THE Patriotic Front (PF) says only subcommittees have been dissolved leaving the central committee intact.
Some sections of the media have reported that the Central committee had been dissolved but PF deputy secretary general Mumbi Phiri in an interview clarified what she meant when she said the subcommittees have been dissolved;
“What we have dissolved are sub committees such as the committee on health headed by the chairperson Joseph Katema, the youth committee headed by honourable Chishimba Kambwili and others.”
She said the position of chairperson in the subcommittees has not been touched because only the president has powers to appoint the chairperson.
She said all positions will be filled soon adding that the positions of chairman can only be filled through presidential appointment.
Ms Phiri complained that journalist have the tendency of misquoting facts when it is clear what she was saying.
“Some journalists are not professional, they played the clip on radio but failed to interpret what I said,” she said.
She appealed to journalists to clarify facts whenever they were not clear than rushing to report on things they are not clear of.
Is it the responsibility of journalists to interpret what you say or it their responsibility to report what you say? You politicians have a tendancy of denying what you say in the name of being misquoted
If these people can’t express themselves properly in English, why can’t they just use local languages so that they are not misquoted
It’s the inability of Bemba politicians to express themselves in proper English that leads to claims of misreporting. Not all Zambians speak Bemba and you will not be interpreted correctly if you insist on speaking your ethnic language.
These are the consequences of appointing illiterates as Chief Executive Officers of the party. There are capable people with great communication skills in PF who can be appointed to head such a critical department but lo and behold…. It’s seems Mumbi is the only one in PF who complains about being misquoted. I can confess she is a very fluent and a good public speaker in Bemba but sadly those nice attributes do not extend to the Queen’s language
YES ITS GOOD TO DISSOLVE THE KAMBWILI AND KATEMA SCHEMES WHICH ARE WROTTEN. KAMBWILI IS AFTER SOMETHING. WE SAW HIM INSULTING THE LUNGU AT THE HERO STADIUM DURING THE INDEPENDENCE DAY BEFORE SATA DIED. THERE ARE GUYS IN HIDING WHO ARE THEIR TO KICK OUT LUNGU IN 2016 BY CLAIMING TO A NEW CONVENTION.

Mama PF secretary you should attend communications skills lessons to learn how to communicate with the media.
How come you are the only one being misquoted? It is becoming clear that you are not up to the job and you are becoming a liability to the PF party. You are creating more problems for the party each time you speak . Perhaps it is time to let others do the talking. President Lungu please remove this woman because she gives you more heartache .
