    • I THINK AMOS CHANDA IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB. SUCH A PROFESSIONAL.. AND THANKS TO THE EXPERTISE OF THE DOCTORS. SAVING LIFE IS A NOBLE CAUSE. THIS IS INDEED GOOD NEWS FOR ANY NORMAL PERSON, UNLESS OTHERWISE. THANKS FOR THE WORK WELL DONE!!

    • WHY SHOULD SOME ZAMBIANS ALWAYS CELEBRATE TO SEE SICKNESS AND HEAR OF DEATH. IS THIS HOW LOW PEOPLE HAVE SUNK? YOU QUOTE DEATH JUST SO THINGS CAN FLOW YOUR WAY HONESTLY? IS THIS HOW DEMON-POSSESSED YOU HAVE BECOME? ZWD SEEMS TO BE RUN BY DEMONS WRECKING HAVOC IN THE NAME OF PROVIDING CREDIBLE NEWS. WE KNOW MUCH OF IT IS DEMONIC PROPAGANDA! MAY THE LORD JUDGE!!!

    • I already know that Lungu has cancer which needs an operation in one of the Asian countries.

All these bulletins Amos Chanda is issuing are just hot air. Only f00ls will believe that Lungu is getting better after lying that he did not fall.

I am afraid he may come back horizontally in a casket like the others did.

Truth is Zambians should brace them selves for the worst and they should not believe a word Chanda says.

    • So you mean to tell me the President had to fly to RSA for a simple endoscopy!! What an insult to Zambian doctors. It’s time to appreciate the expertise that exists within the borders of Zambia and stop paying other countries millions of dollars. If care abroad was so good we wouldn’t have so many dead Zambian presidents.

    • Since they cut the throat and they sawn it back (in my grandmothers language), is he able to speak immediately or we will continue to hear from Amos only for a while?

    • ”Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”Albert Einstein.
Most Zambian voters are !diots, Edgar and a few of us knew he was sick but he put his hand up because he wants to leave his family something and wasn’t going to turn down a free mansion built by you and me. For as long as Kaponyas are allowed to vote and participate in politics forget about development in Zambia. kulasempelafye kufipatala lyonse.
The amount of money we’ve wasted on Chiluba,Mwanawasa and ba Sata would have built us at least 10 ”Milpark and Morning side” clinics, one in each province. Come 2016 if EL decides to step aside don’t be surprised if you end up with Willy Nsanda as President.

    • The truth is that’s a Paliative treatment not curative treatment. The surgery that was done was to dilate the oesophagus so that he can be swallowing properly .

The sad story is its advanced throat cancer and RB is your President bankusa imwe same Lungu has donchi kubeba on you and RB is your President and is standing as your President in 2016 but l for one am not voting for RB and PF this time around .
l regret voting for this SICKLER,Dictator, cakolwa .mbeba .clueless leader
I call upon all Bembas from LUAPULA AND NORTHERN ,muchinga to show RB that we don’t want his balloon face and withered MA toy LAY in PF.

LET HIM TAKE HIS HEAVY BAGGAGE OF KAINGU,MWALE,MULUSA,MVUNGA,MWANAKATWE,SIMBAO AND 1 POACHED KAPWAYA FROM PF .
WE SAY NONONONONO GO BACK TO MMD AND CAUSE CONFUSION…

    • There will always be people who thrive on negativity. They have no interest in progress, they only bristle at negativity.

      Characteristics of these people
      – jealousy of others
      – miserable personal lives
      – keeping up appearances

I wish Zambia and all its leaders, good health and integrity. May God’s Mercy, Grace and Love shine on Zambia and its people.

    • Zambia is a sick nation. The thinking of most Zambia is too weird. How do you bring in God, when you knew the man you are voting for had serious health issues??

  1. Like I said on the other sites, the procedure which lungu underwent is called insertion on a Procter-Livingstone or celestial end oesophageal tube. This is some form of prosthetic device meant to overcome the stricture ( narrowing) of the esophagus (food pipe) and allow the patient to swallow food without difficulty. Now this procedure is opted for instead of definitive surgery in cases where the cancer causing the stricture is too far advanced and deemed in-operable,,,,, in other words palliative treatment as opposed to curative treatment. palliative treatment goals are simply for symptom alleviation, pain control, improvement of quality of life and comfort. if you read the ZWD update, it fits in snugly with this state of affairs. So for once, Zambians, lets not bury our heads in the sand

