State House Deputy Minister Mulenga Sata says no one should be made to pay to have access to State House.

Mr Sata says access to the presidency by any Zambian with a pressing issue regardless of their status in society should be as easy as possible.

He says President Edgar Lungu is President for all Zambians thus anyone wishing to see him should be given an opportunity to do so.

Mr Sata says corruption by officers at State House to fix appointments will not be tolerated.

Mr. Sata adds that people with issues that require the attention of the presidency should be free to go to State House.

Green Party leader Peter Sinkamba has requested for a meeting with President Edgar Lungu to discuss strategies to address current economic challenges the country is facing, including the depreciating Kwacha.

Mr. Sinkamba says among the strategies he intends to discuss with the President is the conceptual framework for the proposed US$ 10 million pilot Green Gold Medicinal Marijuana Investments Project.

He says the meeting with the President is being coordinated by the Presidential Aide for Project Implementation and Monitoring Lucky Mulusa.

Mr. Sinkamba hopes that President Lungu will give the pilot project the favorable and urgent consideration it deserves stating that the project if granted license to take-off will become a model not only for Zambia, but Africa as a whole in terms of cultivation, processing, dispensing and export of medicinal marijuana.

He adds that the current economic challenges Zambia is facing today are not a problem for government alone but for every one whether in government or opposition.

He says there is need to start thinking outside the box by coming up with unconventional and creative thinking strategies to grow the economy of the country substantially.

Mr. Sinkamba says people need to come up with innovative strategies that increase exports, taxation, fees and levies so that in the long-run the country grows its domestic and export revenue base considerably.

He states that it is only through increased export revenue base that the Kwacha will be strengthened significantly, and not rhetoric on either side.

  1. This Green Party guy is a big joke. Let him write a paper to present to petition the parliamentarians on passing a bill legalizing weed.

    • MR SATA SAID REGARDLESS YOUR STATUS,PRESIDENT LUNGU GIVES AUDIENCE TO ANYONE COZ ED IS NOT TRIBAL LIKE YOU.GET THAT IN YOUR THICK SKULL!

  2. Is this a confirmation that Kaiser Zulu indeed received some cash from a Chinese businessman to fix an appointment with EL?

  3. What does the first part of the story have to do with the second part? Are we to deduce that Mr. Sinkamba paid Mr. Mulusa for the said appointment?

  4. Mulenga Sata is just a tw@t. His own father was busy charging visitors through Chellah. That’s how Chellah became rich with several houses. He should just ask Kaizer Zulu to share the $200,000 with him. That’s the PF way of doing business and running the country.

  5. Well, the call appears genuine from the outlook. However president Lungu and his PF party are aware of the pressing issues and should implement party policies outrightly. Zambians are not interested in a”public relations” president offering cheap rhetoric lip services.

  6. This is exactly what EL said on his inauguration, but the truth of the matter is that it is NOT EASY TO SEE EL.I personally was told that you cannot see EL on IDEAS of roads , marines and railways go and see the minister incharge. Now the minister incharge is not a civil engineer so he refered me to RDA CEO who is not a roadsman too but a water engineer so nothing could be discussed hence i just left for LESOTHO where iam working without seeing the president

  7. Does it mean everyone with a pressing issue should present it to state house? Please Zambians, there are a tandem of social economic mayhems in all aspects of human development under PF & this does not need sky rocket scientists or state house visitations! Can we demand a revolt for these failures!

  8. Yes state house should be accessible to all. During Kaunda era as president, we used to pour into state house like flood gate water. Those were days of liberation struggle for Rhodesia and South Africa. I mean if Kaunda wanted us school pupils to denounce Ian Smith and John Vorster, all Lusaka schools would be galvanized into a mass and match to state house unrestricted while chanting ‘we want war, we want war, we want war’.

  9. Guys, mulenga has said nothing to be criticised about. He simply said it is free to enter statehouse no matter who or what you are. constructive critisismn is good but when we just talk anything goes to show the academic level of our education
