Political Scientist Alex Ng’oma says there is no need to create the office of the Physician General as proposed by the Zambia Medical Association.
Dr. Ng’oma told QFM News in a telephone interview that there is no need to create such a big office simply to look at the health of one individual.
He said there is need for the Zambia Medical Association to propose something else such as the President going for medical checkups every after three months, which he says is sustainable.

He says in as much as he thinks it is important to monitor the health of the President, there is need for relevant stakeholders to come up with ideas on how best the health of the President will be monitored.
And Dr. Ng’oma says the transparency President Edgar Lungu has exhibited by disclosing his health status is an indication that he is transparent in his governance.

Aini, there simply was no option…. Imagine if one only depended on the like of the Times of Zambia for news which only said ECL “excused” himself from the parade and made no mention of why he had to leave the function!
I agree with Ngoma, no need to spend on examining one person, instead, such an association must be checking up the mental state of voters for a president who are many!

If during the nominations he had told people that he collapses, he wouldnt be president right now. There are people who took some medical records to show that he was not fit. what happenned to them? Lungu didnt say a word because he knnew it was true. But his praise singers and the non christian who pretend to be more than christains were all over. Eveing calling for ethical standards to be effected on the person who had the records just to woodwick the poor zambian gulible voters. Lungu should pay back the money for lying to the zambians that he was fit.

what transparency is this man talking about? Lungu was never honest right from the beginning. When accusations were flying in the media that he was a sick man, he could have told the nation that he was sick before elections. He behaved like a thieving child who continues denying that he or she is not a thief until they get caught ready handed. if he did not collapse in public, there is no way he could have told the nation that he was sick. Lungu is a liar and has now become a liability to the nation!!

Just get a Military doctor from Maina Soko and second him to State House as State House Physician and he can be the official spokesperson on matters of health of the President. It does not cost much more.
It seems Zambia has a lot of qualified analysts who are ready to analyse every issue/situation that happens in the country be it at individual level or pa Nation level, and yet, these same people who are quick at analyzing others and giving their opinion FAIL to do so for themselves.