    • WEBMAN THINK YOU ARE A DOCTOR LIKE ME.ME AM AN ANAETHETIST AND I KKNOW WHAT THIS IS .
JUST FEEL SORRY FOR AMOS CHANDA LAYMAN WHO DOESNT KNOW WHAT IS TALKING ABOUT AND TO PF CADRES ,MINISTERS AND DEPUTY MINISTERS MINUS UGLY PROF NKANDU LUO,DR CHILUFYA,DR KASONDE AND OUR DRUNKEN DR KATEMA AND THE UGLY NURSE JEAN KAPATA THEM YES THEY KNOW WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT .
YOU GUYS TELL YOUR FELLOW FRIENDS IN PF TO START ORGANISING YOUR LEADER NOW OTHER THAN NYAMA SOYA RB .
IF WE SAY RB IS RULING U, YOU DONT BELIEVE .
The man is very hapi that his plans/ arrangement is working .
WE are warning you and we keep warning you .
The likes of Emmanuel Mwamba,Kalaba,Mwila,Kampyongo,Miles ,Luo ,Yamfwa ,Chikwanda feel sorry you have no idea the master plan RB/LUNGU what they are up to.
      LOOK,SEE…

    • You are just one of these UPND fools with your fellow fools at ZWD who always wish the worst for your political competitors. Good news is that with your continued foolishness, sane Zambians will never vote for you and for your leaders.

  2. What? Tooth extraction procedure and go home within hours? People are educated now, they know procedures and propaganda.

  3. @kanyanta jr, this has nothing to do with ndobo or wanzelu,,, whatever they say will not change the situation from what it is. it is grave and as I was saying above, unbury your head from the sand and begin using some of your brain matter,,,, we will accept even just 10 %. Look closely at Mrs Lungu’s anxiety wrought face above. Somehow I really feel sorry and empathize with her. Not FAIR, she has hardly immersed herself in the first lady goodies and this happens. It reminds me of the story a once poor man who worked really hard to get into the upper class and was always thinking: once I make it , that will be the end of delele, chibwabwa, beans and kapenta. I will only be eating t bone, chicken etc. His hard work pain off and he struck it rich,,, no sooner did this happen was he told

    • The organic delele, chibwabwa, beans and kapenta were infact his savior.

Most Zambians are undernourished even when they should not be because of this wicked misconception that eating delele and the like bucushi.

  4. Prophets of doom!always looking for suiting negative stories- this is what actually stirs people away from doomed evil parties, up N down! Quick recovery to Our El Classico!

    • don’t ever say we in Kitwe, some of us we don’t agree to Lungu way of leadership. those are bad manners to include people who are not in agreement with you

    • KEEP THANKING HIM FOR SHOWING US THE TRUTH THAT IS SICK LESA ALASEBANYA KA PALYA PENE PA CINTU BWINGI AND MILLIONS WATCHING ELYO AKASEBANYA KA EDGAR.
WAS BUSY THREATENING PIPO THEN LESA ATI OKAY LET ME SHOW YOU BA STARD .CHAGWA AGWA AND TELL YOU RB WAS VERY HAPPY WHEN HE SAW THAT ALL HIS HINCHMEN OF MWALE,MULUSA,KAINGU ,SAKWIBA SIKOTA,MVUNGA WERE HAPPY ATI YOUR EXECELLENCY MWAONA .
RB FOND EL IYA CHIPAILA AS IF HE CARES KANSHI DEEP DOWN OVER THE MOON.
PF work up from slumbers tym is now to remove RB he has invaded your bedroom and shagging your wives .
let him form his own Eastern party with Lungu than destroy your PF the way he has destroyed MMD

    • Nope. It reflects the state of the nation. Just think what beneath this tip of the health iceberg for ordinary folks.

  5. Real power struggle! So we can even court death for “the storm to flow our way”? Let us reduce our tension. Why celebrate other people’s miseries? They may backfire to us. Africans lets style up and build our continent, our political affiliations not withstanding. God bless Zambia.

  6. If its cancer I will help to cure it i am just waiting to recommend the medicine to his family. Prophets of doom will once postpone their wishes to a time in future in their families not our President.

They tell you cancer has no cure. I will show u it has provided I will have access to him.

Why should people always rejoice to see illness and death? Is this how much the devil has formatted heads and put in his data?

  7. I THINK AMOS CHANDA IS THE MAN FOR THE JOB. SUCH A PROFESSIONAL.. AND THANKS TO THE EXPERTISE OF THE DOCTORS. SAVING LIFE IS A NOBLE CAUSE. THIS IS INDEED GOOD NEWS FOR ANY NORMAL PERSON, UNLESS OTHERWISE. THANKS FOR THE WORK WELL DONE!!

