The voting of a Presidential candidate for the Patriotic Front (PF) at National general conference has been postponed to tomorrow. PF National Chairperson, Inonge Wina, has announced that the delayed voting will take place on Sunday, Nov 30, after verification of the party’s voters’ register.

Ms Wina told thousands of patiently waiting delegates and party members that the Central Committee has agreed to proceed with the conference.

Ms wina said eligible delegates, who have not been accredited, will be allowed to do so and that ineligible party members will be require to leave the conference tomorrow before voting.

She appealed to districts party officials to assist the secretariat verify eligible voters so that the party can elect a substantive president who will be its candidate for the Republican Presidential candidate in January, next year.

Ms Wina clarified that all the nine aspirants are still in the race for the presidency of the party and no one has withdrawn their candidature.

Earlier in the day Commerce Deputy Minister, Miles Sampa, was reported to have withdrawn from the race and returned to Lusaka.

And the central committee has resolved to do another accreditation of delegates to its general conference after it was stopped on Friday.

Hundred of delegates gathered at the Mulungushi Rock of Authority as early as 06:00 in readiness for registration that was scheduled for 08;00 hrs.

PF Secretary General Bridget Atanga said that after the meeting, the central committee had resolved to do accreditation overnight to identify the right delegates.

“We have resolved as a Central Committee to start the accreditation just now until in the early hours of tomorrow,” she said.

“We want all the delegates that are in the venue to move out and and start a new accreditation, we hope to finish by tomorrow.”

Ms Atanga said completion of the accreditation would be followed later by another central committee meeting and the national council.

The delegates would thereafter be given an opportunity to cast the vote to elect a new party president who would also contest the Jan 20 presidential by-elections.

  1. Muntu, ni Lungu all the way for PF.

With Kabimba and Chikwelete the heartbeats of violence in PF gone, under Lungu PF is on the way to its full 5 year mandate. God has left Scott and M’membe is a total quandary of confusion and rejection.

    • BUT I THOUGHT U ARE SUSPENDED MOM OK GUYS I CANT WAIT FOR TOMMOROW, SO EDGAR WANTS TO BE VOTED PF PRESIDENT THEN HE WILL FIREE SCOT FOR HIM TO BE ACTING PRESIDENT AND USE ZAF HELICOPTERS AND GRZ VEHICLES, HELL NO KICK OUT THIS BAFFOON

    • Yes that is why now there is peace and unity in PF…the Cartel has been crashed. ….now you can see all the remaining candidates getting along and sharing some light moments. ..no more threats and suspensions

  2. Yabaa…….nikaleya Mateyoo ba PF. If us, mere spectators are exhausted of the ever unfolding drama, what of those directly involved?

  3. What kind of a stupid party is this which fails even to organise a simple thing like a conference to elect its leaders? Nabo aba ba mayo limbi balanwa whisky nga balume babo filya balenwa. Ati chairperson! Chairperson of foolishness. Its flight HH 2015 all the way!

  4. Civil war is looming on the horizon and Zambia is about to join failed states like Somali, Sudan, Congo DRC etc, thanks to PF Lungu’s thugs.

    • I think mulefwaya fye attention naimwe ba wantanshi……please find a better way and not advocating for civil war…why am I wasting time on you..do you even have a voters card….

Like i said before civil war is brewing in your stomach. ..shiki polomia. ..better find the nearest bathroom

      I thank you

    • @Katondo boys

You will soon join the Congolese, Somalians, Iraqis, Sudanese and other failed state’s citizens who are in diaspora as refugees, That, is, if you don’t get rid of PF. Your PF govt is the recipe for civil war waiting to happen, very soon.

    • Wantashi…
Am sorry my brother am in Zambia and I have family here…so any thoughts of a civil war doesn’t sit right with me…so am just asking you to comment in a way that people will read your comments and learn something. ..even me am ready to listen to you..just be careful my friend. ..thanks and God Bless

  5. Dr Scott and camp should realise that it’s actually the Late President Sata who has set up Lungu to fix and humiliate them after the late realised that Scott and co. were not loyal to him. Typical Sata style he groomed up Lungu to do justice. Chibemba chitila “mumbwe ukulila eshibe uko ashintilile elyo impofu nga lya sosa aliti nala kulasa ilibwe ninshi nali nyanta pelibwe”.

    • What are you saying? Today I came across a list of the main languages in Africa. Bemba did not make the list, but Chinyanja was on the list. Try using it if you want to be understood.

