PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Davies Chama has charged that the ruling party cannot fall into the same trap like the previous regimes who failed to satisfy the majority Zambians.
Mr Chama said today that UNIP and MMD failed to deliver the much needed people’s expectations adding that the PF Government was working around the clock to correct the mistakes left by the two regimes.
He said the PF Government was working towards the construction and reconstruction of the roads, hospitals and schools as part of satisfying the majority Zambians.
“Universities and hospitals are being constructed and opened by the Patriotic Front Government. So our role is to try correcting the mistakes created by UNIP and MMD governments,” he said.
He said UNIP was in power for 27 years with MMD governing the country for 20 years which he both created different mistakes.
Mr Chama the ruling party was careful with some of its decisions it was currently making in ensuring that people were satisfied with its policies.
He said the operationalisation of the Chipata-Mchinji railway line was one of the biggest milestones which the PF had scored in Eastern Province.
He said soon, the railway line would be extended to link the Tanzania –Zambia Railway Authority (TAZARA).
Mr Chama is the man. PF has opened up township roads were second hand cars are thriving. PF is the process of revamping Zambia rail ways. So far so good

Its mis-guided and dangerous pride on the part of Chama to insinuate that PF is not making mistakes. While we recognise the efforts being made in the construction sector, we are also worried about unplanned expenditures without looking at the current cashflows.
My problem with the zambian politicians is that, all they care about is themselves and not the people nor the country. None of the political parties has the audacity to stand and objectively tell the zambians what is obtaining in the world economy.
The copper prices have continued to fall in the international markets, even the chinese shoulder we have been leaning on, their economy is strugglying.

Offside ba Chama, UNIP and MMD addressed the challenges that faced them in their time. Good governance is all about continuity of government, it’s like a relay race. The PF of Sata tried to reverse some previous gains, continued with others, and even took credit for successes that they did not initiate. And PF certainly made monumental mistakes in their time under Sata, just like all future presidents, including HH if he was electable, will have their fair share of mistakes. But never mind, we are talking continuity of government here. I thought Mr Chama was saying that His Excellency President Lungu was correcting the mistakes of Mr Sata (Mhsrip), for that would be the appropriate and correct heading of this article. Comment: Mr Chama , UNIP used to operate in a very hostile setup .There was cold war in the world and the liberation struggle in most of our neighbouring countries which we supported. Despite this hostility UNIP had home grown industries biased in production and viable infra structure tied to the home economy growth.

Truly ba Chama, what is development if people can’t afford 3 meals a day? There are power cuts for over 8 hrs a day? More cars on the road when there is congestion? Hospitals don’t have the drugs people need? You depend on SA for most of our needs?
