Vice President Wina arrives in Abuja, Nigeria for Pres. Buhari’s inauguration

Vice President Inonge Wina has arrived in Abuja, Nigeria ahead of tomorrow’s inauguration ceremony of Muhammad Buhari as President of the West African Nation.

The Zambian Vice President arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at about 17:55 hours Nigerian local time aboard the Emirates plane.

Ms. Wina , accompanied by Deputy Minister in her office Chungu Bwalya, was received at the airport by Zambia’s Acting High Commissioner to Nigeria Maynard Misapa, Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Rayford Mbulu and Embassy staff from the Zambian Mission in Nigeria.

Ms. Wina will represent President Edgar Lungu at the inauguration ceremony which will be held in the capital Abuja at the Eagles Square.

Meanwhile several other Heads of States and representatives of various countries have been arriving in the capital city of Nigeria to witness the swearing in ceremony of the new president amidst tight security.

The Nigerian flags are flying on all poles and street light poles ahead of tomorrow’s event.

  1. Why is Lungu nervous about entering Nigeria, is it because of RB connections and the campaign related monies? If you look in recent presidential inaugurations, this is the only one RB will miss.