  6. “Ms Wina clarified that all the nine aspirants are still in the race…”

I thought Miles Sampa resigned from the race? I read the letter where he categorically resigned. So Ms Wina your clarification has just muddied the waters for me.

If indeed he has rescinded his resignation, then they are all just pretending to contest, so Christine can win and they can continue robbing Zambia’s coffers.

That’s a cool screen name my friend

You have offered me money to disappear from LT..it’s campaign time my dear friend. ..and we can’t let our guards down…thanks for the offer but there is just alot at stake to just walk away with a million dollars…
I respect your ideas and reasoning. ..and you sound like a true Patriot to me.

But my friend there is a lot at stake in these elections…don’t be mislead by ZWD…you see that’s why you getting confused now as to who is still in the race….

Once again thank you for your offer and God bless and if you have a voter’s card…you know who to vote for..PF

    • Great response Katondo. I expected unpalatable language from you, so in that respect it’s nice to see a comment from you.

I have reservations about PF and would like to see what a different regime would look like. You know maybe, just maybe, without the nepotism ( I have personal observation of this in foreign missions), with more educated people at the helm we can better our Zambia.

Thanking you in return for commending my screen name.

    • @Katondo Boys

Just discovered you’re Saulosi. I am therefore doubling……no tripling my offer to pay you to go away.

  7. Ah – a little dramatic pause before the main event… Wishing the PF massive a peaceful night and an even more peaceful day tomorrow. Johnny-come-lately whoever the Prez candidate is has their work cut out for them (panga wielders should read a dictionary before taking me literally).

  8. PF pliz don’t disappoint your ardent followers who had wished against all odds to have the election done with by Saturday night, instead you have started a game of “verification” We bystanders are not amused by your drama. Sorry we can’t avoid watching it cos its on a wide screen. Anyway go ahead verifying and re verifying your delegates. We hope this will be the last of your games.

  9. Guy Scott, propelled by the disgusting cartel, has tried every trick in the bag, to scamper, to thwart, all efforts at the democratic process within PF, but the tenacity of the committed membership of the party has ensured the cartel must fail.

    • Iwe Chi Car lar Chitutuma, Guy Scott is trying to instill order and discipline into you black people which you lack and all you can see is the cartel myth. 50 years from now Zambia will still be where it is now because of people like you, shame!! Why did Sata opt to go to Europe for medical care when you have UTH in Zambia, makaka iwe, pumbafu.

    • My dear friend Chimbwi..
That’s not nice…please tone down a bit ….if you are Zambian. ..let’s all agree to disagree at some point but in a very sensible and respectful manner…if you don’t like someone’s idea. ..yes you can reply but in an educative manner…..well if you are on this site commenting on Zambian issues. .that means you are Zambian i guess whatever race you are..

      God bless you

      2015 vote PF

      I thank you

  10. Cartel has failed huh? Best news! You mean PF itself has destroyed cartel before other parties have announced how they will destroy cartel and lock him up?

  11. All candidates are in, are you sure? The PF is looking to be more divided with others having conferencyphobia and running away. The central committee said it before so Guy should not run away from the conference he must sleep there to witness the verification. Viva PF and Lungu this time.

  12. WHAT A CONFUSION AND THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WE CAN ENTRUST WITH OUR LIVES,,,,JOKERS WHO CANNOT RESOLVE A SIMPLE MATTER OF ACCREDITATION..HOW CAN THEY MANAGE TO SOLVE MANY PROBLEMS OF THE WHOLE COUNTRY..AM VOTING HH AND VOMITING PF

    • No, its not a simple matter, its HH to blame, i knew he is upto something, he sending his cadres to for accredition so as to go and vote for GBM in order to avoid EL, cant for sure HH see that GBM is not good zambia?, his secret services worked undercover to tell Dr kaseba to go and contest, all this to avoid EL, she is being used yet she does not know, Good centrl comitt to see that their are intruders.

  13. Explains why Dr Kaseba has gone back to lusaka in the presidential chopper to spend the night in the luxury of State House and fly back tomorrow morning. No need to campaign, Guy is doing that for her.

  14. Don’t listen to all this donchi kubeba nonsense. What time do they have to re-register 5,000+ delegates before tomorrow morning? They will vote in the middle of the night while Dr Kaseba is sleeping soundly in State House, saves her the embarrassment of losing in a vote as Guy Scott will report that she did not participate, and he will refuse to answer any questions.