    • Amos Chanda is well in his difficult responsibility to the nation but even he can’t hide the truth. His latest bulletin was very revealing in it’s lack of detail. To be convincing, his description of the doctor’s treatment strategy could have been at least as detailed as his description of the ailment, achalasia, in his earlier bulletin.

  8. What is a medical procedure? so it means NO SURGERY WAS DONE ON HIM, what about his STATUS is it confirmed that the CD4 COUNT is low and high viral load? Then we better call for early Elections by 2016

  9. Lungu has an “explosive cocktail” of diseases; HIV and AIDS, rotten liver and kidneys, cancer, alcoholism, and the mixology of diseases goes on and on. Lungu is a moving sarcophagus. Stop him from wasting national resources there in South Africa. Self-inflicted tragedy and cataclysm.

I wish Lungu comes in a casket. I hate the man very much, but I know he will be no more before the end of 2016.

The maggot must be buried alive, no one cares.

  10. This president should resign immediately, he is unfit and will never accomplish anything for Zambia. His term will be about trotting from one foreign hospital to another just like the dead snake.

    • @wantashi

Bravo! You hit the bulls eye. You have evoked a subject of great importance which the PF dread to hear.

If Lungu is unfit, he should resign end off.

I am 100% with you on this one.

    • I just love @ wanzelu and Mushota .
Think Mushota is still sleeping as Its too early to wake up in Scotland and cold .
      Wanzelu you are right .
Am PF and I voted for EL ,even though was voting that day ku mukoshi kwalifitile specially when l saw him embrace ci RB knew that we are in for it .
Told my family that my heart is for HH but let me give this Cakolwa a vote alas before I even finished defeacating heard that going to Zimbabwe next was Mfuwe nati elyo lwanya ciwa nshi cakolele.

NSHILEFWAYA NE MBWA IMBEBA SHONSE TELLING ATI MWE BA BEMBA SUPPORT US NAKANA SANA .
HAVE TOLD BONSE MUFIPATALA ATI SEE RUNNING AWAY FROM ZAM HOSP…

  11. Man can Talk, but God has the final say. All negative words are in vain. Wn God was creating man, nobody was there, so our Presidents life is for God, don west time to judge, true or false, God has the final say

  12. @Wanzelu, why do you harbour so much hate against the President and why insult everyone who has a different view from yours? Its inhuman to wish someone dead worse still talk ill of the dead! You may be yapping on the internet but we dont know the status of your health or even the medicine you take before you start insulting your fellow human beings on the internent. You call yourself @ Wanzelu, is the nzelu you brag yourself with to insult your coleagues on social media and wishing someone dead just because you want someone in that office. Let us show civility with our comments on social media, lest we become vuvuzelas!!!

    • @Mweemba

Facts are facts. I warned you about Sata ‘s demise, all I got were insults as usual.

I have come to learn that if I comment on the sickness of a political figure and receive insults, then the political figure is about to kick the bucket within a short time.

Nothing is strange about being sick and dying. Its just a natural course bound to be undertaken by any living being.

What is strange how ever is lying about it because, sickness you can hide and lie about it but the funeral will be in the open.

    • @Mweemba, I don’t know how long you have been patronizing LT. But some of us who have been LT avid readers, we have learned NOT TO PAY MUCH ATTENTION to certain bloggers on this site. Their comments and thought process is so transparent such that it is NOT WORTH YOUR TIME to even try to reason with them. @Wanzelu is one such character. Pick any issue and you automatically know what he is going to say even before you read his comments. He is such a consistent character when it comes to NEGATIVITY—he never disappoints!

There are of course other “lost souls” in the same mold as @Wanzelu; read the headline and you know exactly what they are going to say before they even say it. I suggest save yourself some trouble and just learn to deal with some TR@SHY trolls on here!

    • Iwe ka yambayamba

What positivity do you want people to talk about when the Zambian President is in intensive care, the Zambian economy is in intensive care, fuel pumps are dry, Zambian kwacha is losing value every second?

How can you explain the fact that, Malawi, which once experienced fuel shortages is now doing fine and their Kwacha is getting stronger every day?

Explain why Zambian kwacha is falling while Malawian Kwacha is gaining against the dollar, when Malawi has no mines like Zambia and has bigger population than Zambia living on a land far smaller than Zambia.

If calling a spade a spade is negativity, then its absolutely brilliant because thats what brings about change for the better.

