Nakambala end Nkana’s unbeaten record with sweet win

Nakambala Leopards have ended Nkana’s unbeaten run in the 2014 FAZ Super Division.

Nakambala beat the defending league champions 1-0 in the two sides rescheduled Week Six game played at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.

A 55th minute goal from Friday Konga halted Nkana’s unbeaten run from 11 games played.

Nkana’s defeat came just four days after beating Red Arrows 3-0 away at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.

Meanwhile, Nkana stay put in seventh place on 20 points with four games in hand.

Nakambala move one place up the table from 13th to 12th on the table on 14 points from as many games played.

  3. It is important to understand that soccer is no longer a game of giants and minnows. There are only favourites now when two teams walk on a pitch. So we can only say hard luck to Nkana.
