Two days ago a Mr. N’shingebuka Shamenda masquerading as an FDD Coordinator issued a press statement demanding that President Edith Nawakwi steps down as FDD President within 14 days.
Out of respect for our members and the general public we have decided to release this press statement to clear the air.
Here are the facts:
- Mr. N’shingebuka Shamenda does not hold any position in the FDD therefore, he has no legal or moral right to speak on behalf of the Party.
- There is no such position as Coordinator in the hierarchy or Constitution of the FDD. Therefore Mr. Shamenda’s claim that he is FDD Copperbelt coordinator is not only null and void but illegal. Mr. Shamenda is an imposter who deserves to be behind bars.
- The only connection between Mr. N’shingebuka Shamenda and FDD is that he once volunteered to work as an Office Orderly at our Copperbelt Secretariat in Ndola. His duties were among others to act as a mail runner and to sell FDD membership cards.
- Three months ago the party wrote Mr. Shamenda, requesting him to account for the money realised from the sell of Party cards. After failing to account for the money the party chased him from the Secretariat where he was keeping up and now he is stranded. It is from this ejection and rejection that he has sought to malign and maliciously attack President Nawakwi in a bid to draw attention so that our opponents may notice him and give him some few coins for survival. Njala Yamunyokola!
- The National Policy Committee (NPC), which is the governing organ of the party, last year convened and resolved that FDD shall go to a national Convention in line with the Party Constitution before the 2016 general elections. This decision was officially communicated to the leadership and general membership of the Party including the media.
- The Party is currently conducting elections at branch, ward and Constituency levels in readiness for the national convention and the 2016 general elections.
- Our country is plunged in a deep economic crisis therefore we as a Party we shall not waste our time on empty chatter coming from Honourable Fackson Shamenda’s nephew.

but you Antonio you don’t hold any position in pf and yet you comment on pf matters and government matters how do you use a lame excuse to deny your member who comes out to challenge over what is constitutional according to fdd.
