Maseneko wants to leave Konkola Blades

Sports Maseneko wants to leave Konkola Blades

Konkola Blades striker Humphrey Maseneko says he is aspiring to move to a bigger FAZ Super League club.

Maseneko’s exploits at the Chililabombwe club have attracted interest from local clubs among them Power Dynamos.

The forward was on the verge of joining Power during the mid-season transfer window before the proposed move fell through at the eleventh hour.

“Regarding my future plans, I want to play for other bigger clubs in Zambia and eventually go to Europe,” he said.

Maseneko has so far this season scored seven goals for Konkola: six in the league and one in the Barclays Cup.

“I want to work hard and play more games,” he added.

Maseneko established his career at Mufulira Wanderers before moving to Konkola in 2012.

  1. Why announcing. Please leave our team. So many better players than you have played at our club and leave quietly.

  2. Your moving to the so called big local club will mark the end of your career!not even coach Janza will notice u at Power,a club with a pool of quality but finished players!Thomas Nyirenda was a star at Blades and in Chipolopolo team, but his move to Power ended his Chipolopolo days!Becky (Begengi),Jonjola,Situmbeko were stars at Blades but rarely play at Power!look at Felix Nyaende-a star on loan at Nchanga Rangers and Chipolopolo last year, but at Power now he doesn’t player!u local players make silly moves which destroy your career.stay at a club where u’re a star!

  3. @Eddy, good info about players who leave Blades. Infact most of the finished or inactive players from other clubs get revived when they go to Blades. Likes of Evans Chisulo, Elson Mkandawire, Martin Daka, Michael Bwalya, Ephraim Banda, Emmanuel Chibala (now Kabwe Warriors Goalkeeeper), Davy Kalandanya, Maseneko, Kelly Sichilya, Christopher Munthali, Simwinga (now midfielder at Nkana). Those how left Blades and are finished or not featuring regularly where they are – Samson Chilupe (Zanaco), Trinity Chalanshi, Becky Bizangi, Felix Nsunzu Jr, Kelly Sichilya, Buchizya Mfune, Amos Simwanza. Anyway, wish Maseneko luck but you are not 100% or yet a full ZPL player as a just came from Div 1 team.