  15. Chimbwe No Plan at peak performance. Indeed VOMIT PF and VOTE HH and UPND.
By the way, Mushota hides in a new pseudonym “jj ndobe or Johnwyeint”. You can not run and hide.., vomit PF!

    • Realist
There no such a thing as bring it on…it’s like you rolling your sleeves…Lungu is not PF and just like Sata was not PF…PF has a ‘we’ word and not ‘I’ or ‘me’ word. That’s the mistake we make in African politics thinking that a political party belongs to an individual. ..we can discuss PF and am ready to engage you in a very friendly and cordial manner…as for now we all don’t know who will stand on PF ticket..so we can just talk about PF

      2015 vote PF

      I thank you

    • Realist
      Lungu’s achievements;
      1. He is sociable as he gets plastered with the electorates
      2. He was anointed by Sata as he left him to act as president
      3. He embezzled his Clients when he represented them as a lawyer
      4. His law practising licence was revoked due to item 3
      5. He had 3 demanding positions at one time, how he managed them, kaya

The list is endless, so niba Lungu tifuna chabe, ba chimwela.

    • Chimbwi
Good points on Lungu..but like I said…Lungu hasn’t yet been nominated…so we can talk about Lungu all day and what if Kambwili gets nominated or GBM…so I think as for now let’s wait and see who gets nominated.

Most bloggers think if you are PF then you don’t like HH…no its PF vs UPND…we are not against individuals. ..HH is our colleague and he is every Zambian’s friend….and he is respected in all the provinces of Zambia. .

      I thank you

  16. ATI there is peace in pf,,,what a joke..pf is in turmoil, what is there now is simply a truce to allow for ka some election,,but watch the space after the results are announced. There will be more resignations and defections ,accusation and betrayals, insults and name calling. This seemingly peace could be as a result of the heavy presence of a 1000 police officers than anything else.

    • So alll u want is violence and nat peace?u really r prayin hard that there b bloodshed, huh?ulimuntu washani iwe wine kanshi

  17. PF should just go. some bloggers think PF actually has someone to lead this nation, what a joke- get rid of PF now. This country needs to get back in line. Good day.

    • Pointer peter
      I like your screen name
But please find time to look around Zambia and ask friends back home here Zambia about what PF has done…did you hear Nevers Mumba saying he will continue with all PF projects…now ask yourself this question. ..if PF did nothing in last 3 years..then what project is Nevers Mumba talking about…I know you are a smart man…just think..even the opposition is now campaigning on PF policies. ..so am sure you now have an idea of who will come out victorious on the 21 of January

  18. What a shambles! Accreditation now,? – no, later – ah, register roll first. Oh that register has been destroyed, lets start afresh. Those who don’t meet the criteria, go back to your homes tomorrow. What is the criteria? ah.. ah, I don’t know because we don’t have the correct information from the provinces. Who votes tomorrow? Well, ah.. ah .. it will be sangwapo!

      2015 vote PF

      I thank you

    • @ katondo boys

Finally you said something which is in the PF DNA.

      “…everything will be ok…”
      When? In 90 days?
      Constitution? It will be ok?
Public Order Act? It will be ok?
Appointment of Justices? It will be ok?
Plundering of Treasury? It will be ok?
      Nepotism? It will be ok?
Non accountability? It will be ok?
Overseas medical check-ups in company of 40 relatives? It will be ok?
Accounting for USD 1,750,000,000? It will be ok?
You constantly laying about Conference? It will be ok?

After three years of “it will be ok” or “within 90 days” do you REALLY think that “it will be ok”?
Whilst I admire your “confidence”, my self can believe that pigs can fly, but to believe that “it will be ok”? Nope.

      Once bitten, twice shy.

  19. Can’t wait to see the backs of these PF maggots. This old lady is out lived her usefulness. You can’t fight nature old woman, just go and play your grandma’s role at home.
When the blood dries you need to rest. You are a wrong person to handle those boys. They will injure you and even do horrible things to you because just like Edgar, they are always under the influence of beer, dagga( green party members) and other hard drugs.
Zambia is not short of leaders to go for vomit.
NEVER AGAIN SHOULD WE ALLOW THE 2011 mistake!

    • Kampo
I hear you my friend. ..just the language please…if UPND wins…well and good..and if we are all true patriots. .we will stand behind UPND and move forward as one United Zambia. …and if PF wins…which is most likely. .we expect all Zambians to work together…the time of hateful politics is behind us…let’s unite and pat each each other’s backs and give credit were it’s due.