I find it absolutely weird to be positive about any thing PF.

    • @wanzelu, you can comment and make your point on anybody’s health/sickness without sounding like a merchant of death himself. That is what is so bothersome about your attitude towards these matters!

Just because politicians are public figures doesn’t mean they can be subjected to ridicule, innuendo, and all manner of abuse about their illnesses. Remember these people are humans just like you and mean. They get sick and unfortunately some even die. But what is troubling is to see people like yourself derive so much pleasure in RUBBING IT IN. Especially if the person caught up in these unfortunate circumstances is of a different political persuasion to that of UPND. Tell you what, unless you folks are made of steel, sickness and death is only a matter of time for you too!

    • @yambayamba

If your PF minons would state the real facts as they are on the ground, no one would be commenting like I do.

When PF choose to distort the facts, it then becomes the duty of well meaning Zambians like me to tell it like it is.

I am really fade up with PF ‘s stupid antics of denying the obvious.

Just the other day, your Amos Chanda made a f00l of himself by lying to the BBC which has eyes to see what ever goes on in Lungu ‘s life better than his wife that Lungu did not collapse? Really?

Chipuba Mukanga going by Sata’s words, lied that there was no fuel shortage in Zambia. Why are the fuel pumps dry then?

Chikwanda also lied the other day that the fall in Kwacha is due to a global trend as a result of strengthening US $. Why then is the Malawian Kwacha…

    • @Yambayamba

Be careful with your choice of words like MERCHANT OF DEATH.

The real MERCHANTS OF DEATH right now is PF. How many people have lost their lives as a result of PF ‘s direct or indirect actions? The worst part is that no one has been arrested so far.

The killers of Glazier Matapa are still roaming the streets looking for another of PF ‘s assignment to kill with impunity.

Just look at the state of our hospitals; appalling . Don’t you think it is the reasom why Zambia will continue to loose presidents?

If PF would prioritise health care, certain illnesses like what Lungu has would have been diagnosed a long time ago to avoid complications he is going through at the moment.

Unfortunately, PF thinks poor health care does not affect them because they can fly to…

    • @Wanzelu: Here are some headlines from around the world for you chew on:

    • 8. Weaker Latin American currencies against the US dollar next year:
Latin American currencies will lose value against the US dollar in 2015 because of the strong US recovery and lower commodities’ prices

      9. (August 27, 2013) Latin American Currencies Lose Value Against U.S. Dollar: In what has been a rough three months for some of the major economic forces in South America, the currencies in Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela are falling in comparison to the U.S. dollar – drawing comparisons to the low levels reached during the 2008 financial crisis.

(Apparently, in certain regions this problem started years ago)

    • 10. (05 March 2015) South African Rand Forecast to Fall as USD Demand Set to Grow: The South African Rand exchange rate complex (ZAR) is forecast to weaken through the course of 2015.

      13. (Friday 13 March 2015) Pula hits 7-month low against dollar: Botswana pula has broken the P9 psychological mark against the dollar since February, the local currency weakened against the greenback and other major trading currencies.

    • So you see @Wanzelu, it is NOT only the ZK which is depreciating against the US dollar. In fact some countries started experience this problem years back. It is only that the trend has finally hit our country. It is a phenomenon being experienced all around the world, even in neighboring countries to the USA. If the Malawian Kwacha is performing better against the dollar, God bless Malawi. One hopes it is not due to currency manipulation on the part of the Malawian Govt.

All I can say to you @Wanzelu is that sometimes try to read widely and get facts before committing yourself to a singular school of thought. I believe you can do this if simply remove your UPND political blinders and stop trying to sound informed and smart.

    • And please be positive about your country for once. It is NOT all doom and bleak. Yes, we have our own challenges as a country, but what country on earth doesn’t?

Nonetheless, the kind of “pathological negativity” you seem to have towards everything Zambian is poisonous and does not add value to any civil discourse or solve anything. Just saying!

    • Quote: “Just look at the state of our hospitals; appalling . Don’t you think it is the reasom why Zambia will continue to loose presidents?

If PF would prioritise health care, certain illnesses like what Lungu has would have been diagnosed a long time ago to avoid complications he is going through at the moment…”

@Wanzelu, all this is very true! But the way you talk or discuss these issues is NOT by writing demeaning, derogatory, and insulting commentaries against the President. Doing so only puts people on the defensive and they STOP listening to what you have to say as the OPPOSITION. These problems have been decades in the making. They didn’t just start when PF won. Be assured, even if UPND wins next years elections, these problems will NOT magically disappear!

