House music pioneer Eleftherios Mukuka has released a new song titled Milena, a Zulu love song dedicated to his girlfriend Milena Tmava and featuring Cephas Maseko  ,who is one of the longest-serving entertainers in the country.
Eleftherios, who has attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, United States, and recently released his debut album Heart, has in the past collaborated with a number of musicians from different genres.
On his debut album, he worked with local gospel musician Abel Chungu, Kiki, his childhood friend Allan Thompson, guitarist David Andish, Russian musician Maksin Krythtin and British producer Adam Cooper.
Cephas Maseko is a versatile ,great vocalist, he has done a lot to contribute to the growth of genres like jazz, gospel and choral.
The veteran is still active, playing weekly at the Taj Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka. But you may remember him from the 1980s when he used to present the ‘Maseko Variety Show’ and the ‘Sweet Soul Show’ with the Chawama Songsters as the host choral group.

  1. Cephas Maseko VOICE WAS THE ONLY SENSIBLE AND POWERFUL IN THIS MUSIC. PLAYED WITH REAL INSTRUMENTS THIS PIECE OF MUSIC WOULD HAVE BEEN WORLD CLASS. NOW, THIS NONSENSE OF SAMPLING MUSIC ON A COMPUTER HAS TOTALLY MADE THIS MUSIC SH!T EVEN WITH THE POWERFUL VOICE OF MASEKO.

  2. I WISH SOMEONE CAN SUGGEST PUTTING THIS SWEET POWERFUL VOICE IN REAL PLAYED INSTRUMENTS. BA Cephas Maseko, WHY DIDN’T YOU SUGGEST THAT REAL INSTRUMENTS PLAYED. YOU HAVE WASTED YOUR VOICE, MAN.