      2015 vote PF

      I thank you

  20. UPND cadres please focus on your party and HH.leave our beloved PF to us its lovers because no matter what,we shall still vote for PF.so u waste your time by lobbying our votes!”UMUNTU NI LUNGU”!since we PF lovers are in masses across Zambia,we shall happily defeat your HH on 20/01/2015 and beyond!

  21. Just like every organization…
PF had some issues when the late President was in office…i can point out a few. ..like the secrecy surrounding his sickness and most of the times..it was about his whereabouts. ..well, on those two issues, even us PF supporters wanted to know why ,just like Bob Sichinga had mentioned in his conversation with bana Nono. .So we learnt from our misteps and now there will be total openness and clarity in all PF dealings..
    2015 VOTE PF

    I THANK YOU

    • You are conveniently forgetting one “small” detail.

Lungu was “anointed” by the person who was bloated with pain killers and thus legally incapable to make any decision.

By the way, which provision of the “animal constitution” give authority to late Sata (RIP) do decide who is going to be next president.

I always thought that Zambia was “property” of Zambians and Zambians are capable of deciding their future without “help” of illegal private militias or for that matter, after 50 years of “independence” and Statehood, people of Zambia should not be bequested from one politician to his favorite “successor”.

After all, democracy means more than rigged elections or elections conducted in climate of terror.

Sorry, this time no Pf for me.

    • Ops, my apologies for non addressing you. Shall I use “Katondo boys” or “Saulosi” ?

      Have pleasant dreams

  22. Zambians fipuba. How they think of voting for PF, the mother of all confusion and violence brought by the late Cobra? If PF is in disunity, how can they bring unity in the country? Same goes for MMD.

  23. @Katondo Boys -But you are truly blind politically. I really doubt if you are screwed tightly in your grey matter.Surely you are still denying that PF is full of illiterates & useless katondo thugs who can not critically analyse their actions & mayhems that PF imprinted in the minds of young Zambian citizenry. In any case, after the convention your party will never be the same as only supporters of the Drunken Master Lungu(DML) will remain in PF.Hoping DML wins at mulungushi rock of confusion so that Flight HH2015 trounce them (DML & Cry Old Spoiler-RB) completely. So you have forgotten all the inter alia: lies, nepotism, corruption, unequal distribution of our finite resource, induced parliamentary by- elections, blotted Moreover, your DML is only popular among the drunkards in LSK…

  24. Where are my comrades Gen and brother Kudos??? The time is coming when we need to mobilise ourselves for the sake of mother Zambia, these minions of HH, these blind and disgusting !diots will be hurling insults at the people’s choice EL, yes the people’s choice not only PF’s choice so lets be ready we must be ready to defend the honour of EL both online and in esle where!!! Viva PF, Viva Edgar Lungu, viva a Zambia moving forward free of tribalism, viva development!!! Viva Edgar!!!

  25. Congratulation PF for resisting evil external influence in the party and standing firm so far. I am sure the General Conference will serve a purpose of getting rid of the deadwood. Luckily, some have started leaving on there own. I call it good riddance because those elements are divisive in nature and a party is better off without them.
The infrastructure being understand currently speaks volumes to masses and the opposition parties. All what is required is unity of purpose within the party and the 2015 Election is all yours.
    VIVA PF VIVA
    ABASH CHANGE ABASH

    • @pipo
But change is what life is all about. Only the dead do not change. Look in the mirror if you have one in that Chitulika village and you will discover that your face has changed; it changes every day. You might have to ask @Vision 2020 to help you with spectacles to see clearly.
WE ARE FOR CHANGE and that is what nature demands.
      FORWARD- NAYE BABA!!

  26. Zambians are not serious with national issues. In a serious nation Lungu cannot even qualify as an MP. He has no character or good reputation. How can the Loser of yesterday in RB be a candidate? It’s only in zambia where such senseless and embarrassing things happen. 50 years of independence and a population of over 13m and this is our thinking, allowing a thug leader Lungu to lead our nation. Not I understand why the cream of zambia keep leaving this country and please stay in the diaspora. Zambia has gone in reverse. I feel hopeless after Sata’s death.

  27. @thrash Metal

    I gree with you.

Party congresses are not easy to organise tha is why king HH simply decided to forego conventions and opted to install himself as chief of staff of his party.