    • Mweemba..that is the problem with you PF cadres. Always, misunderstanding simple things. No wonder the Zed economy is going downwards. Wanzelu does not harbor any hatred for anybody..he is a factual and realistic person – he analyzes issues as they are without adding or subtracting anything. But with your PF, calling a spade a spade is harboring hatred! For me and Wanzelu, we interpret calling a spade a spade as being factual. What is wrong with you chaps kansi – that is why you perpetually vote for visionless scums. Be real and factual for a change. People like you along with your PF are a danger to both the current and future survival of Zambia. Try calling a hyena a hyena.

    • @Yambayamba

Its good to see that we can agree to disagree. I wish this was the way politics is conducted on the ground in Zambia.

Why have you avoided the question about why a small country like Malawi which is very close to us, with a bigger population than Zambia has its currency appreciating every day that passes?

Its from such close examples that any right minded economist should be drawing parallels.

Its utter folly to compare Zambian economy to Canada and the UK.

Even when you analyse those figures you were quoting, you will realise that, the fall in those currencies is negligible compared to the way Zambian Kwacha is falling.

Point of correction though, UK pound is not under pressure from the US dollar.

What about the fuel situation? Why the lies?

    • @Yambayamba

Why is MALAWIAN kwacha APPRECIATING against the US dollar?

Why is MALAWI not experiencing fuel shortages like Zambia?

Give these questions to your bosses.

    • @ Yambayamba. I agree with you on your foreign exchange analysis. The US $ is so bullish that 1 Euro is likely to be equal to 1 US$ for the first in the history of the Euro. My beef with the PF government is on the fuel shortage. The Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) is an emergency fuel storage of oil maintained by the US Department of Energy which was started in 1975 after oil supplies were cut off during the 1973-74 oil embargo, to mitigate future temporary supply disruptions. The oil is stored in huge underground caverns and can last about 160 days. Why can’t Zambia have a similar arrangement? I know the Department Energy started constructing some storage tanks under MMD. Did the PF abandon this important project?

  13. all of you writing bad coments be carefull some one very close to you may kick the bucket as soon as you will finish writing your e diotic comments. believe me it will happen. likes of wanzelu be carefull. fuzi!!!!!!!

    • Death is no stranger to real humans who face reality. I have just finished posting the comment and nobody close to me has died.

Its this superstitious mentality of most of you Zambians thats destroying our democracy. This failure to accept facts being presented to you is what continues to make Zambia a very poor country.

If Zambians don’t change their attitude Zambia is gona be even poorer than Zimbabwe soon.

We told you Lungu is sick and azagwa mange mange, you called us names and insulted us. What is happening to your fit as a fiddle Lungu of yours?

Hate me like me I dont give a fu***ck as long as I have stated the truth.

    • @ yambayamba you are among the intellects have ever come across. If people can debate issues with a sound mind like yos we can ve sanity on the online media. @wadalo @ sido mark are the waste of humans the sperms have ever produced. Oh sorry

  14. I am still trying to link achalasia with low blood sugar in a person who lives in abundance of all sorts of foods. Still cant make sense out of this. I am only settling on either a chronic systemic illness or self induced morning short sickness. Most people call it hangover. In countries south of Zambia, it is famously referred to us paparasi

    • I believe the South African colloquial word you are referring to is Babalaz and NOT paparasi, paparasi (correctly spelled paparazzi) is slang for reporters who hound celebrities.

    • It’s very common that a medical condition may affect the way the body takes in and digests food. If digestion is impaired, the patient may have low blood sugar as a result of the digestive impairment or effects of medical condition.

It happens also that long term conditions may lead to malnutrition in patients who are eating or have difficulties in eating.

There is very little to ‘scratch the head’ about in this case.

  15. Thank God, it’s so. Please come back home. Mutembo and his colleagues in the cartel are about to issue a nolle on your powers!

  16. mwemba, you are are right!!! this wanzelu thing sickens me. very sily person ,he is if he is a man.may be this wanzelu thing is actually the under five himself .

  17. Now we are just waiting for another collapse by our visionless lungu

Now warn him to tell amos chanda not to be twisiting his sickness information.chanda said lungu did not collapse while the pictures are indicating on different media agencies .This kind of straying citizens by changing the information is bad

  18. Lusaka Times is a very professional online media. It balances its reporting. The ZWD could as well do better if they emulated LT.Always being negative about PF and supporting one known political party at any cost is highly unprofessional…..no one is interested in fabricated stories meant to promote hate in this Country.

