National Youth Development Council (NYDC) Chairman Savior Chishimba has instructed his lawyers to commence legal proceedings against Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) over allegations of abuse of funds at the council.

And Dr. Chishimba has called for a forensic audit at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and NYDC for the period 2003 to 2014.

Dr. Chishimba says the unverified statements by Transparency International Zambia (TIZ) including reference to outdated Cabinet circulars call for stern legal action.

Addressing media press briefing, Dr.Chishimba says he represents international corporate entities in Zambia with multimillion dollar investments whose interests have been put in jeopardy by TIZ’s libelous statements.

He says if TIZ believes in transparency, they would have gone further to also reveal what the expenditures in question were meant to achieve.

Dr Chishimba adds that the impression created by such vexatious and frivolous statements is that funds were being drawn for personal projects and yet the many activities that were being carried out have deliberately been ignored.

And Dr. Chishimba, who has refused to step down in view of the allegations, says senior officials in the Ministry of Sports must be sent on leave to allow for their investigation.

He says government should immediately constitute a combined team of investigators from the Anti Corruption Commission, Zambia Police and the Drug Enforcement Commission (DEC) to thoroughly investigate senior officials in the ministry and NYDC.

    • Saviour Chishimba is not a Doctor. He just masquerades as one. he is good friends with Kambwili and in fact got the job thru those connections.

  1. Chishimba don’t implicate innocent people, your master is no longer at youth and sport, you bootlicker. Just step down.

    • How can natola fye step down….theft and kleptocracy runs in the blood of the congo descendant looters…..monkey in a maize field cannot leave on own accord….how?

    • #MonkeysInTheMaizeField# indeed. He even has no shame, trying to contest the uncontestable. He should be apologising and slunking off in shame to his village, instead of engaging lawyers.

  2. Calling other tribes monkeys sound right to you than for others to talk about your tribe. When we talk about your tribe you cry

    • Its very true…calling one a monkey is more of an insult than reminding someone about his poligamous culture. But look at the noise our freinds are making. These are the things we try to remind our freinds selfish behaviour which they misinterpret for tribalism when in fact we just remind them of facts on the ground.Leave Chama alone.

    • Don’t know why when one man steals, they want to generalize that all from that tribe are thieves. So Liatos tribesmen are all thieves?

  3. ZAMBIA A CHRISTIAN COUNTRY HAS ALOT OF HATE BETWEEN TRIBES.THE ISSUE HERE IS ABOUT THE MONEY ABUSED BY A BODY CHISHIMBA IS HEADING. Y SHUD BEMBAS THE UNPRETENDING MONKEY EATERS BE BROUGHT IN? BEMBAS WILL ALSO RETALIATE WITH THEIR ‘AMALUMBO’.IN ISLAM WE BELIEVE IN PEACE BUT TO LEAVE BEHIND A NATION THAT HAS SHOWN TENTACLES OF WANTING EXTERMINATE MY FAMILY AND NATION.

  4. Saviour Chishimba is a crook. Let him have his day in court. He has appealed to Ceaser, to Ceaser he shall go! I am pretty sure that the evidence is there that he’s abused his office.

There must be transparency in the manner of appointments to positions such as that of Saviour Chishimba. What qualifications did the appointing authorities consider?

  5. In this country, we Bembas have got the right to lead and steal. Leave us alone. We have turned crime and theft into an art.

If you can’t steal from your job “lobe”. Nizako. UmuBemba pa Nchito afwile aiba, Chapwa, e ifunde.

We have got the right to stay in a lodge and burn a quarter of a million dollars in less than half a year. Nga ni Nebo I am a former second lady. My cash burn rate is 70$/hour when I am at a lodge. This translates into $1600/day, which is basically $300,000 in half a year, excluding my hair and nails.

We even fish when there is a fish ban.

We shall continue to loot. We are Bemba. Yes we are!!!!!

Twalikwata ubulwele, pakuti upole Ichishimba Kuiba.

  6. You r right this crook got this job from one copperstone graduate, just look at how he occupied the Commonwealth offices despite being told that it’s against the Commonwealth constitution by the technocrats. You see now baby elephant is nowhere near you.

  7. I thought TIZ was reporting figures based on Auditor General’s report. More to be offloaded and I am certain Chishimba will be the looser

  8. My list of grievances is growing. In addition to the nonsense of the cheap reflectors from auto shops, I am adding hate speech which is being allowed to go on in Zambia unabated. Why is it so convenient to just digress from the subject and start hating? Are we practicing war craft or what?

  9. The problem we have is that the Auditor General’s report has become an academic exercise that does not result in the action that one would expect when plunder and impropriety is uncovered. We need to arm the auditor general’s actions with more teeth to actually commit these reports to a judicial action automatically.
