya after signing a two-year deal on Thursday.

Makawaza had been club-less since resigning at Konkola Mine Police a year ago.

Lime Technical Committeee Chairman Chinyemba Kalama said the club expects Makwaza to revive the performance of the bottom placed side.

“I wish to officially announce that Linos Makwaza has been appointed Lime Hotspurs FC coach. Makwaza signed a two-year contract on Thursday and immediately assumed responsibility with the first task being Hotspur’s game against Premium Sport of Kabwe on Sunday,” he said.

Kalama added:”Lime Hotspurs has a great vision and believes Makwaza’s credentials fits the aspirations of the club.”

Lime who were last season demoted from the FAZ Super League have eight points from the opening 11 games.