    • I wonder why you guys from time to time stray into the ZWD territories! Just don’t visist that site and all will be well with you!…I stopped reading their lies funded by Hypnotised Hyena a long time ago!

    • ZAMBIAN WATCHDOG IS THE BEST SITE TO GET THE TRUTH .
ZAMBIA REPORTS IS PRO RB AND LUNGU COZ COME FROM THE SAME MBEBA KINGDOM SAME AS DAILY NATION ITS A SHINDA PAPER FOR RB AND LUNGU NOW.
LUSAKA TIMES 60% IS PRO PF AND 40% NEUTRAL
ZNBC IS STINKING ROTTEN DONT EVEN LISTEN TO IT.
WILL KEEP VISITING ALL SITES SOME IS JUST TO LAUGH AT IT.
YAMBA YAMBA IS EMMANUEL MWAMBA OR KAMBWILI
NEVER MIND ABOUT THEM ,SOON WILL BE TRASHED BY RB THE WAY HE HAS TRASHED THEM KU INFORMATION ANND MALAYSIA WHERE ONE HAS TOTALLY REFUSED TO PACK HIS BAGS AND GO

  19. We praise the Lord for the healing power to heal our President . This lowering of sugar diabetic . Protect yourself carry some sweeties with you wherever you go. Safety kwiisunga wemwine ba mwisho. Miners slogan for safety. All the best Mr. President.

  20. Can this man continue to be the president with all these ailments?
Achalasia, diabetes, HIV, liver damage, kidney failure and impotence.
What a liability he has become to the nation. My prayer for him is that he may resign or live until the elections next year, otherwise another funeral would send the Zambian economy into doldrums. A fact will always remain a fact. The Doctors in South Africa refused to do a surgery due to the advancement in all the above ailments, a procedure is just a temporary measure for now. There is no way he can be discharged immediately after surgery. Let no one lie that surgery was done. No matter how easy they put it, the problem is still there. This is just like burying kapinga grass and claiming that all is when it is still growing under.

  21. Wasting money when you have hospitals in Zambia. Just die . If you worked hard to improve hospitals in Zambia i would wish you well but now i dont

  22. Yes, prayer is good but praying for Lungu is like firing a gun randomly without knowing the target. Lungu is on a path of self destruction, alcohol is bad for both diabetes and HIV. How do you ask God to heal someone who continues taking poison? A person who wants to lose weight cannot continue to eat bars of chocolate and cakes every day.

  23. Zambians in the Diaspora have a very distorted view of Zambia because of the trash they read in the ZWD. The strategy of writing trash has made it very popular and it would be naïve to expect the ZWD to change a winning formula. Expect more outlandish claims as it seeks to maintain its popularity. But that is not to say all is well in Zambia. The current fuel shortage is inexcusable. While the storage of fuel for emergencies in the USA is overflowing leading to the current low price of fuel in Zambia the storage tanks have run dry. Is this lack of vision on the part of government as UPND members claim, “Chimbwi no Plan” or something to that effect.

    • You are indeed a disgrace to the engineering fraternity. However, I applaudly congratulate you for doing most of the engineers a favor by retiring. I recommend you also retire from blogging – you will do us another big favor. What good is there in PF that ZWD should report. PF is a visionless party full of scumbags, thieves, liars, thugs, etc, etc. Somebody wakes up & declares Chipata a city & you call a good developmental deed that ZWD should cherish. I pray you stay retired in everything.

    • TPT is transport in the military circles, so I assume you are in the military. These are some of the house rules of the UK Daily Mail.
Rule no.1.Readers should see and understand different points of view.
Rule 2: You can express a strong opinion but please do not go over the top. Don’t forget that you are legally responsible for what you submit….many different types of people of different ages may view your comment.
Rule 3: Please be polite. Do not use swear words or crude or sexual language. Keep your submissions relevant to the story or topic. Do not insult other contributions
Rule 5: You must not make or encourage comments which are defamatory, false or misleading; insulting, threatening or abusive…….
So I won’t insult back although these rules apply only in the civilized world.

  24. Read between the lines…Only a f**l would believe Amos’ vague statement for example he doesn’t tell you how long the operation was…he merely “states that specialists managed the condition accordingly” and what exactly took place…he has covered himself in such a way that in two months he can state that President Lazy never went under the knife.
I will have to believe ZWD or a medical doctor for now not spindoctors.

    • @jayjay

Lungu is in intensive care because of underlining health issues as we speak. Doctors have done their best.

