MMD YOUTHS AGAINST DISABILITY TAUNTS DIRECTED AT HON. CHILANGWA

The reports emerging from Kawambwa in Luapula Province that some MMD youths verbally abused Home Affairs Deputy Minister and Kawambwa PF MP Nickson Chilangwa over his physical disability cannot pass without comment.

As MMD youths, we feel moved to apologise to Mr Chilangwa and place it on record our disappointment with such behaviour attributed to our members in Luapula Province.

We believe Mr Chilangwa is a competent colleague in politics and his physical disability should never be a political issue.

As MMD youths, we have always treated Mr Chilangwa with utmost respect and admiration for his strong will to grow his political career. He serves as a true example of courage and hard work to the youths beyond the disability movement.

The behaviour of the said youths in Kawambwa is unZambian and does not in any way represent the strong beliefs on equality that the MMD as an organisation espouses.

Our prayer is that Mr Chilangwa finds it within his heart to forgive his said abusers and help them learn from this act that stigma and discrimination based on physical abilities or the perceived lack of shall never be acceptable.

The MMD in Government ensured that Zambia moved with the rest of the world in ensuring just and fair society for all including the disabled. The part enacted a number of legislation and reforms to ensure that the lives of our friends with disability lived acceptable lives.

We also wish to condemn attempts to link MMD President Dr Nevers Mumba to this unfortunate incident. The media reports appear to be calculated attempt to draw Dr Mumba into this situation. Dr Mumba had nothing to do with the incident and should be distanced from this sad event.

    • Yes, let’s be civil in Politics.Well done Lusambo.Am told,some pipo were saying:ICHILEMA,and others thought they meant,Hichilema-HH

    • GOOD WORK BOMAN.ONCE AGAIN YOU HAVE SHOWN WISDOM.IT TAKES A GODLY MAN TO HUMBLE HIM SELF AND APOLOGIES.SORRY FOR THIS I’NGOMBE ILEDE PARTY AND TEIR ONLINE MEDIA TO INVOLVE THE MAN OF GOD IN THIS EVIL ACT.WE ALL KNOW THATS NOT HOW TE MAN OF GOD COMES OUT…..

    • People will respect you for accepting and taking responsibility than defending the indefensible for political expedience.

You have exhibited maturity and by adding a rare ingredient that is missing in our politics today

I hope the so called senior and seasoned politicians can learn from you

      welldone Bowman

    • @Saulosi.

And that is the way, the cookie crumbles……your confession that you are pf of Bemba extraction or at least a hired gun. Little wonder you blog with vernom against a named opposition party in cahoots with mushota, gen and fellow Hutu-Bokoharam-Hamas-ISIS type people. To you tribe and racism is your tool of trade. Mampara tribalists.

    • Lusambo is solely to blame for misdirecting his youth. The youth are simply copying his careless mouthing off. The boy needs to calm down and reflect on why PF booted MMD out of power.

As for Sata I will only believe he is alive when he resumes his relentless country wide tours to check on his projects. Still pictures do not do it for me.

The problem is that PF are perfecting the art of lying . They believe in “a lie told so many times turns into the truth” theory to f00l certain individuals who cant think. Unfortunately, they can only f00l those who follow PF blindly.

  1. Who ever was involved should be formally sunctioned by the party secretariat. This is foolish, stupid and unacceptable. Such behaviour has no place in our society.

  2. It is truly unZambian to laugh at the physically challenged people. Politics aside, let’s be considerate. Today you’re laughing at your friend, you don’t know what tomorrow might bring on you, God forbid. Timely apology but let the MMD seniors state their position as well since this apology is coming from a non structured organ of their party. Hon. Chilangwa forgive them as Bowman has said and move on we admire you, your courage, focus, vision, determination and hard work . It takes a big heart to forgive, especially that an apology has been issued.

  3. In what capacity are you apologising you publicity seeker styopet lyobe ala! Leave it to Kunda why do you want to perpetuate arnachy ?

  4. My problem is that whatever Lusambo says is just personal. MMD has on several occasions indicated that Bowman Lusambo’s organisation (Die hard MMD) is not part of the mainstream MMD. I therefore find it difficult that a person who has no position in the MMD would be the one to apologise on behalf of the Party. It is odd to say the least. @ Ba ftj naimwe mulebako civil. You cant claim to be a Christian with so much malice and evil. Check your heart bro. You make me believe that PF is very tribal. How else can I interpret your tribal tags that you want to give UPND even when the story does not relate to them? You can insult as much as you like but the destine of anyone (including yours) lays in God’s hand. You are just human and your rantings are of no consequence to God’s children.

  5. Bowman, you are looking for a job in PF. There were rumours during your trip to Solwezi that linked you to Mulenga Sata’s campaign team during the National Local govt president elections.

  6. Civil politics is the way to go,but Lusambo should be given a bonafide position in MMD not the self made Diehard thing.
