Sports Zambia await 2015 Cosafa Cup quarterfinal opponent

Zambia will might face Zimbabwe in the 2015 Cosafa Cup quarterfinals of the tournament to be hosted by South Africa this May.

Chipolopolo will kick off their Cosafa Cup defence in the last eight as one of six team’s on bye.

They will await winner from Group A that comprises of Mauritius, Namibia, Seychelles and Zimbabwe.

2013 runner up and four-time champions Zimbabwe find themseleve battling in the preliminaries thanks to their poor FIFA ranking at number 119.

South Africa will host the tournament in the North-West Province from May 17-30.

The tournament was not held in 2014 due to operational reasons.

Group A:Namibia,Zimbabwe, Seychelles, Mauritius
Group B: Lesotho, Tanzania, Madagascar, Swaziland
Quarterfinals:
Ghana-Winner Group B
Mozambique-Malawi
Zambia-Winner A
South Africa-Botswana

  1. If Zimbabwe wins group A…they might face Zambia…..yes LT is correct to use might cause even Namibia can qualify in which case Zim is out…so we can as well say Zambia might face Namibia or Seychelles!