  25. Chota on number8 its not the job of presidence that is killing our leaders BUT LEADERS ARE GOING FOR THIS JOB WHEN THEY 100%KNOW THEY ARE NOT WELL.Same with Late Mwanawasa after stroke he still went for 2nd term and died later.Mr Sata became sick while in opposition, evacuatef to RSA but a year later stood for presidence even when he was fainting during campaigns won elections but died later. The current one it was said he was also sick and weak but still won elections within a month we are footing hospital bills. These selfish leaders are very UNFAIR TO THE NATION.

  26. Being non-partisan, let me abitrate . political animosity ends in the ballot box unless the court intervenes, Wishful thinking won’t help. Judge the performance and criticise positively if need be. Peace and tranquility in Zambia should not be taken for granted. We in Kenya learnt it the hard in 2007. Pray for EL’s quick recovery and beat him hands down in 2016 should he fail to deliver. Judge the works. Your vote is your weapon. Anybody can lead as long as he/she has the qualities and is people-minded.

  27. STATE GOVERNANCE TO HYENAS AND DOGS like mervis,Brian monde, kanyanta,Chile, chota, man Kenya, kalanga, enka, humka, fact man,rk,chitutuma, twapenga including those wildogs not mentioned. I say you’re hyenas and dogs because even when you see danger ahead of you,you still believe everything is OK! It seems you guys fooliness and stupidity has overridden you!! Honestry, one month in office and you are already spending state money on sickness which you already knew!! Its being foolish and you think you made a wise decision to put lungu in state house?? Now when others say he’s sick then you insult them, it’s all madness!! You and me we are suffering together and no one shall ever take you to SA when you fall sick!!!! Bayibwa babantu, vilima!!

  28. YOU PEOPLE SURPRISE ME. DO U EXPECT THE FREEMASON TO BE HAPPY ABOUT LIFE? THE THRIVE ON BLOOD AND DIRT AND WILL NOT STOP UNTIL THEY GET THEIR WAY OR THEY ARE COMPLETELY DEFEATED. HAVEN’T U WONDERED WHY SINCE HH BECAME A CONTENDER FOR THE PRESIDENT’S OFFICE NO SITTING PRESDIENT HAS EVER FINISHED A TERM. MWANAWASA’S LONG CONDITION JUST BECAME SERIOUS AFTER 2006, SATA’S 8 YEARS AGO HEART PROBLEM ONLY BECAME SERIOUS AFTER HE BECAME PRESIDENT, AND LUNGU’S 30 YEARS AGO FOOD PIPE PROBLEM ONLY BECAME SERIOUS AFTER HE GETS TO STATEHOUSE. WHY DOESN’T HH WANT TO GIVE CHANCE TO HIS FELLOWS TO TRY THE PRESIDENCY? BECAUSE HE KNOWS WHAT HE DOING. SO DON’T GET SURPRISED WHEN THE DEVILS CELEBRATE THE SUFFERING AND DEATHS OF OTHER PEOPLE, ITS NATURAL TO THEM. BE WIDOWED OR ORPHANED, SO LONG THE…

  29. You continue to pray for liars…where is Sata today? You don’t even know what killed him but you are the selfsame people who wasted money on a walking coffin!

  30. Wanzelu – You & Sara, I really give you a lot of respect for your truth & honesty in your comments. What you always comment is reality – you don’t beat about the bush. Straight to the point. They say, the truth hurts – so, be it. Zambians never cease to amuse me, it is like they are a cursed lot. Why vote for somebody who is sick? I will not be surprised they will vote for Willie Nsanda in 2016 to continue the legacy of visionless. Viva Wanzelu & Sara – keep preaching & commenting the truth..a few sensible Zambians may learn from your realistic comments & factual analysis of issues.
Viva Wanzelu & Sara – Abash pretenders & liars!

  31. I have come to like Wanzelu because he is a man of his own words. He speaks the truth as it is without twisting it. The fact will always be a fact. Those who do not want to accept the facts are being delusional to themselves. If there was no deception from the beginning, there would have been no negative comments. it is like a child taught not to accept when an elderly person farts in their presence. Let the truth be told as it is.

  32. This statement wreaks of the “CALM THE MASSES AND BY TIME STRATEGY”. quote “…. he has been asked to return in a few weeks time”. Of course there is follow up required after many complicated procedures however in this case it sounds like not much could be done. It seems more like Lungu is suffering from some chronic condition that requires a specific medical procedure that he not get done in Zambia. Ever since the time Lungu disappeared during the height of the campaign he has found a reason to leave the country every four weeks. Now they have set us up and are telling us in advance Lungu will be leaving in a few weeks. I am glad he is doing better but there is more to this story.

