Lusaka, Zambia, 11th December 2015 – On behalf of the Patriotic Front (PF) leadership and the general membership, I wish to express the sadness we share with firstly the Simusamba Family which feels the greatest pain of this loss than any of us.

It is also befitting that on behalf of PF, I pass our deepest condolences to the United Party for National Development (UPND) on the loss of a dedicated comrade and fellow citizen. While the late Kuchunga Simusamba lived we could have held different political views but one undeniable fact is that he gave the best as a Citizen to a country he so loved.

The political arena will surely miss his critical voice on many national matters. As we mourn our departed Comrade Simusamba, I would urge that put aside our political differences and give him a well-deserved send off. May his Departed Soul Rest in Peace.

Mrs. Mumbi Phiri
PF Deputy Secretary General

  1. Well said Madam Phiri. Though we have divergent political ideologies, we should mourn one another as all of us shall pass through death one day whether we like it or not because death was sanctioned by God when our fore fathers sinned. So when a comrade dies, we need to mourn with the bereaved family.

  2. @Chingende is Hh a doctor. its not like it was the doctors who were stopped from seeing the patient. Everything you have to politic.

  3. Madam Phiri, this spirit of grieving with the opposition is commendable. Embrace each other at all times both in joyous times and mourning times. We are one people despite having divergent opinions/ beliefs. Lets end politics of hatred and violence in our beautiful country.

  4. Chingende, comments of hatred will never take you anywhere! Be a sober Zambian who is not posed with hate and anger. Politicking in all situations is not a sign of maturity. Death is something that we should treat with respect whether the deceased is a comrade or not. So learn to differentiate time for politicking and time for mourning.

  5. @AVINOCAYA chingede chipuba tafundwa,if they tell you that you are satana ist you say no but you are have no remorse,no grief weka pubawe

  6. The comment by chingende simply shows how upnd rejoices over the death of someone. If the late was from pf they would ‘ve been taking turns insulting the departed. RIP

  7. The message of condolences from the PF is nothing but hypocritical one. Mumbi Phiri should explain why her party sent a full battalion attempting to block HH from seeing the Deputy SG.
I agree with people who are saying that the PF played a 100% role in the death of the late Simsamba. The Man was poisoned in UTH by Edgar Lungu’s secrete services no wander they wanted to block HH from visiting him in hospital. Edgar Lungu is desperate wanting to retain the presidency next year.
We shall see which people will vote for muderous PF and blood thirsty Lungu.

  8. well said madam..let people differentiate politics and social human nature…politics is a game who ever plays it well, wins..ba hildah naba avinocaya…bakaamba learn or else mukafwa nama shoko!!!

  9. This is what we expect from a ruling party and not sending cadres to brutalise those with different views like the situation in Chipata. On this one I commend you Mumbi

  10. i think ba fake hildah malama mwalatapa ukucindika, u shud learn one thing fr this death tt anyone can die at anytime wether sick or not. Cos the way u have bn wishing Edgar Lungu to die tt not the right way my fake sister it shud be, learn from pf cadres noone is celebrating the death of DSG we o feel sad and sorry for the family. the more u wish others death the more u become disappointed and frustrated its only God who has the key 4 o of us. may the soul of the departed rest in peace

  11. I was in Monze when Former Vice President George Kunda (MHSRIP) passed away. A caller called a local radio station to express his happiness at that happening. The journalist tried to rebuke him but the man insisted that he was merely expressing his opinion.

Hildah Malama , Chingende,Kamalasha and others are only expressing their negative opinions but normal people on this sight can simply say, “MHSRIP- May the soul of Kuchunga Simusamba rest in peace

  12. Very sad. MHSRIP. But when HH was blocked by police at UTH, one UPND reported in parliament that he went to visit a chief.

  13. It’s a life of a person we are talking about here not what they were. All souls are equal before God even that of an unknown fellow in the rural areas of Zambia. So Mumbi for once is right

  14. LET TRUTH BE SAID…
MUMBI IS JUST POLITICKING. TUBUTUKILA KUMALWELE AMALILO TAYAPWA. PF BLOCKED HH WHO WAS GOING TO SEE A SICK PERSON.IF YOU’VE BEEN SICK BEFORE YOU WILL HOW COMFORTING THIS IS TO THE SICK.THIS WAS DENIED SIMUSAMBA. AND PROBABLT HE DIED KNOWING GOVT QAS BLOCKING CERTAIN PEOPLE FROM SEEING HIM … WHAT A SHAME. AND IF THW DEAD TALK WHERE THEY GO WHAT STORY IS HE TELLING THEM..AM AURE HE IS FEELING PITY ON RHE SUFFERING ZAMBIAN SOULS AND THOSE WITH CROCODILE TEARS… HOWEVER GOD IS SEEING THROUGH US ALL!