  33. wanzela, us believe wen someone said something bad we send them back to the sender so the words u said abt our president a falling back on u, iam also afraid tt u may come back horizontally in a casket like others

  34. Iye mayo nafwaee ba first Lady is advertising the breasts. read what is written there .Zambians note that when you are sick you are sick . there is no substitute to that .Lungu is sick whether you pray for him or not he is sick , God has put his graph . If the lords day has come no one can change it . If it is death just prepare for it . all of us will die but when your day that the lord has done comes no one changes it , God is not corrupt who should change your dying day to another date just because you prayed no no no .your day is your day period . so if lungu dies , it will be the day that the Lord prepared for him . Let us just be ready for it . imfwa imo ine . nangu mulanda nangu umukankala chimo chine .after all we should be more worried when a poor male parent dies because the

  35. When the president dies the relatives , don’t suffer they will remain reach throw out their lives . but the poor man’s banja will remain in poverty for ever . God is watching

  36. bt basabinah kwena muli fontini sana kumona fye ne shina lyakale cant u know tt free breast cancer screening is in progress? visit the hospital an get test so tt laugh well those who a sick

  37. I am not Zambian but I would like to advise you brothers and sisters. We all have freedom of speech in our countries but it seems like you Zambians are taking it too far. Is that what a Christian nation should do? No! Please respect your leaders and God will see you through, no matter how tough challenges could be. Why so much hatret towards your leaders? Is that what you call Christianity? There is no perfect person on earth, you that is insulting included. God allowed His Excellency President Edgar Chagwa Lungu to become the President of Zambia and no human being or the devil himself can do something about it. Whether we like it or not, his name is on the list of the Presidents of Zambia. It is only God that knows how long he will rule Zambia. God bless Zambia!!

    • God does not approve of manipulative liars to rule over a people, Its either the peoples choice or the rulers choice and in this case both. They knowingly voted in a sick person and please do not use God’s Name in Vanity..

    • I 100% concur with Efas. Do not use God’s name in vanity. Because of tribalism, the Zambians knowingly voted in a sick person. In other words, Zambians have voluntarily elected to curse themselves and so, it shall be. No doubt history will repeat itself in 2016 again.

  38. Thank you Grace for your comment being a non-Zambian. I also intervened recently after reading these comments for many months. Freedom has responsibilities , Romans chapter13 asks us to respect our leaders. Active politics end on the swearing-in day and people get down to real business thereby raising their economy. Tribal animosity builds up by and by, from misused freedom. Tolerating and embracing one another’s divergent views without necessarily enquiring his origin can take Zambia far. Do not misuse this platform you use to express your emotions or blame it once things get out of hand. GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  39. We give thanks to God Almighty for His great favour in the health matters of our President.

May He continue to favour our President in all he does for us.

As for myself, I have complete faith in President Lungu being the best option for Zambia. May his season be successful in the time he is granted. We have seen so many spectacular political manoeuvres in the last few weeks that prove how wise and able His Excellency is.

At this time we pray for him. We hold him up before Christ The King, whom we have Faith in; His Healing Power will overwhelm the dark in all it’s form. For He is Able superbly at ALL times to overpower all human weakness. Yes, the Holy Spirit has revealed God’s Favour on His Excellency. President Lungu, Sir, ARISE in Faith you are healed. Celebrate and…

    • Me too, I support Wanzelu he makes sense and tells the truth just like ZWD gives the balancing act in the news. We wouldn’t have known what is behind ELs sickness had we relied on other news.

  40. Zambia is a sick nation. The thinking of most Zambia is too weird. How do you bring in God, when you knew the man you are voting for had serious health issues?

  41. LET’S SEE HOW THEY PULL THIS ONE…WE ARE NOT FOOLS. YOU HAVE CHEATED US ONCE BUT YOU KNOW WHAT THIS TIME WE WON’T BUY YOUR LIES. MWEBANTU LESA TAFWEPYA..

  42. I am surprised that Mr Chanda chooses to use meaningless words such as “medical procedure” why not just say opperation? Medical proccedure can be anything from consultation, prescription for medicine or even cleaning of ears. So what is this medical procedure mwebantu? This a president we are talking about. People deserve to know the truth and in titality and not half truths. This is the reason why people end up trusting all sorts of crap.
